Let me just say...I have given them the benefit of the doubt 1 too many times. Lets begin real quick by saying, this has only happened since the new carrier started my route. 4 packages within 4 months have gone to the wrong residence. A irreplaceable piece of art was "delivered" to my house. Looked around the house in case someone brought it in...nope. About 5 days later, I get the package on my doorstep, delivered by a neighbor 2 blocks away. Ok, I get it...it happens so Ill just mark it off and move on. Boy was I wrong. My next package was delivered, again art. Called USPS who said that the geotracker shows it was on the wrong block. They said they would have the carrier retrieve the package and bring it back. 3 weeks later, I did receive it...opened and then taped back up. After that, another missing package. The last straw was today. I have texts sent to my phone on when my packages are delivered. Got the text, checked the front door and...nothing. Checked my next door neighbors door...nothing. I decided to drive around the block and check the my house number on different streets. Not around the corner. Decided to check 2 blocks down...and whattaya know. Sitting right on another person steps. Embarrassing as that was, I had to explain to their next door neighbor, who was mowing his lawn, that I wasnt a thief looking to take other peoples packages. I also had to show him my ID to prevent him from calling the police. I really hope that this review gets to the postmaster as no one should ensure this kind of embarrassment. Its not a hard job...my friend has been in the USPS for 5 years.

If there was an option to put no stars I would. I ordered something online and the carrier came to my job (I had the floor level, suite and office number specified when I placed my order online) we have receptionist there until 5:00pm everyday. On the day my package was delivered the carrier didnt bother bringing my package to the 2nd floor and to my suite where we have not one but two receptionist daily to accept all packages. Instead the carrier gave my package to anyone. I called to explain everything. Expecting to get some assistance because in this situation I did my part. But instead I got an attitude, put off for four days straight (I called continuously hoping to get helped) the last call I was on the person inside the USPS office purposely hung up on me while I was talking. He just told me, "we dropped off the package." "I dont know what to tell you?!" Are you kidding me?! This is how you guys treat your customers. EVERYONE THAT WORKS FOR THIS LOCATION MUSTVE FORGOT YOU WORK FOR AND WITH THE PUBLIC AND YOURE OBLIGATED TO HELP EVERY INDIVIDUAL NO MATTER WHAT! IF YOU DONT LIKE DEALING WITH PEOPLE AND YOU HAVE A NASTY ATTITUDE THEN YOU OBVIOUSLY HAVE THE WRONG JOB. I WOULD NOT ADVISE ANYONE TO EVER GO HERE. THEY ALL HORRIBLE, RUDE, AND NOT HELPFUL WHATSOEVER! NONE OF YOU DESERVE A JOB AT ALL! I WILL BE CALLING CORPORATE ON THIS LOCATION!

Ok, my second attempt w. this PO. My package was posted "attempted delivery" which I had not known until I got the senders email w. the tracking number which stated a NOTE was left. There was NO note! (they claimed it blew away...seriously? from INSIDE my mail box?) I called the NHP-PO and they directed me immediately to the Lake Success office who scratched their heads wondering why I bothered them and told me to call back the NHP post office. Needless to say, what they say about postal workers are true. Slow as molasses, and one hand doesnt know what the other is doing. Irregardless, after some hemming and hawing, they decided to be REAL nice and HELP me out. Thanks mail people! Brings me back to the time I waited in line for 1/2 hour with ONE person in front of me only to get to the front of the line and they put up an "OUT TO LUNCH" sign. I had no choice but to stand there and watch the peanut gallery behind the counter run back and forth (doing what IDK) for 45 minutes until they were "ready" to assist me. The new incident hasnt change my perspective.

New Hyde Park USPS is beyond atrocious; every interaction I have had with ANY employee there has been disgraceful. I spend $55,000 - $60,000 in shipping through the USPS. The employees at the New Hyde Park, NY post office on Second Street continually try to intimidate me to not drop off my packages there anymore. On several occasions, they have told me to take my shipments elsewhere. One can only postulate that they wish to do the least amount of work possible in order to get their salary. I find the attitude of these USPS employees to be reprehensible. The reason why USPS has to keep raising rates is to compete with other shipping companies. Perhaps, if their employees behaved better and were concerned with providing customer service, as the USPS did 30 years ago, maybe more people would use them as a shipping and mailing service again. What, sincerely, has gone wrong here? What I do know is that New Hyde Park, NY USPS is horrendous and the employees should be ashamed. I know that I, personally, and embarrassed for each and every one of them.

Mail typically delivered to my street as late as 6pm, when it is delivered at all. Constant mis-deliveries. Mail found in the street in a puddle. Mail carrier had a package for me that had to be signed for; he simply chose not to deliver it. I waited until the next day; when he dropped mail in the box and left I ran out, asking him if he had a package that I had to sign for. He sighed, said "Oh yeah, lemme go get it" and returned to the truck where he had left my package, clearly not willing to take the 10 seconds to deliver and get a signature. He handed it to me and said "I dont have any of the signy things so just take it." When I called the post office to complain, Kathy interrupted me throughout my explanation and, due to her SEVERE impatience, caused the discussion to go much longer than it should have. Bumped me over to "carrier issues" and they didnt pick up the phone for over an hour. Explained again; was told they would get back to me. Yeah. like THATS going to happen...

I am 7months pregnant and live on he second floor from a store front. When the door bell rings it takes time to come down the stairs. Today my door bell rings, by the time I get down stairs to see whos at the door I see the pink slip along with my mail saying my package has been sent to the post office. This isnt the first time. The slip was poorly written you can clearly see the carrier was in a rush in full out the slip. I am very dissatisfied with the carrier service. Fortunately my experience in the actual post office has been pleasant its generally not too busy and even when there is a line your done in a timely manner. Because i have to select a star I gave this office a one other wise I wouldnt give any stars.

FIRST YOU WILL WAIT ON LINE FOREVER. THE PEOPLE WORKING IN HERE ARE SO SO SLOW. PEOPLE ON LINE HAVE COMPLAINED AND ASKED THE SUPERVISOR TO PUT MORE PEOPLE ON. THE SUPERVISOR IS NASTY, VERY NASTY. SHE LETS PEOPLE JUST WAIT AND WAIT ON LINE. IF YOU HAVE A PICK UP FROM YOUR PO BOX, YOU HAVE TO WAIT ON LINE TILL YOU GET CALLED. WHY IS THAT? WHY CANT YOU JUST GO TO THE FRONT AND RING THE BELL, SO THEY CAN GET YOUR PACKAGE. ALL I CAN SAY IS THEY ARE RUDE AND THE PEOPLE WORKING ARE RETARDED, SLOW ,VERY RUDE AND CAN BARELY SPEAK ENGLISH ! WHO CAN UNDERSTAND THEM? I KNOW I CANT. STAY AWAY IF YOU CAN UNLESS YOU HAVE NOTHING ELSE BETTER TO DO.
