Horrible. My business opens at 11 am. I got to work at 10:55 am on Wednesday 8.17.16. My mail man saw me pull up and waved to me, he then proceeded to start on my block. The mail man never stopped at my shop even though I was open. I figured my package was late. I go online to check, and I see the package was attempted Delivery at 10:51 am. 4 minutes BEFORE my mail man was even on my block. I tried calling the Cornwall Post Office, and they must have taken the phone off the hook because I was getting a busy signal for 2 hours. I finally send a family member to the Cornwall Post Office to pick up the package for me. There were two female post office employees who were Nasty, Rude, and started a huge fight with my family member in the post office. They said the package wasnt back yet, and our original mail man has been out since May of 2016. Yeah, I opened my shop in June, so that makes what sense? Finally after my family member argued back with them, one of the postal workers goes in the back and magically comes out with my package, and with a nasty attitude says "Have a Nice Day." Im a local business, and this is how these local post office officials treat us? No wonder why Cornwall has multiple businesss failing each year. This post office would get 0 stars if I could rate negative stars. I never have had an issue with the New Windsor post office, extremely nice and positive people working there. In closing, I would like to say that the post office is vital to ALL businesss no matter who or where you are located. They need to hire people who are positive and are willing to work with the community and its customers. Negativity is only going to drive everyone away. Perry K.

One star because you cant leave ZERO. I am relieved to see that I am not the only one who has had such miserable experience in this branch. I have been shouted at by one of the clerks, I wrote a letter with a complaint about some service and it turned out to be the postmistress herself, (who I believe has either moved on or been moved, thank goodness) She very sternly told me, "Were not open to the public!" over and OVer and OVER when I called at the side door to ask about a package. They held onto a parcel and said they "couldnt locate it" and then a new person just happened to be on when I asked again, and it WAS RIGHT THERE. Oh, and the latest, this week, a letter was returned to my cousin with "no mail receptacle" stamped on it. IT WAS MAILED TO MY POST BOX!! Prior to this miserable bunch it was always a pleasure to deal with this P.O. You think they would appreciate a job, a pension, health care, and air-conditioning. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.

Unfortunately you cant give them less. Ive lived in Cornwall 26 years. The last 5 years of dealing with the uncaring rude personnel in this post office is really shameful. If you dont like dealing with the public you should work elsewhere. Garbage cans are taken away any time they want and the response when asked where they are is unapologetic and as if your a child who is being punished. They lost my mail with a very important document that I had to pay $500 to retrieve and they told me it was my fault. Not sure how since it was never in my PO Box. Ive tried to file a complaint and the wait for that is always over an hour. Very frustrating.

Most carriers are pleasant but calling the office is not a pleasant customer service experience.
