Worst experience ever! If you are reading this, DO NOT USE THIS STORAGE PLACE! There are so many other places to go, skip this one. Here is why: When I went to Extra Space Storage BOHEMIA, I though it was like every other storage place. Until I started to talk to the manager, Anthony, who signed me up for my unit. First off, I was only going to be putting some tools and some parts for my Jeep in the unit and did not want insurance. The manager would not allow me to opt out of the insurance. I told him I didnt want the insurance, and he said I couldnt rent there without it. Finally I said I was going to go somewhere else and he changed his tone. He went from being very pushy about it, to less pushy, but still did not let up. I needed the unit, so I finally caved in and bought the insurance that I didnt want just to get out of there. But it left a bad taste in my mouth. As soon as the paperwork was done he asked me to write him a review on Google Reviews. THIS IS WHEN THE REAL PROBLEMS STARTED. I told him I would, again just to get out of there. I have no problem writing a positive review for someone online, but only if they go above and beyond for me. This guy strong-armed me into buying insurance I didnt want and did nothing special to warrant any review at all. In fact, the unit that he set me up with had a hole in the wall with light coming through! If light can get through than water can come in. I asked Anthony about the hole and he said not to worry about it. I immediately felt like I had made a mistake renting the unit from him. Then, over the next 5 days, Anthony texted my cell phone from his personal cell phone, bothering me about the review. I received a total of 10 text messages with him soliciting me for a 5 star review. I answered him back and told him I couldnt do it. He wouldnt leave me alone. Finally when I thought he was done, he sent another one. This was the final straw. I immediately left work, drove to the facility, took my lock off of the unit and went inside. I told him I was vacating and told him why. I also told him that I was going to finally write the review he has been constantly annoying me over, only this time, it wasnt going to be so nice. I asked him to pro-rate me for the money I spent on the unit. He took my card and then gives me back the receipt and they kept half the money! The unit cost me over $90 to rent, and then 5 days later, they only gave me back $45. And I never even moved anything in! To make things worse, there is a giant sign on the building that says 1ST MONTH FREE! This was never even offered to me. So not only did I not get the first month free, they charged me $45 for 5 days of which I didnt put one thing in the unit, and then strong-armed me into buying insurance that I didnt want and texted me over and over again for a review that wasnt earned. Now, I have no storage unit, Im out half of the money, and have had the absolute worst experience ever. DO NOT USE EXTRA SPACE STORAGE IN BOHEMIA UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE CHEATED, STRONG-ARMED AND ANNOYED CONSTANTLY. THERES YOUR REVIEW, ANTHONY. SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG TO GET AROUND TO WRITING IT.

Cant say enough good things about this facility or on-site manager Tony. During the course of my career as a fire inspector I have visited dozens(+) of self service storage facilities and have also personally used some in the past. I have never come across any other self storage facility that is this clean, well supervised or well managed. Tony (the manager) is one of the nicest people you could hope for - he is friendly, professional, helpful and caring. Thank you Tony! February 1, 2016 - Just went back to rent my third unit - yes, it is that good! Never imagined I would use a self-storage facility, never mind liking it this much. The facility is great. The units are better. The manager (Tony) is the best!

February 9th, 2016- Ive had an account with Extra Space Storage for over 2 years, so clearly Im satisfied with the service. The store manager, Tony DOnofrio, is extremely Patient, Polite and Professional; Always a pleasure to deal with both over the phone and in person. Its nice to deal with someone in client services/ customer service who actually wants to help and is ALWAYS pleasant in doing so! I feel Tony goes above and beyond. I recommend this facility.

OMG THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!! I WAS IN A JAM WHERE I HAD TO CHANGE MY STORAGE UNIT TO A BIGGER ONE AND WITH A SLAP IT WAS DONE WITH OUT ANY HASSLE. ON TOP OF THAT THE MANAGER ANTHONY DONOFRIO HELPED ME MOVE MY THINGS OVER WHICH WAS NOT ONLY NICE OF HIM BUT REALLY SWEET THAT HE WOULD GO BEYOND HIS JOB TO HELP ME... Best storage experience I have ever had ! Toni is fantastic, hes so nice offered many times to help me move stuff into my unit and hes just a very very nice guy who acually cares about his customers! ! The property is clean and neat even with the massive snow storm we had a few weeks ago it was all cleaned and salted love extra space storage !!! Thank you toni for all your help I do appreciate it so much !!

Rented a storage unit from the Bohemia,NY location for about 18 months. I had a very pleasant experience. The manager Anthony was great and always greeted me with a smile. This was the first time I ever rented a storage unit and Anthony was so helpful walking me through the process. Facility is one of the cleanest I have ever seen. If I ever have a need for a storage unit again will be a returning Customer.
