We contracted Smart Systems and Matthew Pillius for a phased addition and renovation project at our office building. The project consisted of the installation of in-slab radiant heating in the 3500 sf addition, installation of Runtal baseboard heaters in the 2300 sf renovated area, new bathrooms, kitchen and the upgrade of our heating system to an Energy Kinetics System 2000 oil fired system. The project was complicated by the fact that we needed to continue our day to day operations during the phased construction. Overall we were extremely satisfied with Smart Sytems performance throughout the construction process. Smart Systems quality of work, courtesy and accommodations exceeded our expectations. We love the comfort level provided by the radiant heating, are amazed by the quietness and efficiency of the new boiler and will hire them for our next project without a question. The follow up calls we received to make sure we were happy with the service provided and to check on how the system is performing demonstrates their level of commitment to the project. I used the Smart Systems company today for the first time, and could not be more impressed. They answered my call immediately, and I had an appointment for a technician to come to repair the issue only a few hours later. When Niall arrived he was right on time, and explained everything he was doing, step by step to resolve the issue. He was courteous, polite, thorough, and took the time to answer any questions I had. The whole diagnosis and repair was completed with no mess, and incredibly efficiently. I can confidently say that I will recommend Smart Systems to all of my coworkers who may need work completed in the future, and that I will absolutely be using them for anything plumbing, HVAC or electrical work in the future.

We interviewed four solar installation companies before selecting Smart Systems. They were by far the best choice because of their deep background and knowledge of the mechanics of plumbing and electrical wiring - which made the installation of our solar thermal panels seamlessly integrate with the new and existing heat and hot water equipment in our home. We had a difficult-to-diagnose electrical short in the house. Melissa is wonderful, polite and professional. She scheduled a time slot for the next day, then called the next morning to see if the electrician could come early. When was a last time a contractor of any type was early? Michael was polite, clean, professional and explained what he was doing. He called in his boss to help fix the problem. The price was reasonable, especially considering they were here for 4 hours!

Called for an estimate for work I needed on my boiler. They wont give you an estimate unless you pay them $120.00. I would suggest you go elsewhere for an estimate before calling this company.
