Ive been going to Maguire Subaru for service for about three years now and it has been one disappointment after another. My last Subaru had one problem after another and they had all kinds of trouble getting it fixed. I got out from under that vehicle and purchased a new one from them -- good sales experience. Ive had the new vehicle in for work twice now and they continue to fail to provide basic service -- forgot to replace a cover after the first service and then today was the kicker --- I scheduled an 11am appt for an oil change and tire rotation. Instead of interrupting the work day, I decided to drop it off before work in the morning and pick it up at the end of the day. So, it was dropped off at 7:45am for an 11am appointment. I asked for it to be ready by 4pm. When I pulled into the lot at 5pm to pick it up, the car was still sitting in the exact same spot and there were 5-6 of their service employees standing around near it having a great time telling stories, laughing etc... Well, then the phone rings and its the service manager calling to say that they havent had a chance to get to it yet. I went in and let him know what I thought about that -- you must be kidding me -- all day long for an oil change and tire rotation and they never touched it! What a waste of my time...

Took my 2011 Impreza here because the rear brakes were making noise, after they looked at it the woman at the service desk came back with a paper quoting 1400 for all new brakes and several suspension parts. Decided only to replace the rear pads and rotors here and get the rest of the work done elsewhere for price reasons. When I took my car to a Monro and asked them to replace the front rotors and pads after looking at the car they asked me why I thought they needed to be replaced. I told them and they asked to see the sheet Maguire gave me. They looked through everything on it, took me into the garage, and showed me the rotors and suspension parts the people at Maguire has tried to charge me for, which were completely fine. Danny at Monro said that he did not feel comfortable doing any of the work on Maguires sheet because it was completely unnecessary.Thank god I didnt get the work done at Maguire!!. DO NOT GET YOUR CAR SERVICED AT MAGUIRE. They lied to me and will lie to others as well.

Terrible customer service! My spouse and I looked at a pre owned Subaru outback last week. We test drove it and liked it a lot. We were concerned that it had been in an accident and wanted to find out how extensive the damage was before spending $20,000. I spoke with both Frank and Mike in sales and after looking at the car a second time (in the same day-we were very motivated to buy) I told them I wanted to purchase it providing they could find out a little more information about the damage since it was serviced in their repair shop. I confirmed they had my number and asked them to call me first thing the next morning with the information. Its been 2 weeks and they have never been in contact. I went to Van Bortel Subaru and they took care of me. The first time. I should have known better since we have had problems with their service department overcharging as well as breaking a piece on my husbands truck a few years back and denying it and refusing to fix it.

I bought my 2014 Subaru here in October 2016. My sales person was Frank Khan and he was extremely helpful. The whole process was very easy and painless and I got an excellent price on an excellent car. I went back for an oil change today and just wanted to leave this review because I know that service people often dont get a thank you for routine things when people are satisfied. My service appointment went smoothly, it was done in the hour they said it would take, the price was good and the service representative I worked with was very helpful and kind. The waiting room was fine and I noticed a nice coffee area (although we stayed in the toy area for my daughter). I appreciate the good service today and the previous good service when I purchased my car. Thank you all!

Worst service ever, I took my car, which was rated in great shape in October after a minor maintenance, here for inspection in early February (so 3 months later). Macguire failed me because according to them my exhaust was totally rotted, my car was spilling out oil and coolant, and my suspension was about to collapse which would cost >$6500 in repairs. They would love to buy my car from me however and sell me the same car from 2006 with the same mileage for $12,000 (I bought mine for ~$3,000). I went to another Ithaca mechanic who said Macguire made up every problem completely except for a suspension problem that was minor and not an inspection failure and it would cost <$1000 to fix it completely. Macguire Family is either totally incompetent or complete crooks.

Mixed experience here. Service department is quite good and professional. They honor their time, price, and quality commitments. But the Sales department...wow. I waited for my car in the Subaru "customer lounge". Visible to me were three salespeople in various states of boredom. A female salesperson was eating chips loudly at her desk and playing solitaire, and she and a male salesperson went outside and smoked cigarettes in full view of customers and around vehicles they surely intend to sell. A display case of Subaru accessories was coated in dust, and a rack of Thule bike mounts was likewise dirty. Maybe they could ask the bored salespeople to clean the place up a bit? I would never buy a car here if these are their standards.

My wife and I had a 5 star experience working with Frank Khan. Frank was well spoken and informed about the Subaru brand. He answered all our questions over email in a timely manner and offered us a very competitive price for a Subaru Impreza Sport. Unfortunately, the dealership did not have the Impreza Sport model we were looking for in stock, but Frank let us test drive a base model Impreza, which sold us on the car. We ended up purchasing the sport model from another dealership in order to avoid waiting on a custom order, which was no fault of Frank or Maguire. I would work with Frank again and plan to do so in the coming year.

Yes me an my girl friend went here she bought a nice Subaru here we just moved in the ithica area . She and I are very particular about the sales possess extensive online research . How ever Jon Michael our sales person that greated us an put us in our new car was awesome . If any one reads this an wants the best over all an most patient service ask for Jon Michael . Most the staff seemed OK I have very little complaints . Funny we went to several places Id recommend this place to any one that sales guy really help explain things to my girl friend better best car lot ever 10 stars .
