Well,actually, I wanted to put one star. I used this place before and it was great. But now it is a mess. My tire was leaking and I made an appointment remembering how many times they saved me time and money before. There were two guys at reception,one of them took my keys, while swallowing coleslaw and talking to me at the same time. He told me it will take 10 minutes, so I asked, if they can do tire rotation after they fix air leak. I estimated it would take about 40 minutes and went for a stroll, the shop is located in prettiest downtown area. When I came back, I was informed that the car was just taken in. I said that it has been almost an hour and they would need to expedite their work, because I have to be at work at 1pm. The reception guy just went in garage and commanded to put my tire back on without any repairs. I told him that I am extremely dissatisfied, they wasted two hours of my work time and did not do a thing, and I will make sure to write a review. The guy did not care, he did not even apologize, replied:"go ahead" in a very arrogant way. So I am going ahead and putting this review in. Before there was just one gentleman working at reception, very courteous and caring and the work was done on time and it was done properly. There are still good mechanics in the shop. The one which worked on my car came out, told me what might be a problem with my tire and apologized, explaining that he had to work on other car. Resume: if you do not care about timeliness and enjoy arrogant treatment, there is still possibility that the work will be done properly, but seeing how reception faces changed, I would not bet on it.

Ive been taking my cars to this Cleve Hill Tire Location for over ten years now and have received fair quotes and unbelievable customer service. There are many car repair places to choose from and an estimate at one might be higher than another - fact is you need to go with the shop that provides higher quality service. Like getting work done at a dentist, serious car repair will hurt you no matter where you go. You want to choose the place that will charge you half of what everyone else is charging? You want that dentist working out of his backyard? You want a well known, reputable professional providing high quality care - in this case, for your car. What if something goes wrong? I had one issue with Cleve Hill putting wrong tires on my car last year. I called Cleve Hill and they fixed it - gave me a new set of tires. I also had a dentist shoot me with Novocaine in a nerve ending last year - these things happen, but both companies came through and fixed their mistake. Cleve Hill provided me with high quality service every time I took my car in.

This location is in walking distance from my apartment, there has been several times. like this past week when my plans were interrupted with a tire going flat. I dropped the car off(without an appointment) walked home, and as they promised within 2 hrs, my repair was done and since I had purchased tires at the store there was no charge. What a blessing, the customer service is always exceptional I am grateful to have a wonderful place like this in the city. The workers have also replaced broken windshield wipers in the winter on the spot. Thank you !!!

Rob was managing the front desk and it was a great experience. I went there for a slow leak in my tire and they solved that no problem. They also noticed some problem with my tie-rod and I was able to call my car company and get it covered under warranty. When I initially called on a Saturday morning Rob was able to get me an appointment within an hour, and I was in and out of the shop in under a half hour. As a busy person I greatly appreciate their hassle free service. They definitely made my life easier. Thank you Rob!

A friend told me about them and I found these guys quite helpful & honest. A parts store had scanned my check engine light for free and told me I needed a new catalytic converter. I took it to CleveHill to get a price for my exhaust, they explained to me that yes that is what the "code" said, but in order to find out why it came on.. they would need to do a diagnostic. So I agreed, they said I had a bad ignition coil and a fouled oxygen sensor.. 2 months later.. still no light and saved me Hundreds! I cant thank them enough!

They were courteous. Thats all I can say. I needed them in a pinch to look at a slow tire leak. My valve stem was broken on my good tire which they stored under the truck and the lug nuts on the spare were left loose enough that my truck started to wobble and make a loud noise travelling on the 219. No wonder there was no charge for their services that day. I called to just let them know what happened and I was in their computer for an oil change, which was not why I was there. 1st and last time customer.

They tried to take advantage of me I am still having problems with my car because of there so called work. I paid $457 for front brake they still squeak I brought my car in they claim they could find nothing wrong and now my tires are wearing unevenly. They wanted me to get 2800 dollar of work done and would not pass my car for inspection which passed when I took it elsewhere. I also feel like they did something to mis aline my tires so I will never take my car back there again

Terrible shop! Give these folks an inch and theyll take a yard, with that I mean theyll take every opportunity to take advantage of you. Took my car in for a radiator replacement and 5 days later it overheats and combusts on the NY state thruway! Theyre non-attentive to customers and its pretty obvious that they want to get cars in and out quickly even if the work is mediocre. Avoid this shop, I highly recommend K&A Auto Repair. Youll thank me later.

My brakes failed on Best St. and I managed to cruise into Cleve-Hill Auto around 5:20PM on a friday, sweating and terrified, nearly crashing into the building itself! They had it done by monday afternoon, no issues, no trouble, and I was immensely happy with their work, cleanliness, and their professionalism. Even shared a laugh about my waiting until the VERY last minute! Thanks!

Went in to get two tires mounted, work was performed in about 2 hours as I was told. They offered me extra services for a dented oil pan and struts, I politely declined and they werent pushy about it. They also educated me about mounting the tires which I was naive about. All in all pretty standard service, new tires look good! Will have to see how they perform in the weather !

My car wouldnt start although I had lights on. I had tried to jump it to no avail. I had it towed here and was expecting an expensive repair (alternator? starter?) and instead was told it was just a battery. They got me a new one and on my way in no time. It is great to have an honest repair garage in the neighborhood and I would recommend them to anyone.
