I have to say this is the first time Im writing a review - thats how upset I am from getting completely ripped off from Quality Auto Centers in South Orange NJ. Heres my story: This past fall (Oct - 2012) I went to this place for new brakes, ties and oil change.....which cost me over $1,800...I didnt think twice about it because I just wanted the best for my car "Quality". Quality is the last thing I received!!!! Two weeks ago my car starts shaking when I pressed on the Brake - this typically happens when its time for new brakes. How can that be...I just paid to have this done by Quality Auto Centers in South Orange NJ? I bring my car to a family mechanic (2 hour drive - because I cant TRUST any of these auto repair shops). My family member told me the brakes and rotors Quality Auto Center put on were EXTREMELY cheap quality and are completely shot!!!! This is just bad business - I hope this guy is shut down or goes out of business for what he does to the locals that use him

Ive been coming here for about 12 years. When Ray and Reuben was working there the customer service was great. Theyll work with you on the price etc. The owner Ken is an ass and once they left the service went down hill. They dont work with their loyal customers anymore to keep the business coming to them. The new people that work there sucks. Looking for a new place to service my car. I advise to not go to them. Convenient location but I rather travel elsewhere. After returning to Quality Auto to have work done on my daughters car. I was pleased to see tremendous improvement in Kens customer service skills. He definitely shows that he values loyal customers and is fair with his pricing. The mechanics there are the best. Ive known them for years. Ken is willing to work with you to get the job done. Im definitely returning to Quality in the near future. Loyal Customer

I have been dealing with this shop for over a year and I have never had a bad experience. The guys at the shop are always pleasant, professional, knowledgeable and I have never felt as if they were trying to take advantage of me. Every time I drop my vehicle off, I am contacted with details and repair options if available. As a woman, it is hard to find a decent auto shop . However, Quality Auto (South Orange) has definitely gained my trust. I would recommend this shop to anyone who wants quality work done. I must reiterate that all of the staff (even the owner) have been extremely nice, helpful and professional throughout every contact I have had-which has been over 5 times with 2 different vehicles.

BEWARE OF THESE SCAMMERS AND LIERS! I had to take my car there 3x in one week for the same issue!!! The third time, they got a flat tire while the mechanic when to go get lunch in my car! they failed to tell me!! the only reason I found out is because they did not put my spare back where it belonged! then I realized they didnt even put my original tire back on (which was new!!!!) they replaced it with an old used tire!!!! this is by far the worst place to do business with!!!!

Ive gone to Quality on several occasions to have my car and my daughters car serviced. I have always found Ken and his staff to be very friendly and accommodating. The staff are so great that I will continue to do business with them. Their pricing is fair and they work with you. It is also conveniently located.

Came in for an oil change on a Saturday, the place looked very busy, they took my car in as soon as they could. I was in and out on one hour. They gave me no pressure recommendations about services my car would need in a near future with $$ estimates so I can prepare and budget for.

Ok... still within the process of getting my truck fixed, so time will tell if I eventually come back here and update my review, but so far not good. Repeat visits to try and fix the problem, etc. Will report back.
