BY FAR THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE AT A HAIR SALON! First off the woman who did my hair was so incredibly unprofessional from her attire to her foul mouth. She also should be ashamed to call herself a hairstylist. My hair was healthy and I just had it cut three weeks prior at another salon. I asked for a very simple service which she made into a fiasco of needing to do x, y , and z in order to get "what I wanted" (just a few simple highlights touched up and I mentioned I wanted thin highlights but want it natural looking) as she proceeded to do my color she then said that something different might end up being "needed" and she just kept finishing her sentences with "this is going to be expensive" literally every other sentence out of her mouth was "this is going to be expensive" I was confused if she was insinuating that she felt I wasnt going to be able to afford it or that she was just taking advantage of me by tacking on more services bc I told her I am used to my hair costing me to have done. After the different "processes" she then goes to blow out my hair, asked me IF and then HOW I wanted it blown out. I said I did yes of course, She interrupted my sentence to say "thats $40more" (yet the glowing neon sign at the desk read $25 blowouts always or something to that effect. Then I finished my sentence and said that I did not want it straight, I wanted it with volume and blown out with a rounded brush. Her response "well curls are extra" I wanted to scream bc I felt like there should have been a damn "cha-Ching" sound effect to play every time she opened her damn mouth. She agreed to my saying fine if she legit was going to charge me to blow out my damn hair then blows the hair half way then whips out her straightener and STRAIGHTENS MY HAIR!!!! It has been a week and my damn hair is so unbelievably dead and every time I touch my hair pieces are breaking and falling off! When I went to blow out my hair two days after I noticed that she clearly let the highlights bleed and there are patches of color that shouldnt be in the spots bc of her sloppy work. If this unprofessional mess would have payed more attention to her job rather than singing and gossiping with her coworker or taking her next cigarette break (awful) then maybe my hair wouldnt be breaking off and so discolored. I wasnt given any sort of understanding wtf I paid over $200 for! I am used to paying 200 and even more for my hair but what I asked for this time wasnt even close to what I have had done in the past and what I ended up getting surely was not worth the money I ended up paying! BEWARE OF THIS SALON I went in with a friend who also had a similar horrific experience and her hair is breaking off as well. I would say the products they use must be garbage but I cant solely blame the product more so the person using the products! Terrible,awful,shameful, atrocious, all words to describe this "service or lack there of," that I received at this salon!

My experience with this saloon was terrible! i went there expecting a high standard service and i really regret walking in there, im not an "ex-angry employee" i am a client who was seeking a nice new look and my bad luck sent me to this saloon, Veronica is the one who did my highlights..a very nice lady but has no idea about hair coloring, she ruined my hair and gave me the ugliest highlights everrrr..i paid 150$ and i received a very cheap highlights,and they fixed my hair with a dark color..so i have paid that money to get a dark brown hair and they took an extra 25 $ !!! not only that! i dont know what products they used as my hair became extremely dry, its been 2 months now and its still sooo dry and totally damaged, i hope they can get some hair professionals and stop damaging womens hair!

Love this salon! I went in a few years ago after a recommendation from my mom. I had long, straight hair that was one length. My stylist was Cookie. She asked if I had wanted to do something different to my hair rather than keeping a blunt cut. I had toyed with the idea but never knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. She told me she could put some long layers in it, to which I agreed. Im so glad I did because my hair looked so awesome! I was obsessed. I dont dye my hair so I cant speak for coloring services, but the cut and blow out I get each time is great! Needless to say, Cookie is now my hairdresser and Ive had a dozen appointments with her since. I would definitely recommend this salon.

I have been a customer at Pure for about 4 years now (Nicole is my stylist) and I cannot say enough what a fabulous salon Pure is! Everyone is very friendly, the salon is immaculate, and the service is impeccable. I get SO many compliments on my hair and I am always happy to tell people theres only one place in the area they should go - PURE!!! Nicole and her staff are very professional, but they are also lots of fun! I am a regular "every six weeks" customer and I look forward to my visits there! Thanks Nicole, for all you do!

Ive been to some great salons from Europe to Asia and here in the US, but Ive never been to a salon that provides you with an educational experience on how to maintain ones own unique hair requirements! I was very pleased with the enlightenment of self hair care, in between visits, so that I can look my best for my fiancée Matt at all times!!! The staff is very courteous, professional, and attentive! I will be sure to stop by here, the next time I swing through NJ!

My mom liked it a lot. She came in a half hour before closing and they were kind enough to take her right away and fit her in for color, cut and blowout for a great price. She said they were really nice and professional. The owner could not have been nicer.
