Ive been taking my cars to A&H for the better part of the last decade. They are friendly, knowledgeable, fair, and above-all the best mechanics in the Hudson Valley. Heres a quick story about my first experience with A&H...Back in 2002, I bought a 1991 Nissan 300zx that needed some mechanical TLC...but the body was flawless. Shortly after I purchased it, I called dozens of mechanics only to find that most were afraid and unwilling to work on my car due to the complexity of the engine design. So I then had no other choice but to take it to the Nissan dealer, assuming they would be the experts. Well I guess they were afraid as well!! Nissan told me that I had internal engine noise and needed a new engine. They told me they required a down payment of $1500 just to pull the old engine out. After telling Nissan off, I asked around again and a close mechanical friend recommended A&H to me. He said that if anyone could fix it, Rob at A&H was that guy. To make a long story short, A&H meticulously took the time to diagnose the actual problem and was able to get me back on the road for less than $900..parts AND labor. Ive been an A&H customer ever since and I no longer have to stress when I have car troubles...because I know that the honest guys at A&H will get me up and running again in no time. Without them, there is no way I would have been able to afford this car for the past 8 years. Thanks A&H! You guys are the best...see you soon!

I usually do not write reviews online but it is hard to find an honest and good mechanic and when one does, it seems like a treasure that one has to share. thats why I am putting the same review in multiple places Very honest people. Great Service. Will never overcharge. We had to get some work done concerning our muffler and adjoining pipes. Midas in New Paltz said it would be around $400. A&H did it for $217.

If you have a European/Swedish vehicle take it to some one who specializes in such cars. these guys dont know a thing about them however they still charged me and the problem wasnt solved. what they claimed was broken was actually not when i wen to the dealer ship. "its supposed to do that" said the mechanic at the dealer ship. next if you misplace or forget something at that place consider it gone.

These guys are absolutely awesome! Super friendly and very accommodating. Lest not forget the great pricing. Rob did my brakes on my IS a job that would have cost me close to $1600 at the dealer. I have been telling everyone if you have to do any work on your car go see the guys at A&H! You will be happy you did. Thanks again! Keep up the good work!!

Pros: A&H is a great shop! Rob, the owner, is an excellent mechanic with 30 years of experience. His prices are fair, and the turnaround is generally pretty fast. Cons: Rob gets cranky when hes busy, which is fairly often.
