The Farmingdale Post Office, on Main St., by the Fire House is filled with A bunch of Yapping Nosy Bodies on a Delusional Power Trip. Relax, you work at a POST OFFICE! - Way too much chatter. In addition, they make fun of & talk about Customers too & right in front of them (like they dont know) Are you kidding me? Get a clue & some Class. Every time Ive been here, all they do is yap away. Shut up! So sick of having to make Small Talk with everyone, let alone the People who work at the Post Office. It would make the Line go a whole lot faster, by the way. Do you honestly think we want to stand on line & listen to your conversations with other people any longer than we have to, and then talk to you? No. Do your stinking Job, get over yourselves & shut the hell up - Annoying, irritating FOOLS. Also, theres a ridiculously weird Mail Delivery Man who walks around yelling at the person inside his ear piece (phone). Hes a NUT JOB. Overall, they all suck.

Package lost. No wonder why US Postal serv is in a bad way!. Postmaster at Farmingdale claims my package was put on wrong route. He claims they left a notice for me to retrieve my package. Why would they have left a notice instead of delivering the small package? In any case, there was never a notice left. Did not know package was MIA until I contacted shipper. I was told it cant be found and to consider it missing. Postmaster claims I should go back to shipper and have them send another?? Amazing, as if its the shippwers problem now! He acted indifferent and seemed he could care less. Not responsible for anything so he doesnt need to care. I was about to bring USPS into my shipping business. I will be telling the rep there is no way I will do business with this type incompetant work ethic. Additionally, I will avoid like the plague any seller or business that ships USPS. Just one more poorly run, fiscally irresponsible, government function.

First off I frequent this post office at least a couple of days a week its in my town as well as other post offices like jericho 11753 and Hicksville 11801 ! This Clerk # 05 is the rudest slowest laziest other workers are always paging him hes always in The back fussing around or unavailable when theyre are working their butts off out front. Very condenscending and unfriendly. Asks me in front of other patrons whats in the package ! Never brought up the screen that says anything hazzardous , flamable or perishable press no/yes. ButThen Proceeds to ask me in front of everyone whats in the package ! What the Hell ! Ive seen him with other customers in the past same thing talks and treats customers like garbage like hes doing us all a favor and its free ! Disgusted with this chap !!! I will avoid him like the plague! By the way he is the one all the way on the left when facing the counter real piece of work !

The staff at the front were extremely rude and un-courteous. The woman who helped me only spoke after I asked for two items and it was in a harsh manner; otherwise she was mute and barely gave eye contact. She took my receipt and slammed it down and walked away. I said have a nice day prior to her getting out of her seat and she did not respond. This is not the first time Ive experienced this type of behavior from this USPS locations employees. It takes nothing to smile or to be nice. Many of us work, probably harder than those women and we still manage to treat others kindly. If I didnt HAVE to utilize a post office I would never ever return.

I never used this USPS site but I was on my way to an appointment in Farmingdale so I walked in to have a letter postmarked because the due date of a payment I had to make was in 4 days. Now, almost 2 weeks past the due date, the payment still hasnt cleared the bank. I called at the suggestion of the bank and was met with a friendly assistor - despite having to be at work in this blizzard - who clamed my fears the payment may be lost and now late but at least the reasoning made sense and I feel better. Thank you!!! P.S. Something this important should have a return receipt and I should have taken the time to get that done.

I had one very good experience here with shipping a package. The staff helped me choose the correct service and helped me to label the package correctly. Every other time I have gone, the staff was very rude and told me I was labeling things incorrectly. They need more consistent service here, otherwise I will probably avoid this location.

Jane Doe, You are one cranky B#!@h!! Why dont you stay home, this way you dont have to have conversation or "small talk" with anyone. Throw your mail in the box outside, this way the friendly people who actually like talking to each other dont have to put up with your cranky ass!

To make sure the Post Office was open, I checked the hours of operation on their website: 12AM - 11:59PM. Really??? If you cant maintain accurate information on your site, shut it down. It only serves to frustrate and confuse the public.

Had a PO Box there for a long time! With little notice, they shut down my box after there was a confusion. And I could not get the same box back. Besides the fact that all the women employees are usually in a bad mood.

False information is provided by Google about the hour of operation for this post office located in Farmingdale. They are not open 24 hours but only 9 to 5 Monday through Friday

They know what they are doing, and get the job done. They do suffer in the rate at which they help customers, often resulting in wait times over 15 minutes
