BEWARE!!! Even though the staff was knowledgeable and extremely friendly, I was given my estimate and the "supposing" Owner, Joseph W. decided that his service writer wasnt charging me enough and went into my account and uped the price on my parts for my Honda. When she went to print off my paperwork to have me sign it, she looked perplexed and I asked her what was wrong, she stated that someone else was looking at my estimate and until they got out of it she couldnt get back in it, she said this is a good feature because nobody is able to change things while writing up the estimate and it protects parts and other factors. Well she picked up the phone in the back office and Im assuming called where the owner hides out and asked him if he was in the estimate, she tried to be discreet but I overheard her state the he was in the estimate and didnt understand why he marked up the price when she already sold the job. She came out of the office and apologized and asked for a minute to redo some things, when I asked her about the conversation she tried to explain that the owner was just checking over the estimates in the system and he "accidentally" changed something and she needed to fix it!! I know she was just trying to save herself any embarrassment because of what CROOK the owner is but, I was taken back by how he put her in a very bad position! When I returned home I called a few parts places in the area and figured out that this owner marks up his prices almost x3 and then has his staff look like the bad guys!! Its people like this that dont deserve to stay in business and will bring the "Meineke" name down, Ive done some investigating and these owners are CROOKS! Ive called the office in Charlotte which is the corporate office Ive been told and faxed my estimates and complaints to them for further review! PLEASE, stay away from this certain location unless you want to throw your money away!!!! Theres another Meineke in Surfside that has now opened and the owner there will beat all pricing from this location in Murrells Inlet (which isnt hard to do because hes at least honest) and has techs that are certified!! Save yourself the abuse and spending x3 the amount of money, I feel sorry for the staff there because they seemed really honest and caring but just got trapped working for CROOKS!!!

Stay away from this place! My car broke down a week ago so we had it towed to the closest place possible, which unlucky enough happened to be this meineke. They informed me of where the trouble was coming from and told me that they have a way to fix it for cheaper than having to purchase a full new part. Thats awesome, I mean who doesnt like saving a few bucks. Well, a week later I picked it up, paid for the fix and drove off happy. A week after that it broke down in the middle of the road, with the exact same issue. So yet again I got it towed back to meineke. It was after hours so I didnt expect to talk to anyone but as it just so happened, the owners bookkeeper Kathy came out. I explained the situation to her and was told by her that they will cover the tow expense, which ofcourse they are liable for since it was their faulty work. They kept the car three more days and called to say it was ready. When I got there to pick it up they informed me that the piece they put in had come loose and told me that they fixed it all up and that this time it is tight and everything will be running good. PERFECT, right? No, then the guy takes me inside and tells me that they will not pay for the tow. I ask to speak to the manager and waited. The manager never came down but the bill got larger. From the time I was waiting it went from paying the tow bill to now paying both the tow and for the additional work they did to fix their own issue. When trying, as calmly as possible, to reason with them I was yelled at and spoken to very rudely and condescendingly by their employee named Dave. So that is how this bussiness is run, very unproffessional, very dishonest, does not cover their own mistakes and all run but an owner who does not have the descensy to talk to you himself. Lets just see how long this fix will last, all I know is I will not see them again, not until its infront of a magistrate.

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!! I have been going to this location for the past year and every visit is a pleasant one. Gerry and Allen provide awesome customer service. Never have I gone to an auto shop where they explain in full detail what is wrong with my vehicle and the bill. There have been some issues with my car that are not safety issues and that dont necessarily have to be fixed right away and they NEVER force me to do them anyways. Most shops will just give you and laundry list of things wrong with your vehicle and tell you it needs to be done now! Not here. Im a young female that works pay check to pay check and dont usually have an extra $500 or more to spend on car repairs. Gerry is great with his customers, takes time for each and everyone one of them and treats everyone fairly. I have sent friends to this location and they have been very pleased with their service as well. They are quick and efficient. Regardless of where you live, if you can make it to this location, its well worth the trip!!!

These days it has become very difficult to find good, honest, and quality car care. I got lucky when I happened to call Joe Allen at his Meineke Car Care Center Murrells Inlet location. I had been to other auto repair shops looking or a reasonable estimate on having my entire exhaust system from y pipe to the tail pipe replaced..The estimate I got was very fair. Far better than I got elsewhere. The best experience was the honesty of Joe and all the guys that worked for him. They didnt try to sell anything I didnt need..They were all very friendly and respectful.. Bottom line was the quality of the work. I have decided that I will have all of my autos service work at Joes Meineke Car Care Center. I have already have made an appointment for a regular service work Dec. 4th. I have taken my car to this Meineke location for 5 years and have always been pleased with the service, courtesy, and care. As a single female with a car that I have had for 16 years, I am completely satisfied with the recommendations and treatment Joe and his staff give me. If there is an issue, the staff sits down and explains all the options that I have with prices fully explained. Not only is the staff welcoming and informed, but the waiting area is comfortable, clean, and friendly with fresh coffee, ample reading material, TV, and wireless network availability. Transportation to my home is also available as an option to my waiting during the service time. My car is in mint condition, and I hope with Meineke’s continual good care that it will make it to the 20 year mark!
