I had a Flywheel and Starter replaced at Tire Tech & Auto Repair in Oakland. A very involved task. I knew my starter was going and saw Tire Tech & Auto Repair on RepairPal. So I drove the car over thinking that I would check the place out and get an estimate. As I only had one estimate and that was from the dealer. When I went to start the car so that the guy (Steven) could hear the noise, it was totally shot. The starter just spun. As a result, I left the car there and they got back with an estimate. Knowing that it was an involved task, I was a little reluctant in letting them do the job as I never had any work done there before. All said and done the car was back in my possession within a few days. Starting and running like a charm. Oh yea, I had one issue with the alignment and they immediately rectified the situation. While I was waiting, I had the opportunity to chat with the owner and the gentlemen Steven behind the counter. I found both of them very sincere. Long story short, yes I will service my car there again. Tire Tech is not around the corner from my house, but at least I feel they are honest and the car will be in good hands. Thanks guys...

I came into Tire Tech needing 4 new tires. Mike was amazing on the phone and guided me expertly to an affordable solution. Once I arrived, they were incredibly professional and courteous and went above and beyond in the customer service dept. The employees seemed to genuinely enjoy working there and I could not have been more pleased with the service and price. Importantly, I am from out of state, and usually maintain my car somewhere else. They knew I was from VA and still elected to give me a discount on some services even though I may never return because of where I live. True professionals. Highly recommended!! Thanks Mike and Sam!!! PS, since my sister and her husband (and many friends of mine) live in the area, I will be recommending these guys to all of my friends and family

Thank you Sam & Mike for the amazing job you did on my car. I was visiting Oakland for a Wedding walk thru and my tire had a major issue! Unfortunately they were not able to help me that Saturday BUT they did fix it first thing in the morning on Monday. I was not the easiest or happiest person when I first walked into the store BUT they made me feel better by assisting me with kindness and they got me the best price for my expensive Pirelli tires! I felt really confident that they adjusted and fixed all that was wrong with my car. :) Looking forward to seeing them again when I am in Oakland for the wedding and appreciate their help! A repair location with good intentions and awful execution. I came in for a routine electrical problem and left with a $2,400+ bill, for an issue which a dealership later described as "routine." Receiving my car back later, I encountered serious issues with other parts of my engine, whose estimate was close to $1,000 dollars at a dealership. I brought the car back to address these issues, and was told the car ran great and that there was no issue with the motor. Going to get the car repaired at a dealership soon for the additional price tag. Not recommended for engine work, perhaps tires and brakes, but not intricate tasks.

I was fortunate enough to go to Tire Tech on Saturday and left totally satisfied and as if I was related to Mike and Sammy; the way they take care of their customers is truly humanistic and extremely knowledgeable. I had four new tires put on my car. The took care of my car as if they owned it... fussing, personal care, everything done just right and perfect with no gotchas or extras... and quick. I will return with my other car when its due for tires -- for sure. The best discovery ever.. I highly recommend Tire Tech in Oakland... especially Mike and Sammy. Thank you guys, Im very, very happy. Thank you!

As a woman, it is so refreshing to walk into a car repair place and not be treated like an idiot. Sammy and his team listen to your problems and do the best to fix them. They are honest, timely, and very approachable. All Garages should be this accessible. Very reasonable prices. I would say exceptional service was done on time and on the budget. This shop got recommended by a friend and will be my go to shop from now on for basic repairs. Tire changes, engine work, full service transmission, suspension work, breaks repairs, aliment - thats some of the services they provide.

Tire Tech has always done a great job with tires for all our cars. Recently, the air conditioning system on my sons car stopped working, and he was due to leave for college. I took a chance on Mike, as my regular garage couldnt even look at it until 4 days later. He squeezed me in that afternoon, diagnosed the problem as a bad relay, had the part within a few hours and my son was on his way. I appreciate that both Sam and Mike respect my time and always try to accommodate my schedule.

Brought car ion for rear brakes. The sign in the office says $99.00 brake service. They charged me $617.00. Asked If I rode the car with the emergency brake on, then said they could not remove the brake drum and had to cut it off. They also has a $28.00 shop supplies fee on my bill. They grossly inflated the prices of the parts (check the internet) and did not call before starting the repair even though I checked that box on the drop off form. Avoid these guys at all costs !

Omg had the worst day today Im not from around here I actually from brooklyn new and I was on my way too Woodbury commons when My car stalled and and I had to get towed I walked and found this place the ppl here are great from the mechanics too the gas ⛽️ atendents they found the issue on my car and I was saved and they save me money I swear this is supper real thanks too Mike and the crew you saved me ..wish you worked in Brooklyn New York u will make A lot of money

I have been using tire tech for about 7 years now. They are upfront on all costs (and fair) and they are honest about whether your car has a real issue or not. The technicians are knowledgeable and friendly. From the basic tire installation to bringing in my car for a strange noise they have been top notch! They have worked on various makes and models of cars for us over the years and the results are always fantastic. We dont go anywhere else.

I called Tire Tech about needing 2 new tires. Both Tara and Mike were amazing on the phone and gave me several options for buying tires. I dropped it off at 8am Saturday and they were already done by the time I got out of my bootcamp class across the street. Now thats service!
