- Experienced Care-Not, Non Responsive attitude multiple times. Very Little effort to help customers with their needs Ive been using Precision Tune services since ~6yrs. This particular branch i had frequent problems with their customer service recently. I find them, "Get it done on our terms or leave" attitude. Especially, This visit wasnt upto their mark. I had an 8 oclock appointment. I was late to my appointment by ~15 mins. spent ~10 more minutes waiting in the queue for my turn and picking oil, service (conventional / synthetic). I had my ticket in at 8:23am. Receptionist told me the wait time is 45 mins to an hour. I told her, I had a hard stop at 9:30. She said okay. At 9:15, I go up to the desk to ask, is it done yet. She says again, itll take an hour without any hesitation or accountability. I dont understand when was an hour wait time turned into 2 hours. When i said, I cant wait that long. I had to go. She simply gave my keys back to leave without trying to ask if she can expedite it or gimme a different wait time. Im trying to rush to my 10 0clock meeting. This location is under remodelling, so, A mini crane was parked on back of my car and i couldnt get any help from the store to get my car out though they noticed the situation. By the time, I got out, a PT guy came by to ask is everything okay? i replied no and explained the situation. He goes, You shouldve come to the appointment at 8 oclock. Without even admitting their mistake on estimate wait time. When i asked about the delay, he then responds saying we dont have staff.. The whole experience was rough. I have reservations going back there. I might wont be able to.

I have been coming here for a decade for regular oil changes. I have always appreciated BJs honesty and location was also a factor in me coming here. Not sure if it is the new store manager but this place is the absolute worst now. I wanted a simple oil change so I dropped my car off at lunch and went to pick it up after work at 5. No one had touched the car because they could not figure out how to turn it on. it would probably be a good idea to try the actual key to the car to start the car. I spent an extra hour waiting because of pure stupidity by a technician. Afterwards I drove home and the check engine light came on. By the time I got home the hood was smoking a bit. Popped the hood to not only see oil splashed all over my motor but a broken coolant outlet. I got the car towed back to the shop the next morning and they denied any wrongdoing when the car had absolutely 0 problems before the oil change. They then proceed to say it was a specialty part from the deal er and it would cost more than $500 to fix. The part is $37 at a local auto store. So not only did this store incompetently carry out a simple oil change that led to my check engine light turning on, motor issues, and work inconvenience but they then proceeded to try to charge me a ridiculous price for the repair for it. Absolutely the worst customer service I have seen and I come away extremely upset after being a customer here for over a decade and referring plenty of people to this location. I am done with this location and plan to warn anyone who is thinking about come here after this fiasco.

I have been a customer for a few months now. I have spent about $2500 at this place in the past 2 months. I do understand that I drive an old vehicle and I have had some repairs with major costs. I also have realized that the shop maybe trying to capitalize on that and tack on additional costs. I took my car in this weekend (8/14) since my brake light was on. Apparently, most times that happens is when the brake switch behind the pedal is worn out. It took the shop retaining my car overnight with ominous comments about not being able to identify the issue and a $95 electrical diagnosis for a $2 part replacement to figure something very basic out. Not to mention the add-on fix that they always throw in there...this time it was an oil leak for $100+. When I went to pay my bill, I was at first given the receipt in a folder with coupons. The minute I handed her my Precision Tune punch card (every 5th oil change being free), the front desk lady quickly snatched the coupon booklet back to give me just my receipt. I just feel like she rips me off every time! I am not going back. *Update 8/20: Turns out after my repairs, my wiper blades quit working. I had to my 100+ mile commute to work on a rainy week like that. I just could not leave work early again to get it fixed right away. So after being turned by other mechanic shops closer to work (owing to them being full), I had a maintenance guy at work take a look. Turns out the fuse for the wipers was missing! Plain careless or intentional?

CUSTOMER SUPPORT / SERVICE IS GREAT!!! I have been going to Precision Tune in Cary for the past three years working with Manager B.J. Stahl and her team members: First for a tuneup with brakes repair to follow. I routinely have maintenance there: oil changed, tires rotated, and fluids topped off. Customer Service / Support is OUTSTANDING! Recently, B.J. discussed the cabin air filter. No one had ever mentioned this to me. I have allergies. I opted to replace it (the filter was full of dirt and leaves) and believe it is making a difference with my allergies. I appreciate the initiative to make me aware of the cabin air filter situation. Recently, I had been told (by auto store when I was attempting to buy headlight to replace non-working headlight) I had problem with corrosion in headlights wiring. I took the problem to Precision Tune in Cary. B .J. and staff checked and found no corrosion - but, lights were simply loose. They tightened the connection quickly. They could have told me I needed costly wiring repairs, etc. On more than one occasion, I have asked if I needed a repair/maintenance and have been told the repair/maintenance is not needed at the time. I believe I can trust B.J. and her staff to continue to keep my car running efficiently and to expand its life.

All I can say is, "Wow!" With the temperatures this summer AVERAGING in the mid 90s, having our A/C die on us was just awful, and with two small children, a safety issue for me as a mom. Precision Autos staff 1st tried recharging our system, but a week later we were back to sweating it out. My husband checked with the dealership who quoted us $910 to fix the problem, and then a local mechanic who told us our entire system needed to be replaced and quoted us $1,200!! Pleased with the superb customer service we received the 1st time, we went back to Precision who quoted us $700 and did the job for $600 - EVEN spending extra time correcting an issue our old mechanic had us buy additional parts for, which as it turns out, it didnt even need. They returned the unnecessary parts, and will have us as returning customers from here on out. In a field where the uneducated car owner can get completely ripped off, the folks at Precision went out of their way to fix our vehicle without gouging us for unnecessary parts and labor. Couldnt have had a more different experience than the customers claiming a pushy sales pitch or slow service. The honesty and professionalism cant be beat. B.J. & staff - THANK YOU!!!
