DO NOT GO HERE! Ill tell you why - I first brought my 2007 BWM in for service around May. Turns out I had a transmission fluid leak. Cost me $1,200 to fix. Seemed pretty pricey but they had me replace a lot of stuff in the process. The NEXT day my car wouldnt start. I had to have it towed and brought it right back in. Now its the Starter, bam another $800. Okay whatever, please fix it. I didnt have time to look for another place. I get a letter(not a postcard but an actual letter) from the owner a month or 2 later saying that Ill get 10% off my next job, and all I had to do was "mention" or bring the letter in. I received a postcard also but that postcard was 10% off a specific service. I brought the car in September for an oil change, so no need to redeem the discount then. I got a check engine light last week and the car was running very poorly, so against my better judgement I bring it in again. There was a cylinder malfunction, so they say I had to replace all the plugs, all the coils, a sensor for shifting, software update, and other miscellaneous parts, plus labor was $2,000. Okay, please fix it. Now heres what I didnt like. I try to redeem the discount and ALAN says NO...for 2 reasons...1) mentioning the letter isnt enough, and 2) he already discounted the "diagnostic test" which is like $140 or so. Okay...the labor was $900. I dont care what you "supposedly" discounted in advance; thats not how a discount works. For all I know you just added that diagnostic cost into the labor and made it seem like you did me a favor. The 10% is off what youre charging me; you cant say sorry that doesnt apply because I already discounted you. I gave them the benefit of the doubt before with the starter issue, but this right here is all I needed to know how grimy these dudes are. Most mechanics are shady, and Im sure I could have done worse, but let my experience be a warning *FIND ANOTHER SHOP* Heres the grand finale - On this last service(after the job was finished) the notes said that I had a lift sensor and valvetronic sensor that was making a noise upon start up. I ask Alan, uh oh how much that does that thing cost?...he says $600. You guessed it...my check engine light is on AGAIN, not even a week later. Screw this place. *In response to the owners reply - NO! You have a couple of other 1 star reviews in the past year, so stop right there. I got this car in January and had no issues with the starter until the day after I left your shop for the transmission fluid change, which was in May...weird coincidence right? And now again another issue arises right after I leave. Yes, I took the car to a repair shop right where I live before going to you again for this most recent issue. They looked at it for maybe 15 minutes and honestly told me they would rather not work on it, and I should bring it to a specialist(which I was honest about and told Alan). I took it to you guys so I could redeem the discount. The letter said just to "mention" it, and you chose not to honor it. I should have known that was going to happen though, because obviously you dont practice business ethically. I found a place in Borough Park that I wish I looked into originally.

Found shop on internet very good reviews.Work schedule makes it impossible to drop off or pick up during normal business hours. I needed a shop that could fix issues with check engine light and be able to pass NY emissions. No shop can guarantee you will pass inspection. I have some advice as to CEL problems. You can go to AutoZone get the clerk behind the counter to read your computer and then tell you its this that and maybe this give him a tip and leave thinking you now know the problem.Or you can go to the garage you always go to and have them tell you straight out it is this replace parts and still have your CEL come on after you leave the shop. You need to drive the vehicle 50 miles or more, and when you bring it back they say" this is another code not the one we fixed". You can go to a Check Engine Shop. Pay $100-150 just to check and recommend repairs, or you can go to this shop and get your vehicle diagnosed and fixed so you can get back to your life. Their base diagnostic charge may seem high but they get it right.I was at that Check Engine Shop.Twice and they couldnt even explain what the issue was.My vehicle was a 2004 Passat 4 motion with 88,000 miles. The total bill was around $1800 with over $900 in parts , $290 for diagnostic test including a smoke test to check vacuum, the right way to see leaks.Did I think it would cost that much? No but Parts for foreign cars are higher than domestic. I have been driving the vehicle and it runs great. They clued me in on what to expect in the future with this wagon. If I had gone here in the first place I would have not wasted $600 and hours of my time.Sorry for the long review but the moral of my story is go to this shop first...

I know that I continually write the same things but when you find something that is great you have to let everyone know. Bay Diagnostics is the place to take your car if your having problems. The work is professionally done, the quality of the work is top notch and most of all Jordan and Alan truly care and take the time to let you know whats going on. No bull crap, direct to the point and they let you what they need to do to make sure your car is back in running condition and you walk out knowing that they looked at everything so there are no surprises. Jordan and Alan are wonderful people that go out of their way for you. A big thank you to Jordan because I know the shop opens at 8am but hes there early so he always allows me to put the car in the shop and leave the keys so I can make it to work by 7am. Very accommodating, family people who care and do incredible work. My sincere thanks to Bay Diagnostics, Alan, Jordan thank you so much. A shop like yours with people like you are hard to find. This is the best auto repair center your going to find. All my best Bill Rosenblum

I researched every Range Rover certified mechanic around The Tri-state area and found Bay Diagnostic on Gravesend Neck which is a magically quiet and safe area. I took my 2017 Diesel Range Rover Limited Edition to Jordan and the boys. I was delightfully surprised to find that they took the time to want talk to me and care about me as a person! That went a long way. Im a 26 year retired Marine Sergeant Major and I am certainly accustomed to professionalism. You have to bring your domestic or exotic here at least once. The shop is operating room clean (Spotless)and Igor my mechanic was Masterful on working on even the most brand new full sized RR model, and a Diesel even!! Did I mention I saved 20 dollars over the closest competitor that still beat the dealership by over 130 dollars??? Im about to call in and order the trailer hitch package instead of going to the dealer and Ill review that as well! Thanks Jordan and Bay Diagnostic youre family now! Good motoring!!!
