A courteous, professional and reasonably priced local plumbing service. Had a great experience with RupCoe during a distressful situation! We had a sewer line backed up and flowing sewage in the basement. I should first mention that I called Roto Rooter first, was sent to the local branch and left a message for them and I still have not heard back. I called RupCoe very late on a Friday night and left a message requesting to schedule a plumber in the morning. I received a call at 7:15AM the next morning from a very helpful and courteous woman from RupCoe to confirm that I still would like service and that she would schedule the next available technician and would call me right back with an approximate time. She called me back in 10 minutes that a tech would be to me in about a half hour. The tech (Steven) arrived at 8AM, met me and went right to work. He located the source (which was the house trap) and thoroughly cleaned it out. I had asked him if they are able to be hired for the large clean-up job (as I have a ton of storage items that have been affected) as well, and he said they only do the plumbing, but could refer me a company who would work with my homeowners insurance (whom I hired after this visit - DryTech Restoration). After telling Steven that this isnt the first time this back-up occured, he advised me of a way to remove the house trap and put in a straight pipe with a check valve, which would eliminate future occurrence of a house trap backup. He cleaned up after himself, wrote a proposal for the house trap removal / straight pipe install, and wrote up the invoice for the services rendered. The bill was much less than I was expecting for emergency weekend service. All in all great experience!

the worst service experience!! I called because my oil furnace wasnt working right and the basement smelled of fuel oil. service guy came and in within 15 minutes of not even opening it up he says i might need a new boiler and that could be about $8,000.00!! so he said i needed a complete service and boiler lining which i agreed to the $1800.00 absurd charge according to the book they have. i needed heat that night as i have 3 small children. hoping this fixed this issue. well it didnt! i called back 10 days later and the same guy shows up and says i need more part and they are going to be about $850.00 to install according to the book! then he says that maybe i can do it myself. i asked why what he did before didnt solve the problem and he simply told me "that was a service and other things could happen". i said i could buy the whole burner setup for $350.00 so where is the $850. coming from and he couldnt answer. Its funny how a service tech will try to take any homeowner for a massive amount of money but they failed to see that this homeowner spent many years as a boiler technician in the US Navy, now those are commercial boilers not residential and i needed to make sure initially that the boiler has a safe operation. so the parts that the so called Tech said i needed i picked up brand new for $80.00!! the funny thing is he still tried to sell me a service contract for $400+ dollars just after i paid 1300+ for the service part! So i do not recommend this company or the tech! I hope you feel great knowing you did this to a Veteran and i will continue the bad feeds to let the surrounding homeowners know about the ludicrous amounts of money you charge for not solving any issues!!

My experience with RupCoe was outstanding. We have a 1 year old and the furnace bit the dust 2 days before Thanksgiving. PSEG determined it was the smartvalve controller. Called about 20 difference HVAC contractors in the area, 19 of them gave me the same response: "We would have to order that part, and with the holiday you wont be getting it until Friday (day after thanksgiving)". Obviously with a 1 year old, going 4 days without heat including Thanksgiving day was not something we wanted to deal with. 1 out of 20 companies decided to put some effort in and help us. Paula is who I dealt with from the office, and she is amazing. She had me get the exact part no. for the valve and called around the area to find it at a supplier. She called me back 4-5 times giving me updates, and then sent a tech out (Bill) to confirm the diagnosis. Bill was awesome as well, arrived promptly, diagnosed the problem, and got in contact with the office who had preemptively gotten the part from the supplier for us. Sent out someone on night shift later that night, got he part installed and bang! Heat! My 1 year old wouldnt have to freeze through 4 night...not even one. Excellent customer service. Where 19 companies didnt want to put in extra effort, RupCoe did. I could tell they actually care about their customers. Its hard to separate the monetary aspect from something like an HVAC contractor, its always going to be pricey, but they didnt have to go the extra mile to help out our family. They could have told me the same thing as everyone else and put us off until after Thanksgiving, but they didnt. Thanks to everyone at RupCoe for basically saving our Thanksgiving.

I had a broken gasket in one of my toilet causing the water to run constantly I called 3 plumbing companies and Rupcoe called me back first. Since I am pretty busy i went with Rupcoe without checking their reviews and was charged $59.99 diagnostic fee. Then I was told by the technician that the gasket latch was broken and he had to replace the whole piece and quote $451 for it. I thought that was steep and mentioned that but the tech told me thats what was listed in the book. I asked him if there was any warranty on that he did not know. I agreed since i wanted it done and pd a whooping $481 for a toilet gasket ( NO WALLS WERE BROKEN, 20 MINS REMOVE AND REPLACE OPERATION). The next day one of the other companies called me and by curiosity i asked them to come and give me a price they quoted me $235. I went online and researched the price of that piece that was replaced and the most expensive one didnt cost even $25. I called the office and spoke to a supervisor steve who told me that that is what it costs to have an all decked out van with a professional tech come to you. That they are not the little man operating a solo operation and that their highly qualified technician had to get paid. O REALLY???? BY RIPPING OFF UNSUSPECTING CUSTOMERS. But thank God their technician warned me to research the price of their toto toilets that they were quoting me $1300 to replace when the very fancy from the toto website was selling at about $400 and he did not push that hefty insurance plans on me!!! SHAME ON YOU RUPCOE. FIRST AND LAST TIME I EVER USE RUPCOE....

Please "AVOID" this company. I had a water leak from the shut-off valve, which is before the water meter. I called the Water company to stop the water coming inside the house and they did it immediately. Then the technician from Rupcoe came in and repaired the shut off valve in 20 mins and charged $750.00 (including $130.00 for service charge). This is an BIZARRE and CUSTOMER RIPPING STRATEGY. This work was done on Friday and on Monday I talked with someone in the company to discuss the prices that were charge to us. The company representative "DEFENDED" this price and said this is a correct price charges to you, which is by their company book. I believe even a doctor would not be earning $750.00 for 20 mins of work. If you want to save your money then stay away from this company. Please ask yourself, would you pay $750.00 for 20 mins of work to only change 3/4" of shut-off valve. Does this price seems to be sane? I would NOT RECOMMEND this company to anyone. Review Update: As Rupcoe Representative Mr. Shapteban said that I have contacted many other companies on the day I had problem is NOT TRUE. I wish I would have called other company on that day, by which I could have saved my money. Also Mr. Shapteban offered me around $150 credit to take this review out but I didnt accept that credit because I dont want other to face the same problem which I have faced of overcharging. I was told that they are charging for sending in an experienced Plumber. What Rupcoe is missing is they are not charging but "Overcharging" to the customer.
