Ive been a member at Crunch at Staten Island for more than 6 months and in that time Ive seen a rapid decline in cleanliness in both the ladies room and the general area. The machines look like no one ever cleans them at night and they are covered with dust. The ladies room always looks dirty with toilet paper and other garbage on the floor. I find the staff to be very friendly although I was surprised one morning when I asked who was teaching a class the answer I got was "I have no idea". The young lady behind the counter didnt care and made no attempt to find the answer to my question. Very unprofessional. The machines are up to date and I dont really have to wait for one to be available for me to use it. Other than the bench of the pull down rope needing to be replaced the machine are in good working order. I like Crunch. I like its location and I like the price. I would really appreciate them shaping up and returning to the quality they had when they first opened.

Ive been a paying costumer for over two years. I havent been to the gym in months. Maybe went twice in a year. I was about to cancel, but my debit carded got canceled. So, since there is no contract I didnt think it was a big deal. Wrong! I began getting harassing phone calls and text. I called them numerous times and sent emails. Only to be told that they took a memo, but I still had to come in person. I finally was able to come in today only to be told that unless I paid for the last two months that I cant cancel!!!! I asked to speak to a manager only to get told that "the manager will tell you the same thing anyway". So, youre telling me even though there is no contract and I havent used the facilities that I will continue to get billed unless I pay for something I didnt use?! Im just so tired of companies trying to take advantage of their costumers as soon as they want to cancel?!

One star because they are a ripoff. They care more about money than customer satisfaction. Avoid them if you can. If you are paying by credit or debit, they will charge you unnecessary fees and would not even refund. I had a charge of $50 on my card, and upon inquiring, they said they will refund it in 5-10 business days as my card was charged accidently. When I went back after two weeks, they said they cant refund because I notified them after three days the charge was made. What a ridiculous excuse!! After talking to the General Manager Anthony, he said he will refund it but didnt. Later, Manager Benito assured he will refund and even went to the extent saying the refund was issued to the card. Two weeks later, he gave the same excuse upon asking and said to talk to Anthony as he stopped the refund. I told them to keep the money and cancel my membership.

I went in to lower the fee because those who would have come with me are members of other sites. However I was told an additional fee was to be charge. I decided to cancel all together, it became an ordeal, and the person attending me did not what to sign his name to acknowledge my cancelation. When I called to speak to a supervisor he said ok and gave me someone who was not a supervisor, I asked to speak to a supervisor but instate I was told I had to explain why I wanted to speak to someone in charge he was refusing to even give me the name of the person in charge. This is not how costumers are to be treated. I would not recommend this site. This is very upsetting when people try to prevent you from talking to a supervisor, and was told I had to pay for next month because I didnt cancel on time?

I had join this gym but never went I have called all over the place trying to cancel my membership being that I been in Florida for some time they kept telling me I had to go to ny to cancel it Im how the hell am I going to do that you already made money off of me and I never had the time to use the facility ima mal sure I voice my case and expose these crooks they keep charging me trying to ruin my credit.... just cancel my membership you bunch of crooks...

The gym was great when it first opened but gradually the upkeep started to decrease. There is a lot of broken treadmill that read some type of error as soon as you try and start them. The bathrooms seem to be dirty more often, specifically, the womens room. There never seems to be enough cleaning supplies and paper towels. Often times paper towel machine are not working or spray bottle triggers dont function. However, the staff is generally quite nice.

Super clean. Excellent staff. Love it, they always got good music on,that really motivated us to work out even harder. Some nights they have a dj. And the machines are great and in good conditions. Staff are very friendly. Ladies the bathrooms are always clean. Same for ya guys. Crunch Fitness is exactly what I was looking for.

Great gym! I took a break and was working out at home for a few months. Just went back today and was happy to see they now have bumper plates for Olympic lifts and a new monkey bar set up which is great for working on your climbing strength or training for obstacle races!

Love the class but they really need to bring more morning Zumba classes back. It was an intricate part of my routine. It saddens me that just like that Monday and Tuesday morning Zumba has vanished from the schedule. I am definitely disheartened.

Good place to work out. Always looks packed but you can typically find a bench or machine to work out on within a few mins. People are friendly as well. Only thing I would recommend is to extend the hours on weekends as they close fairly early.

Very corporate and chain like. Went for the personal training. My trainer was sweet, but he seemed bored and uninterested in what he was doing. He often starts late and ends early. The classes are only 1/2 hour and crowded. Disappointed.

I couldnt be happier with this gym! Its great, convenient, and wonderful hours for those of us that work. Everyone is so nice! Benito, Gabby, Julia, Alyson, you all make my time at the gym even better, keep up the good work :)

Machines and equipment that break go unfixed for weeks at a time. For the little that we pay in membership I understand, but you cannot plan a full workout around this. The staff is friendly and the location is great.

Coming from NYSC and planet fitness it is not the same feeling. A tad more expensive than planet fitness, but cheaper then nysc. NYSC has the better equipment hands down. One level but can get crowded w kids, etc.

This is by far one of the best gyms Ive had. The staff is very helpful and friendly. It has a wide range of machines and free weights. Has helped me transform myself into an athletic fitness freak

Classes are great!!! Especially Yoga and Zumba. Very clean, a lot of space, can get Crowed in the weights area but overall very good, The staff is Friendly, trainers there are good as well...
