An Amazon package was supposed to be delivered yesterday. I had set up text updates through the USPS. It was supposedly delivered at 2:53pm, and I received the text at 2:54. As I was downstairs, I immediately rushed out to get it but it was nowhere to be found. Upon trying to figure out what happened, a manager at this post office supposedly determined that the carrier "heard a dog" and just threw the package on the top step. I was home and my old, lazy dog did not bark. I did check with my next-door neighbor who has a barky dog, and they havent seen it. Im not sure why theyre trying to claim that someone must have stole it off my stoop when the thief would have had to do this while the courier was right there. I showed the manager the textual proof of this but theyre still being completely unhelpful. They say there is "nothing they can do" since it was apparently scanned right outside my residence. Nonsense. I can also GPS my house and pull up a picture of it. I hope Amazon goes back to shipping their goods strictly through United Parcel Service. At least UPS can figure out how to deliver a package to my house. EDIT: A neighbor who lives a few houses down and across the street just walked the package over while I was outside. The manager at the Lockport Post Office was insisting that the courier had brought it to the correct house and showed me a picture of my house, swearing up and down that thats the location where the package was scanned. This neighbor doesnt have a dog. I get that the occasional mishap can happen in a very busy system like the USPS, but they should at least own up to them and try to fix problems when they occur.

I have lost over $1500.00 in packages. The post office said they were delivered and probably were stolen.I went down there to speak to the supervisor on several occasions and received many different excuses.It clearly says to drop a slip off and not to leave any packages since my packages being missing has been an ongoing problem for two years.The supervisor told me that the postal carriers dont read the mailboxes to see my note written in black sharpie marker.Then he told me to insure all packages,and sometimes the insurance is more money then the package itself.I had packages soaked in rain and ruined when it clearly states to put a slip in the mailbox and I will personally pick up my packages.Now I receive slips and go to post office to get them and they cannot find my packages even though I have the slip and tracking number,LOST.I have made so many complaints I cannot use my computer because they blocked me so Im using my friends computer to complain about this situation. Items can never be found and no refunds. They are rude and dont care, saying they are understaffed.Sometimes they say my mailman has my items in the truck and to come back but are never found.This has destroyed my small ebay business as I have given so many refunds to my customers and received complaints.This happens on a weekly basis,losing important mail and packages.I call all these phone numbers Im given and its the same excuse,insure all packages.I have not have one item returned to me or been compensated in any way.Rude,inconsiderate,say call this number,that number,nothing is done.I also get mail delivered twice a day,in the afternoon and as late as 8:30 pm.

Id give negative stars if I was allowed. Everyone working in this dump is incompetent beyond belief. Ive lived at the same place for six years now and suddenly, today, my address is incorrect? You have to be kidding me. I called to speak with someone about this and after being told hed check with the carrier, he hung up on me. Further calls dont connect, so I cant call back and ask what happened. This isnt the first time that a package Ive ordered hasnt come through without a problem and I know for a fact that it wont be the last. If I could get my mail delivered to a post office in another town, you better believe Id make the trip to pick up my mail. Id drive to another state if I had to, just to avoid using the Lockport post office ever again. Avoid this place like the God damn plague.

Id give zero stars if I could. Rude, rude, rude guys working the counter. After waiting in an unusually long line, I brought several pre-paid, small packages to the counter. I used the shipping method that was offered to me from the website I sold the merchandise on, turns out I couldnt use that method when I disclosed the contents. I was turned away and insulted by a guy named Vince...He made a sarcastic comment that just fueled an already bad situation. Bullying, belittling, all those things are not tolerated today...especially in a public place like the post office.

Nice enough folks, they do their job and are reasonably polite when I have to go in there but if I may be a little snobby here: I expect a level of professionalism and class from the post office that I dont see at this place. The one guy, with the dirty hippy hair and the beard, his blue shirt is always brown with dirt. The bald guy is always wearing sleeveless shirts. This just seems wrong to me. Thank you for being nice but have a little class. Youre representing the post office here, not Terrapin Station.

I hate this post office. I can never call and talk to someone because the line is busy at all times throughout the day. They constantly lose my mail. Theyve delivered big packages addressed to me to my neighbors house and left them in the rain. I really dislike this post office.

Never leave my packages no matter how small. I have watched them put a notice in the box and not even have the package. This is ridiculous !!! I work the same hours they are open. So now I have to hope they leace my stuff. Great.

THANK YOU shipped pkg from Kailua-Kona Hawaii to a business in Lockport NY. I forgot to put a street address, but after a call to the Post Office the pkg got to the right address.
