These guys destroyed a $1,000 wheel, and then tried to lie about it! Last week (21-Feb-17) I took a wheel in to have two *small* rim dents repaired. I was repeatedly assured that I would *not* have to remove the bearings. It would have been easy to do so if necessary (I am my own mechanic – it would have been 5 min of work), but I was told it was unnecessary to fix the rim. The next day, when I called to check on the work, Danny told me that someone made a "mistake" and the bearings were damaged. Not a big deal, but I wanted to see for myself what happened. They damaged WAY more than the bearings! Whomever worked on this wheel tried to bash out the bearings without removing the circlip! They shattered the hub of the wheel which holds the bearings, and put deep gouges in the press-fit surface, rendering it UNSAFE for use! I showed them exactly what I saw. They conceded that the damage was caused by their staff. I asked what they intended to do about it. They assured me that they would fix it, and replace the bearings. NEITHER OF THOSE THINGS HAPPENED! I was told the repairs would take another day. I *specifically* told them to NOT put the new bearings in because I wanted to see the repair for myself. When I arrived to pick up the wheel, the bearings had already been installed. Before I left, I inspected the "new" bearings, and pointed out to Sean that one of them was clearly broken (big notchiness when turned – obviously useless). When I got the wheel back to my shop, I pulled the "new" bearings to examine the hub. It was UNFIXED in any way! They didnt do a thing to repair it. The only thing they did was to try to cover up the damage by putting back BROKEN bearings. If I wasnt skilled enough to understand and identify the damage, this work could have killed someone!! "Repair On Wheels" should be ashamed. I would advise everybody to LOOK ELSEWHERE. These guys are unscrupulous crooks.

I had a bad experience with this shop. I brought in my car because my car was due to pass inspection. They found a long list of fixes that my car needed (when in fact my car was serviced a couple month prior at another garage). It felt very much like a hit job. Additionaly, when I came to pick up my car I found that they did more work that I never approved or eas told is going to happen. The owner ended up taking off that specific charge. Lastly, after leaving their shop, I noticed new problems I did not have before. The front tire/break started squicking loudly at every stop and my cars AC no longer works. The AC worked perfectly before I brought it in..... when I spoke to them about it, they were rude and claimed that I dont know what I am talking about...... of course I cant prove that the caused it but as the owner of my car, I do know what worked before and what doesnt work now. If you must use this shop, be very careful. They are not to be trusted and are very rude if you dare challenge them. The owner leaves replies as though he cares and will do what it takes to fix it but he is lying. He made no such attempt and in fact when I brought up the issues with them, they were very rude and acted as though I didnt know what I was talking about. FACT IS my AC in the car worked great before I brought it in. It broke after they serviced it. That is a FACT. It would be a strange coincidence....... STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. They are not to be trusted!!!

Its truly hard to find a reliable non sleezy car repair shop that values service and product above all. So when I found Repair on Wheels with my first lease, I knew my cars would be in good hands. My gut was right. Russel (the owner) and his right hand man Alex are true to god honest humans. Ive yet to see a company like this where everyone is so friendly and cheerful and literally remember every face that walks through the door. If you come here once, you know youve joined the family. Im on my second lease already and you know living in Brooklyn your car doesnt really stand a chance like cars in the suburbs. We get hit, scratched, breaks get shot etc. Ive been coming here for tire rotations, oil changes, battery and break replacements and more. I know crap about cars but theyre always so honest with pricing, timing and the best products for the car. I truly never have to worry if Im being ripped off like Ive seen by some of my friends. The really great thing about Repair on Wheels is that theyre open 24 hours except Saturday (they close for Sabbath but reopen at Sundown). I know Im gushing about them as if theyre a fancy restaurant but honestly, theyre the fancy restaurant version of car repair shops. So if you ever have an issue with a car, I definitely recommend the guys here.

I had a slow leak and needed a flat fix shop. By chance I came across Repairs on wheels and am now a new and enthusiastic customer!! As I pulled the car in, I mentioned that I was having ABS lights coming on and if possible could they check it out. They fixed the flat immediately and after hooking up the computer for diagnostics they realized the problem had been a sensor indicating the under inflated tire. Once they reset the computer and fixed the flat, the problem was solved. They charged me $10 for the flat fix and $25 for the computer diagnostic. I am sure many other places would have tried to tell me I needed a new sensor or some other dishonest exploit... Not only did they fix my problem immediately, were completely honest and charged a very reasonable fee, but they were also very friendly and a pleasure to work with. And I had a very fun conversation with another customer who has been going there for 20 years and had nothing but fantastic things to say about them. What could have been a long and expensive trip to other mechanics was a very quick, cheap and surprisingly enjoyable visit as the employees and other customers were a pleasure to talk to and it really had the feel of a neighborhood business. I will be taking my car there from now on for everything.

Me and my husband brought our car to this auto repair shop. After being told by a mechanic on Beach channel dr it was the altenator. Me and my husband brought our car in to have this repair shop to replace it. I think it was fate because the nice mechanic says well its not your altenator. The gentleman offered to replace the altenator for 200 dollars. But he said is not the altenator but I will still fix whatever the problem is for 200 dollars. He was willing to take a lose to help us. Thank God it was something minor, and he said it is only 95 dollars and your done. Amazing finally a mechanic that actually cares about his customers and knows what he is doing. He could have still charged us 200 dollars and me and my husband would have not even known better, but he didnt. This shop is nice, fair, and honest our car is working great and it didnt cost 580 dollars that the other mechanic in rockaway park who said we needed an altenator. I recommend this shop to everyone. Thank you guys you are officially our mechanic.
