I am a business owner and I expect other professionals to be somewhat as customer service oriented as I am. Unfortunate to say, having high standards leaves me often disappointed, and this case is no different. Submitted a claim through my home warranty for a rental property that I own. The contractor calls me for his prompt payment of the service fee, when he arrives at the property. I will say he was on time, and the scheduling was easy. But thats where the good experiences end. I requested that my receipt be emailed to me for my records. You call me for prompt payment, then reply with a prompt receipt. His excuse for not sending the receipt was that he wrote the email down incorrectly. You have my number call and confirm what the correct email is, or simply text me the receipt. Its several hours later and I had to text him to find out what the diagnosis is with my property. Im 5 hours behind him, so I text instead of call. He states it was late in the evening thats why he didnt respond, and that he doesnt contact the home owners until he submits the claim to the home warranty. You see Im a concerned home owner trying to provide the best service for my tenant. Why not contact me after the inspection with your findings, letting me know in a brief call or text what your findings were, and you will follow up with me with more details after speaking with the warranty company? I had to contact the tenant, who was already stressed out to find out what was going on. I forwarded my email address for the service fee receipt, still have not received it. The warranty company says they still have not received a call detailing the diagnosis. I question the integrity of his diagnostic process. Update... Got a second opinion after it was reported by Comfort Control to my home warranty they could not find the problem, and that it was an issue that was caused by water damage, which means my warranty would not cover it. The second company found and fixed the problem, charged no service fee, and informed my warranty company it was not due to water damage as previously stated.

If I could give zero stars I would. Technician came out to fix an issue with my propane furnace that wouldnt light. Without testing anything...shined a flashlight on the system and said it would be $245 to pressure test the gas line and clean the pilot jet. Not sure what the initial $109 diagnostic was supposed to cover...for some crazy reason, I thought it would cover some actual diagnostics. The technician was still a nice guy, even though I was a bit of a jerk at that point. He made a point of coming back to my house to plug a wire back in so that I wouldnt have an inoperable hvac system. Found another company to come out and do diagnose my system problems. He spent over an hour doing the pressure test, cleaning the pilot jet, using his volt meter to test all of the solenoids on the gas valve, and using his inspection camera throughout the entire heat exchanger...all for $89!!! When he realized how many parts would be needed to fix my furnace, I decided to replace my entire system (built in 1988, well beyond serviceable life). Too bad Comfort Control didnt instill me with trust or they could have had made a nice large sale.

Cannot recommend higher. Larry is an obvious professional who is a master in his industry. In my new-to-me home, a circuit breaker had recently began to trip each time I turned on the hallway light. I thought I could fix it myself. I replaced the breaker, then the light switches, even dropped the light fixture. Didnt electrocute myself, but the breaker was still popping. I dug through the internet and found Comfort Control. The office manager was professional, and scheduled an appointment the very next day. Larry introduced himself, asked questions, and made sure he understood my concern. He explained what he would need to do, and what the cost would be. He found the cause, and fixed the issue in a flash. Im glad I called, and grateful for his assistance.

Not only did the technician "Larry" attempt to charge $291 for a "faulty blower relay"; he was unwilling/unable to effectively communicate the "problem" to me when requested. Thereafter, I declined his services, still having to pay for a $109 service fee (to learn that I shouldnt trust his work/ethics). I called for a second opinion and had an Electrician come in. Within the hour, SHE found the TRUE problem was from faulty eroded leads connecting to the capacitor (which was NOT what Larry had proposed) and fixed it with $5 dollars worth of supplies. That said, I will NEVER recommend Comfort Control of VA, Inc. to anyone in the future.

Fair pricing and fast installation. I was looking for a small local company and I highly recommend this one. I was even able to take advantage of 0 percent financing through them. They made choosing the right system easy with a tablet application. I wish the best for this company and hope they can grow. Im not a big franchise fan if you hadnt guessed. Thanks the new system. It will definitely help the value of my home when I sell later next year.

Very reliable and efficient service and maintenance. Weve been customers for several years, opting for patch jobs on our 7 year old contractor grade system. Wed finally had enough, so we asked Comfort Control to handle our complete dual-zone LP HVAC replacement. The transition to a new, updated system was seamless and only took a couple of days to complete.

Great Company! A different HVAC company had informed me that my coil was bad and I had no option other than to replace my entire 7 year old system. I called Comfort Control of VA for a second opinion. They were able to send a technician the same day and replaced my coil within 48 hrs. System is running great.

I checked with other companies to have heat pump and furnace installed. Comfort Control offered the best value for the price. Larry, the owner was very knowledgeable and offered the best service and equipment at a fair price.
