Went here for the first time today to get a State Inspection. They took me in right away and the inspection took about 10-15 minutes. Very quick! Customer service was good. Ill definitely be going back there when I get my next oil change. Edit 11/24/13: Its been a year since my first review here, so I wanted to do an update. Ive been going here ever since my first time. These guys are still great. Ive been getting my regular oil changes here. The last oil change I got was a month ago. The owner took me back to the garage and showed me that my tires were very worn out. First of all, other shops that Ive went to, they never SHOWED me what problems I had with my car. When the owner said to me come with me, I need to show you something I was surprised because past mechanics Ive dealt with, never said that to me. Also, I get email notifications from them reminding me of up coming oil changes. The owner also keeps track of my mileage...good for when I need a tire rotation or engine flush or any service that needs to be done after a certain amount of mileage. I mean, thats good, reliable and trustworthy service to me!

I have been going to Spar Auto for about 10 years now. The reason I began going is because they had a sign outside noting that they were VW certified (and I had a Passat at the time), so I was trying to avoid going to a dealer and getting ripped off as Id read really bad reviews about a few of them. What I didnt know is that they service all kinds of vehicles that you might typically think that have to take to a dealer. Al, the head mechanic there is ridiculously HONEST and always gives you a thorough sand frank assessment of your vehicles issues. An honest mechanic? Isnt that an oxymoron? Cant even begin to tell you how many times Ive felt a mechanic was over diagnosing my car issues just so I could spend more money. I actually live about 35 miles away and Im still a customer as I cant imagine taking my familys vehicles anyplace else. Trust them wholeheartedly. Try them. Youll love them too. (:

Went there to get my broken engine mount bolts removed on my 96 rav4 the owner seems like a likable person but the technician started to complain about the job and that it was difficult to do even before looking at it,I finally convince them to take a look from under and that the timing belt was not an issue and that all the work was external, but the (maybe) technician convince the owner that it was too difficult to do and i took my rav 4 and left and never to return to that shop again and told my neighbor who refereed them to me, to do not go back to them. He always did complain that they was expensive and very slow and that it convenient mainly for minor tune ups. ps the bolt was removed by me in under 1/2 hr with a tweezers because it was not tight inside the engine block ,sorry they missed an opportunity to make a few more customers.

We have taken several vehicles to SPAR AUTO SERVICE for more then 15 years. Al Patel, Service Manager is a proven knowledgeable auto mechanic who provides excellent customer service. The SPAR technicians are courteous and eager to provide excellent service. Our first experience was with a car we took to SPAR for oil change service. We had complained to the dealer several times about a thumping noise when braking. Was told the brake system was in good condition. Al heard the noise. Found a problem with the braking system and corrected it. We trust the SPAR AUTO SERVICE and recommend them to family and friends.

Cowboy has no clue what he's talking about. This shop has the best prices and most honest, hard-working mechanics I've ever had work on my car. I never had any hidden charges, and I've never had a problem with them fixing my car. In September, my engine died out. The shop owner helped me find the best possible deal on purchasing an engine (believe me, I checked around). The mechanics were friendly and answered all my questions to ease my mind.

I would definitely recommend everyone to go to SPAR Auto for all their car troubles.

My car was squeaking and then it would not start. First they told me I needed a new battery because they charged it and it would not hold a charge.. When I told them that the battery is only 2 years old, they told be I needed new belts. I told them I had the belts replace one year ago and told them to forget it. I went to another mechanic and he tightened the alternator belt and the car is fine. Either Spar Auto doesnt know a thing about cars or they are crooks. Either way, I will not go their again.

I love the service the Spar Auto provides. They are very trustful & likable people and they treat with utmost respect to their customers. I have already recommended couple of my friends & family to go over there whenever they have any problem with their cars. The owner is friendly and wont charge much for the work. You can trust them and they arent like the other mechanic guys who charge more and tell us to replace parts which are not even in a bad condition.

AMAZING SERVICE EVERY TIME! Ive been taking my cars for over 15 years. Ive owned or been responsible for a variety of makes and models. They use the latest technologies since todays cars have computers in them to diagnose and fix issues. There isnt anything they cant fix. They are honest, friendly, and very passionate about what they do. If you have questions-they have answers! Anyone who speaks against them has to be a competitor! Steve

Al and the guys are always available to help out as best as they can! I feel theyre honest and work hard to keep their customers happy. I havent been sold services I didnt need and Al has personally looked for deals and better prices on parts. I Took My Car For Second Opinion For Brakes, They Didnt Find Anything Wrong With Brakes, All They Said I need to Get Done Clean & adjust Rear Brakes. Great Friendly & Professional People. ASE certified. I Would Recommend To Every One.
