I am a customer at the Coram Extra Space Storage for 5 or six months now and was happy with the service until they pulled a fast one on me when I went to upgrade to a larger unit. I found a rate on line that would allow me to double the size of my current unit for roughly 30% more in rent. When I called they encouraged me to come in but failed to tell me that in doing so they would not honor the online rate. Be sure to read the fine print and not let them rush you through the registration process. They will pull up a “click signature” type contract and unless you read the fine print it is slightly different in rates and policy from what they tell you in person. Don’t get me wrong, I am dope and should have been more diligent in reading the contract and should not have listened to the women who told me the higher rate included a transfer fee and pro-rated fee from my original unit. When I called to asked if there was anything that could be done they pretty much told me they were “near capacity” (i.e. “We don’t need your business sucka , so feel free to move your stuff out, we can have that unit filled by the end of the week). Check it out online… I am paying $185 a month for a 10’x10’.. if I just cancelled it and came in off the street I could have paid $150-$163..Not a good business practice. They got me!

Just moved out of Extra Space Storage in Coram, NY. Brenda and Steve were wonderful to work with over the last two years. The few problems I had were addressed professionally. They maintain a top notch storage facility and handle it with a professional attitude. On the day I was moving out, they happened to be having an auction, which I decided to walk along. One of the people who had their unit on the block actually paid during the auction and the winner of the auction could not claim it because they gave every chance for the person whose belongings were in the locker to pay. It really was a great experience as far as storage space can be concerned. Thanks for making the stay pleasant and carefree as it should be.

From the moment I picked up my telephone last March to reserve my 10 x 20 Indoor Climate Controlled unit for the end of May 2015 I felt assured that my worldly belongings would be safe. Alas, it took me 5 months to find a condo, close, and move! Extra Space Storage is very communicative with emailing customers to inform us of maintanence, which is assuring because the facility is kept very clean.Upon moving out of storage they have rolling carts available to use for free. Brenda and Chris at the Rt. 112 , Coram, NY deserve more than 5 stars for their knowledge, courtesy and prompt actions! I highly recommend this site!

I was experiencing a time crunch and which to get my belongings into storage. I called up Extra Space Storage and spoke with Steve. He was extremely Pleasant to talk to and very quick to help me in my need for space. When I got to the storage facility it was Immaculate. Wonderfully landscaped extremely well kept. The unit itself is very clean not one spot of dirt on the floor! I must admit my experience with the extra space storage on Route 112 in Coram wasnt very very nice experience for me I would highly recommend this is so any to anyone looking to store their belongings in a trustworthy facility exclamation point

I have to say, first off the employee Steven is terrific. He was great at showing me units and helped me throughout the way. I mainly seek storage for 4 months a year to store my vehicle and having 1 month at hlf off without 6 month commitment is terrific for my needs. The place is well lit, clean and honest people. I priced out EVERY place in Suffolk County (again Im storing a car) and this place is the cheapest. Sucks how I have storage facilities 1 mile from my house, but they charge too much. Dont think twice about using this location.

Star Treatments

The problem of what to do with my deceased grandmothers belongings has been a constant stress, but Extra Storage has made it a great deal easier. Clean and safe, we know we can keep her stuff there until decisions are made. Brenda and Steve were amazing and very helpful. The prices were so reasonable, and they were even able to get a drive up unit for the same cost as the upstairs unit. Im relieved that this was so quick and easy and will ease some of the burden of what to do with everything. Thanks guys:-)!!!!

Initial rental they charged me over $1,000 for one month instead of $160 dollars. By accident without any apology. Never received a corrected refund for 4 days to my bank that caused me severe banking problems. They dont have phone numbers to contact their accounts specialist, only email which takes hours for them to respond to problems. They are very secretive. Uncooperative and put on a show as if they are so friendly and easy going. Dont be fooled.

Absolutely outstanding service! Very professional. Steve explained everything in full detail. He & the woman that work there were both so very kind & welcoming. Bob called me very next day after I reserved unit. He was also extremely kind & welcoming. The entire place is immaculate & their prices are great as well! Simply excellent! I highly recommend them! You will not be disappointed! Best storage company ever!

The staff, particularly Steve, were very courteous and professional and answered all the questions I had. Steve took me on a tour to the unit I would be getting to make sure it worked for me. Ive been renting space here for almost a year, and I love it! Youre made to feel super welcome and a part of the extra space storage family! They treat you and your space just how they would want to be treated!!! Brenda and Steve are super friendly and definitely go out of their way to make you feel secure with your choice of renting a unit with them!!! Wouldnt go anywhere else!

Thought Id be in for quite a to-do renting a storage unit. This was a lot easier than I expected and it only took 15 minutes for the whole process. Brenda made it very easy and treated us very well. Breanda and Chris were a pleasure to work with. Steve (site manager) is a bit hard to deal with but he is professional in his approach. They offer a free move in truck for most units you may rent. The team there is a well oiled machine so expect a great experience with attitude. Would definitely recommend!!!!
