Cheaper to rent a unit on the website then go inside. The store wont match an online price and they act pissy when you do buy it online to save over $20 monthly. Then the store wont take your payment over the phone and force you to come in. If you call customer service its $20 to pay with a live agent on the phone. And $10 to pay with an automated system. Extortion. Talk about preying on the poor. Only poor people use storage units generally, and this company is stuck in the 90s charging fees to make a payment? Its obvious they make their money on fees and not on the storage units. Absolutely unacceptable and the staff in the store is constantly talking amongst themselves as well instead of helping customers.

All staff at this location has always been extremely helpful. Kimeu Scott went far beyond typical customer service assistance on the date our daughter needed to retrieve documents from the unit. He walked alongside my car and carried a ladder from the office to the unit. He opened a very rusty, difficult lock; proceeded to move boxes to get the needed items. He did this all while assuring us that "its no problem, its my job". This kind of support is not typical in customer service and we both extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to this young man, Kimeu Scott.

Public Storage is a SCAM. Anyone who comments otherwise will find out. They lure you in with 4 month free, you must purchase insurance that is pricey in relation to what you get. The units are month to month which means they can jack up the price anytime. After 4 months in a unit, my bill increased by 15%. I was given 2 days notice and they only inform you through the postal service. Oh I forgot to mention, they do not have any cameras. Good luck!

I have been with Public Storage in East Hartford for a couple of years and have multiple units. I have always had a positive experience there. The manager, Joe, and assistant manager, Christina, are always a big help when I need it. Each time I have occupied a new unit, it is always clean and ready to move in. Joe and Christina make it an easy and pleasant experience.

Can only speak about the indoor units on second floor: climate controlled and clean Unfortunately, only about 4 carts for transporting items, but this is not always a problem. Access is usually locked, but once in a while the gate will be open for anyone to enter/exit as they please w/out a code. Nice, friendly and attentive staff. No true complaints

They were phenomenal! They offered the perfect size fit for all my stuff. They offered excellent price and everything was all set when I arrived. If I ever need to store my items, I would definitely come back here. I moved in 22 days ago and best part is contract free ;-)
