I am not from NJ and have been doing a lot of research to finally find my forever hair stylist/salon. I really liked the pictures the owner had posted on her fb page and thought Shear Glamour would be able to provide me with what I needed. I called the salon and made an appointment two weeks in advance for Thursday, March 12, 2015 at 1pm. I told the receptionist that I had very long, heavy, and thick hair and needed someone who would be comfortable trimming, layering, and essentially taking all the weight off. I was scheduled with Jenn. I arrived on time and was not seen till 1:25 pm. Jenn was right in the middle of highlighting a client and was surprised when the receptionist told her I was there. Jenn sat me in the chair next to her clients and asked me what I wanted, I explained to her that I wanted all the weight taken off and she then said, "You want me to use thinning shears cause I dont use those." I told her she could use whatever was comfortable with her. During the entire consultation I could tell that I was annoying her and that she wanted nothing to do with me or my hair. She said I would be shampooed in a bit and went back to her client where she continued to ignore me. I waited another 10 minutes before deciding I didnt want Jenn anywhere near my hair and walked out. Also, I live in Colts Neck so I traveled about 35 minutes with 3 tolls to and from only to drive back with no hair cut. With that kind of customer service I dont know how this salon has been rated so highly.

Ill never go back to this place again. I thought I was going in their to get a blowout so my hair would be nice, shiny, soft and full I got the exact opposite my hair is dull and it feels like straw. I called them to refund my money and they said they dont do that and to come back and get it done over by someone else. ILL NEVER STEP FOOT INTO THIS PLACE AGAIN. I dont want the "free" conditioning treatment and blow out when it should have been right the first time. Terrible way to run a business an unsatified customer and they dont refund the money back. Horrible damaged my hair never has my hair felt this way in my life! I have long long hair and its so healthy they made it feel like I bleached my whole head. Terrible place I would have given it ZERO stars if I could. My last name is Catalano. I had an apt there 11/19/16. Just to clarify incase they think Im writing a review just to write one.

Im beyond thrilled to have found Shear Glamour! I moved to the area a year and a half ago and was on the hunt for a new salon. I had previously gone to a high end salon in Colts Neck and was with the same stylist for almost 18 years. As you can imagine, I wasnt going to trust just anyone! I was also weary due to severe thinning of my hair from IV treamtents I had been receiving. At last, I found Shear Glamour and most importantly, Ashley. Her and the entire staff made me feel very comfortable and welcome. Everyone was pleasant and professional and the salon is beautiful! The prices are fabulous and the service, even better. Im SO happy to have found Ashley and Shear Glamour. Everytime I leave the salon, I feel like a brand new woman. I am no longer self conscious of my formerly damaged, thinning & weak hair thanks to Ashley. She has revived my hair! Thank you Ashley & Shear Glamour!

I have been a client of Katrinas for 8 years now. For all 8 yrs Katrina has bleached and colored my hair and I have experienced NO breakage, NO dryness. I get compliments all the time on how pretty my hair is and who did it. I have sent numerous referals to her and the salon and EVERYONE of them have turned into repeat clients because they are so happy with their results. What I like most about Katrina and her salon is that they are honest and if your hair is not ready for a touch up or color change they will not do it just for money like other salons. GOOGLE USERS "STEPHANIE and AA1985" could not be more wrong in their reviews if you look at their rating history the majority.of their ratings are bad...they are just people who are miserable and cant be pleased. Katrina is AMAZING!

The most terrible experience Ive had getting my hair done! I made my hair appointment at 3:00 pm, and showed up at 2:50. When we got there they lied and told us my appointment was at 3:30. As we were waiting until 3:30 my hair stylist left. They tried to put me with another "top stylist" but she got preoccupied with another walk in. While waiting in the hair chair 2 Capri hair students came in to fill out applications. The cashier put the Capri students to do my hair and Shear Glamour expected $65, saying they took off 20%. EVEN THOUGH thats the original price they said over the phone. We walked out only paying $20. After all, the only thing we used of Shear Glamours was a curling iron. DO NOT GO TO SHEAR GLAMOUR!!!!! IT IS NOT WORTH THE REWARD!!!!!!

Shear Glamour is a beautiful salon. When you walk in you are greeted with a smile and made to feel special. You are asked if you want a beverage while you wait. The salon is clean and decorated beautifully. Katrina the owner consistently thinks of new and innovative ways to keep her customers happy which shows how much we as customers no matter how big or small remain truly happy. Birthday blowouts, special groups, promotions of all kinds. Her and her employees showcase of work and talent is top notch for all services provided. Prices are comparable to many other salons but the customer service far exceeds mosts salons I have been to! I would definitely recommend getting beautified here!

I waited for the longest time at this place. When I was finally taken in I felt super rushed, these people have no sense of time and I felt as if they definitely didnt respect my time. The front desk girl must have no clue what shes doing. Are you overbooking people? Not smart Red! Why cant they just be honest? Just be upfront with what time I can get services, dont be misleading and irritate customers and lose them. I was irritated as well as other customers that were clearly just squeezed into the schedule. Give your clients the proper attention they deserve, your high quality prices should reflect high quality service. I will not return nor recommend my friends to this place.

Love the salon and people .. But I cant rate higher than a one because I have been doing nothing but crying for three days.. Im crying as I write this.. I havent cut my hair if four years because I was traumatized the last haircut I had at a different salon.. Well I dont think I will ever get my hair cut at any salon ever again.. Cut about four inches shorter than I wanted in the front. I even said to her I cant have my hair short in the front because Im too heavy it makes me look even bigger.. I look horrible.. I didnt want to say anything in the salon because I probly would have started crying and they would think Im nuts.. I look horrible.. :(
