I had Steve come out for an estimate and to see what he could do about an electrical problem in our bathroom. He was there about 20-30 min. Checked out our basement that we are going to have refinished and changed out a socket in our bathroom. Cost me $108 . Seems a little steep....but um ok. Then says he will get back to me via email to let me know an estimate on basement. A week goes by *crickets crickets crickets* ....2 weeks goes by so I give him a call and he states he did email me it must of not went through. Understandable I suppose. He sends an estimate for the basement for $295 final cost. O_o Ok so only $187 more to do an entire basement room but $108 for a simple 20 min socket exchange. Odd but hey seemed like a deal. I call him to let him know I would like the job done on the basement. *Crickets crickets crickets* Still no call back and its been a week or so. So um yea. My final conclusion is Im guessing he doesnt want the job. To not respond to people is highly unprofessional and a customer/client should never have to constantly reach the company who supposedly would do the work.

I cannot recommend Nichols Electrical Contracting highly enough. They originally installed the power for our above ground swimming pool a few years ago and did a fantastic job. Today (5/28/2014) I called due to a power outage on select circuits (due to a GFI that was not reset, a fault of my own ignorance.) Not only did Steves son Steven take time out of his busy day to resolve the mystery he refused to accept payment which I was more than happy to give! Knowledgeable, efficient and of the utmost integrity - Nichols gets all my future business! And Steve is a wonderful guest host on the Wham 1180 Home Repair Clinic too, keep up the great work guys!

I called up Nichols electrical due to a attic fan not working correctly. I was also having trouble with the lights on my garage door opener--the lights kept flickering. Steve came right over and told me to get better quality LED bulbs instead of the ones I had in there--I purchased quality CREE bulbs and that fixed that issue. Steve wouldnt accept payment for that. He also changed the switch in my attic fan, and the price was very reasonable. Steve Nichols and his team are my "go to" electricians. They are fairly priced and they get the job done quickly and done correctly.

Nichols Electrical models the way things should be in working with contractors. Professional, up front and clear about all costs and issues, and on time. Communications were simple, direct, and thorough. I felt thoroughly confident in the work as planned, and the cost was fixed before started, thus avoiding any cost surprises. The work done was excellent and everything was tidied up when finished. Steve Nichols and the electricians who did the work were extremely polite and courteous. If you need electrical work done, Nichols Electrical is a joy to work with.

Power has been going off and on in some of our rooms in our home . I called Steve and he said to call him next time the power went off . I called him today the Sat. before July 4th and he came out within a half hour ! Better yet he found the problem quickly (loose wires) and had everything fixed in no time . Very satisfied and I have him coming back to replace a GFI for me. Thanks Steve....

Reattached power lines to our garage that had been torn down by the windstorm. The price was right. They were prompt, friendly, knowledgeable & efficient. We cant say enough good things about them. They did a great job and they cleaned up the area after they completed their work. We will certainly have them do other work for us. We would definitely recommend them to others.

This is the third time we have had Nichols Electrical Contracting do work for us and we have always been satisfied. They previously installed two ceiling fans and this time they put recessed lighting in our kitchen. Steve and Bobby did an excellent job. Very knowledgeable gave a quick quote within 2 days. Got work done within a few hours (had to install outside wire+ brand new panel box. Got back to me within a day from any form of communication (calling or email) and was reasonably priced for the job. Even did a home inspection and took photos of what was worked on/needed to be done! 10/10
