I have been using Midas for a little over a year now to help refurbish an older truck and do routine maintenence on a Nissan Sentra. Firstly I would like to say I used to do my own work until a back injury put a stop to it. Since then Ted and crew have done wonders while charging so little. Their pricing difference really shines with engine and electrical issues, the everyday stuff being second nature. Second I would like to address the sour apples. I am sure the rest of you agree, sometimes things take longer than they should or mistakes happen. I havent read here or ANYWHERE else, that Midas has made any major mistakes causing anything more than inconvience , something they are usually apologetic for. Quality automobile service shouldnt be done on a lunch break, and I think that the only negative you can possible see is that they will make you wait in order to get it right. This is something I WANT, not a negative. If youre willing to sacrifice the life of your engine and possible youre own in order to do it as fast as possible, (because thats obviously more important right?) Then go to Jiffy Lube and roll the dice that they dont mess up, and dont count on them telling you your brake line is leaking or that your oil pan is rotting. I will be patient and make sure my vehicles are handled by certified master mechanics who actually care more about me and my vehicles than a schedule.

These guys will rip you off with smiles on their faces. I brought them my car for a simple oil change... They call me up hours later and tell me its all done. I checked afterward and they didnt change my oil filter. I was charged for parts and service that included an oil filter. Paid $32 for a big hassle and to get ripped off by a bunch of clowns. Who knows if they changed my oil at all or if they just topped it off. Doing this can severely damage my car over time. I wouldnt ever trust them to touch my car again. Dont trust any service they do to you unless you are standing there watching them. Dont let their fake friendliness fool you into trusting them. Rick may seem like a decent guy but he is schemer.

Two days ago I dropped my car off for an oil change. They told me it would be roughly an hour and theyd call me when it was done. I went back after waiting an hour and forty-five minutes and it still wasnt done! I had to go to work, so I couldnt wait any longer. They said they were backed up with another car, but there is no reason they couldnt have called me to let me know it was going to take twice as long as they said. Ridiculous, never going back.

Ive been bring my high-mileage 2003 Toyota Corolla to Rick and his team for the past six plus years. Always get great service from the team and they tell me exactly what needs to be done before doing anything to the car. Their great service has kept my daily commuter car on the road for over 400,000 miles. Keep up the good work guys!

Always found Rick and his team fair and skilled at what they do. i had been a customer of another local mechanic who shall remain nameless that was bested on two occasions when I sought a second opinion from Midas--need I say that Midas New Paltz is not second choice anymore.

The front desk guy got us in quickly after our unexpected run in with a tire on the highway. The mechanic even took us to the car to show us where it hit and reattached a bolt at no expense! We were out in no time, happy to have gone to this friendly honest place

Always friendly, this Midas is well worth your time and money. Theyve always been honest with me and not made repairs they felt were unnecessary. Additionally, they have convenient Saturday hours which seems to be the exception in New Paltz. Highly recommended!

Wow, I was surprised to hear anyone say bad things about Rick & his brother Ted... That has not been my experience. They are friendly & helpful & give me a deal on oil changes & when I am in town theyll take a moment to check my oil, if I ask!

Very satisfied, great customer service , organizes time well and trustworth. My car sounded really loud as if the muffler had broken but it turned out to be the heat shield. Hey fixed it and didnt even charge me.

I have been here many times. I have heard from others they will rip you off if you dont know anything about cars. I do however, and they have always been honest and reasonable with me. Friendly people also.
