This is the most frustrating and incompetently managed company with which I’ve ever done business. Ive rented their largest size unit for years and feel that they intentionally go out of their way to make things difficult for me and other customers. Ive talked to other customers at the storage lot and they have similar stories. I would have moved my stuff out long ago, but moving everything is so much work that I have tried to deal with the problems. I think this will finally be my last month with them. Not having access to my own property is just too frustrating. First, I rely on the companies that I do business with to either bill me regularly, or offer automatic payments. Without a monthly bill, it is easy to forget that I need to pay them, plus it provides me with their mailing address, so I dont have to look it up. Unfortunately, they do not believe in sending regular monthly bills. Instead, they randomly skip months and then send a late bill with overdue payments on it and lock my unit without notice. Then, they keep my unit locked for several weeks even after Ive paid the overdue months because they want to make sure my check clears, despite the fact that Ive never written a bad check in my life. One time (during the winter holidays), they went three months without sending a bill and then they sent a nasty letter that acknowledged their mistake while simultaneously blaming their customers and reminding us that it our responsibility to pay. I get Christmas and New Year cards from other businesses. From them, I get a nasty letter and a red lock on my unit. I dont have a problem paying my bills with any other company, but other companies actually send a regular bill! Second, their gate system is always broken. Either it is turned off and left open for anyone to enter at any time of the night, or it is closed and you cannot get access to the storage lot without calling management and waiting for them to open it. Since there is no other security besides the lock on our units and the flimsy garage doors, I feel it will be just a matter of time before some burglars wait for them to leave it open and break into a bunch of units in the middle of the night. This problem might be because their gate keypads have been poorly installed and that people with trucks hit them all the time. I drive a car, but I stop and get out of my car to access them because they are placed so poorly, so I can understand how someone driving a truck or pulling a trailer might hit them. Ive come close a few times when I tried to access them from my car. Third, I wonder if they dont intentionally skip billing customers so that they can pile up the late charges and then auction off the contents of the storage units when the customer cant pay the large bill. Ive been inconvenienced by their auction, too. They block off the gate and dont let anyone to drive onto the storage lot until it is done, and that is a major inconvenience when you arent warned about it and are borrowing a friends truck to move stuff into your unit. Be prepared to wait for hours. I wish that I had never gotten into this mess!

I am not going to go into a lengthy comment as to why you should NOT do buisness with these people. I will say that they are very dumb and run a lousy show. I would never rent a storage unit from these people ever again. Their prices are outrageous as well.
