Horrible, horrible service in the Bethpage Post Office. There is generally only ONE person working the counter at any point. So, you have to wait. Want to use the APC, or Automated Postal Computer? After a busy weekend, by Sunday the machine says its empty, and cannot produce labels!!! If you are ever tracking their packages and see "MID ISLAND" as a tracking location, this is the Bethpage post office; its a hub for other local post offices. So now you know when you see delays from MID ISLAND its really this Bethpage Post Office causing the problem. And what happened to the USPS Creed? "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds" . . . . . . I was supposed to get a package today, and when I tracked it, the tracking info said "Receptacle Blocked, Notice Left". I called the Bethpage post office and asked what this means. The guy who answers the phone says to me, "Yeah, we aint coming out today." REALLY ??? Sure theres a snowstorm going on, but WTF ? And there was NO NOTICE LEFT. . . . . The USPS was SAVED by Amazon Prime with their Saturday and Sunday delivery. Without them they would have been shut down a long time ago because their service is HORRIBLE.

I had a package go through Bethpage, N.Y. and have yet to receive it. It went through Customs and then arrived at Bethpage. After 22 years of law enforcement experience, I would call this a haunch that someone is jacking packages. My item arrived on the 1st of February at 2:08 am, taking into account that several other packages went missing during this same time frame it is easy to say that this is a clue of the thievery that is going on. If there are USPS personnel that screen through these emails and genuinely cares about the customer, then maybe this is something you can investigate or tell higher headquarters what is going on. At least let people know you are reading the post and simply saying we are looking into the issue would at least satisfy some and put the notion of genuine concern; placing some of us at ease and not lose complete confidence in the United States Postal System.

No accountability whatsoever here. For the second time I sent an important letter Priority Mail from Bethpage to Manhattan. It was "guaranteed " by the guy to get there in two days. Since it was time sensitive I went for the extra money. The letter was sent to Brooklyn by mistake. No problem with the zip code, since when I tracked it they had the right zip code in the tracking information. They simply sent it to the wrong place. When I asked I was told, with a straight face "we deliver millions of pieces of mail accurately every day". No offer to help, just shrugged shoulders. I ended up having to make a trip into Manhattan to fix things, and the letter? It arrived TWO WEEKS after it was sent. The post office response was Priority Mail is actually not a guarantee. This has happened before. It. Will. Not. Happen. Again.

A few years ago I sent a 25 cent piece to my son worth $200.00. I told the clerk what it was and she said I should insure, I never lost anything in the mail but she insisted so I insured. T.G. i did , it got lost and I eventually got paid. A few weeks ago I sent back a promo bare essentials makeup, got a tracking # but then threw the receipt away not realizing the tracking #. Guess what, lost, now I have to pay the co for makeup that I returned. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. I will never ever use bethpage P.O. again. Something is very wrong there In my 72 yrs these are the only two times my mail was never received. I cant even rate this PO unless they had a minus button. I guess Ill have to because it wont let me publish otherwise.. i give it a minus 100. they ought to close this place down!

This place is absolutely trash. My package was sent out on April 14 and arrived in Bethpage at the sorting facility on April 16 at 2:06 am. It should have arrived at the destination in Brooklyn two days after it was shipped because has priority mail shipping. If you have the ability to choose which sorting facilities your packages go through, definitely make sure they dont go through Bethpage or better yet boycott USPS. I know I will be avoiding it from now on. They do not take accountability for anything. This needs to be investigated especially since there are this many people with complaints. This would not happen with FedEx or UPS because they fire their employees that steal. They dont have some stupid ass union that prevents them from being fired.

Ive ordered two things from a business that is near Bethpage recently. Both orders were shipped via Priority Mail and both orders took a few days too long to get here. Both orders were also scanned and marked as "departed USPS facility" but were absolutely still at the facility. Both packages shouldve arrived the day after shipping because Im a mere 50 miles away. This is an absolutely atrocious post office. My experiences with USPS are generally good, but this facility is just garbage. I hope for the sake of whoever is reading this that youre not in any kind of rush to receive whatever it is youre waiting on because theres a good chance its going to be very late, or based on other reviews, not show up at all.

Two weeks ago I was waiting for a package from Florida to the East End of Long Island. It hit this post office and was sent out to Colorado. It was a priority 2 to 3 days that I received in five. Here we are again another package coming up from Florida. The estimated delivery date was yesterday Friday the 24th of February. I just called this facility who said it will probably be Monday or Tuesday because it sits on a truck waiting for other packages. They will not deliver to my post office with only one or two items. The only problem is it shows that it left their destination on the 22nd. And on the 23rd it says in transit to destination, which is the last scan showing. I have no idea where my package is!

I called to find out where my package is. Tracking says it left this facility 12 days ago. "Sometimes things get lost" is what I was told. Im "allowed" to call back and check, but they will not call me back, copy me on an email, or contact me otherwise. No case number, no report filed, Diane will just "check with" "someone" via email who might know where on earth my daughters Easter dress went. (probably on one of their children right now). When your package is missing from here, because, judging by all these reviews, it will be... call Diane. This likely wont be of any help, but at least you can try. Ill change my review when you find my package.... never.

Supervisor "Tim" are not help anyone "Tracking says it left this facility 20 days ago and no update the status" this guy its lie to me my package was attend top delivery to wrong address to wrong person the supervisor tell me will be asap delivered to my address. was a wrong zip said ... and give to me a copy of picture from the package , i contact the seller the seller send me also a picture of the receiv from the package with a differed and good the address.. Document Forgery???? ( if i receive the original receipt i will sue the supervisor)
