I contacted CV Wenger to have a bathtub with a shower surround removed and a new shower installed. The estimator came out within a few hours and looked at the job. He brought no books with him to show me any showers or hardware options. He told me there were two brand names they deal with, to look them up on the internet and to contact the office to inform them of which shower I want. Within a few hours I picked out my shower and contacted the office with my information. I received the estimate via email the very next day. I was shocked by the estimate which was for $5,895.00. The estimate had no details and was not itemized. There was no hardware listed because we had never discussed hardware. I was able to obtain the price for the shower of $735.00. I estimated the cost of all other materials to be no more than $300.00. That is a total of $1035.00 for materials. That leaves $4860.00 for labor. At the most, the job would take 8 hours – probably less. They were to remove the old shower, frame a 5” wide by 25” long wall, change some of the plumbing and install new shower. I would be doing the drywall, painting, caulking and trim work. So 8 hours comes to $607.50 per hour. CV Wengers estimate was $3500.00 higher than another well-known plumbing company in the area. That plumber brought books to show me shower and hardware options. He spent about an hour going over all my options and helped to pick out hardware that would match the bathroom hardware I already had. He also showed me the shower I had previously picked out was not my best option and showed me a better shower from the same supplier. I wrote CV Wenger an email asking them if they made a mistake on the estimate and asked them to contact me to discuss it. Two weeks have passed and I received no email, phone call or any other communication from them.

Not impressed. CV Wenger was one of 4 different companies we had quote a few jobs (electrical work and installation of a new central air unit) and of all 4 quotes they were the highest on each job. Their estimates werent itemized either. When we asked what the specific charges were for they didnt have an answer. Other companies broke charges down into categories like parts, labor, etc. When you need a job done and one person tells you they can do it for $4k and breaks it down and answers your questions you REALLY have to question the company that quotes you $7k and wont tell you anything else. We went with another company and couldnt be happier about it.

Called on Sunday for Emergency Service but was told because I was not a current client they would not provide me Emergency Service. I have a newer home and have never needed a plumber. I had no water in my home, a sick child and to be told I am sorry we cannot help you because you are not a current client...really? What kind of customer service is that? Really disappointed in a this local company, I am not from this area but I retired from the US Army here and try to use the local companies whenever I can....went to Hagerstown for assistance...thanks Chambersburg.

Called several places due to severe pipe leak and water running down my wall. Some said theyd call back but never did or that they were too busy to offer assistance. I called CV Wenger and Katie (who answered the phone) was awesome. She got immediate counsel for me and went out of her way to try to assist. Although they too were booked for the day, it didnt keep them from putting forth effort to at least help stop the water from running and put a bandaid on it. I would absolutely, without hesitation recommend them and their friendly and prompt service. Thank you.

When our heat pump stopped working I used Google to find a highly rated HVAC company in our local area. I saw that CV Wenger had 4.8 / 5 stars (19 reviews) - the highest around. I called them and they came out the very next day - first thing in the morning. From the secretary on the phone to Shawn the technician, everyone was extremely professional and nice. I felt that they were reasonably priced and were not simply trying to price gouge. I would highly recommend this company!

We ran into a problem with our central air a week ago and called a different local HVAC company that had originally installed the unit under the previous owners. They told us that it would be a "few days" until they got to us because they had to service their current customers first. After 7 days without a word from them we placed a call to CV Wenger. Even as a new customer they had a technician to our door in less than 2 hours. We really appreciate the fast service.

6 16 17 Service Call poor air flow. "Not happy with the service rendered". Made inquiry afterwards to no avail. I had set up for an estimator on 6 19 17 Tech came, no books or anything pertaining to the job requested. (Replace standing shower, install drive on pump). We never heard back.......Serving the area as long as they have we thought they would be a bit more professional.......

Myron came out, met with me and Ive been waiting on an estimate for over a month now. Called once and was given half the jobs estimate and they said the guy who does the rest of the estimates was on vacation. Here I am three weeks later and still no estimate. UPDATE: Finally got back to me with estimate that seems reasonable. Will finish review when work is complete.
