A heavy snow storm last week delayed delivery of a order from Amazon Prime. A call to Amazon informed me my package was located at the Farmingdale, NY UPS Customer Center, and that UPS guaranteed delivery some time within the next three business days. UPS marked my package as "out for delivery" each of those days, but failed to attempt delivery of the package. They left no salmon-colored slip saying there had been an attempted delivery, and there was no sign of a truck in the evenings when I was home to watch for one. Yesterday (5 days after the expected delivery date), I called Amazon, who contacted UPS--they said the package was on a truck and would be delivered by 8pm, but when one of their trucks passed my house, the driver yet again failed to attempt delivery. I called UPS directly and they said they could not contact the driver, nor would they put my package on a truck the following day because their system said they had attempted delivery three times. I informed them either their system was incorrect or a driver falsely reported attempted deliveries because I had no evidence of such attempts. The customer service representative contacted the Farmingdale Customer Center, who said they would not send the driver back, but would hold the package for 5 business days, during which I could come between the hours of 8:30am and 6pm to pick it up. After that, it would be returned to Amazon and I would need to work through Amazon to resolve the issue. They also refused my request to override the no-deliveries-after-the-third-attempt-rule. I was told I could not come on any weekend day to get the package. So, the delivery service that failed to attempt delivery of a product with which Amazon timely supplied to them, is making me go out of my way, not to mention the need to leave work early and fight Long Island traffic for the more than hour it will take to get from work to the center, to pick up a package they just didnt feel like delivering or working with their customer to resolve any issues. Unfortunately, anyone requiring their services for such deliveries likely has little choice in the matter, and thus reviews such as these only serve to stir anger among potential customers. I only hope someone at UPS reads this and uses the feedback to improve their customer relations, delivery protocols, or whatever other dysfunctions exist within this center or UPS as an entity. I do find solace in the humor of knowing somewhere, in some recording held by UPS or one of its subsidiaries for "quality assurance or training purposes," they can hear my say "Welp, f**k it I guess, thank you bye," before abruptly ending the call.

I ordered an Apple Mac Book Pro laptop for my son for Christmas ($1400). On 12/22 UPS claimed to have brought the package to my house. However, I needed to be home to sign for the package. When I called on 12/22 UPS said they would return on 12/23 with the package. On 12/23, I stayed home from work ALL DAY and they NEVER came. So, I called again and was advised that they would return on 12/24 with my package. On 12/24 they claimed my package was "locked away" and "could not be accessed for delivery, because it was in a secure container," they GUARANTEED that I would receive my package on 12/27. Well, on December 27th, 2016 the package NEVER came. I called AGAIN, on the 27th twice and they told me they "cannot locate my package." I was advised by a Supervisor Nikki that my package was checked into their building on December 22nd, but they couldnt locate it (and it was never scanned to be re-delivered). Another Supervisor Sharisse, called me and said I should call the Company that I ordered the Mac Book from and tell them to send me a replacement. It seems to me that UPS Employees to do this all the time. Many friends and neighbors have also complained of the same issue. This is horrible and needs to be addressed. The Federal Government needs to investigate this Farmingdale facility. SOMEONE AT UPS STOLE MY SONS CHRISTMAS GIFT.

Dear Arthur D. I doubt youll read this but in case you do, ups packages are marked 3 different ways, driver-release signature, driver-release no-signature and shippers release. Drivers release signature: requires a signature and the driver can not leave the package without it being signed for. Drivers release no signature: allows for a package to be left at residence upon delivery but has to be out of bad weather conditions and out of view of the street, specific drop off location can be added to delivery instructions. And finally shippers release is an ok from the shipper for ups to leave the package without being signed for but it must also be out of weather and view from the street. I hope you find this information helpful if you do ever consider using United Parcel Service again. Thank you

do they ever answer their phone? and when they do answer i can never get the location I need to talk with. Their customer service people are good with lipservice, but thats about it. Had my client not had a contract with UPS I would have used USPS or paid thru the nose for FedEx knowing that my delivery would get to me on time! Im about to loose a $2500 sponsorship because UPS lied about their delivery schedule. They promised me AM delivery..its now almost 1pm and if I dont get the package to where it need to be by 2pm I am screwed! Thank you UPS!

I ordered a hot plate from Kohls, and I didnt think it required a signature. I work the night shift, and as UPS delivers to my house from 6pm - 7pm I missed the delivery due to my job. I really felt bad for the driver making two trips to my house, and nobody was home. I went to the UPS Customer Center, and what a helpful gentleman I had help me at customer service. He has both a beautiful personality, and smile while doing his job. I love UPS and their Customer Center. AWESOME!!!

Absolute worst customer service, driver claimed I had an incorrect address on multiple packages out for delivery because it was the day before the 4th of July and he wanted a long holiday. It was literally being delivered to my box at a ups store, and the ups driver couldnt find it? Suspicious. I had to call customer service to set up a redelivery, they were completely inept and unhelpful on the phone. Guaranteed 2 day shipping was a waste of money, thanks you lazy pos

Worst service ever. They are holding my package for no particular reason, I was supposed to receive my package on 11.30.2015 and we have 12.01.2015. IT IS A VERY IMPORTANT PACKAGE, I checked online the status and it says that they left my package behind. Who hired those people that work there? No education what so ever, morons, they just think that they can leave my package behind just because they feel like it? I hope that person gets fired who left my package behind

Made a delivery "appointment" that was anytime between 9am and 5pm. WTF? And then after staying home all day, they never showed up. When I called the following day (a Saturday), the ENTIRE COMPANY is closed for the weekend and NO ONE can help me. And its a holiday weekend so my URGENT delivery will be MIA until Tuesday -- for a CONFIRMED delivery that was due the previous Friday. No wonder they are on the verge of bankruptcy . What a bunch of clowns.
