DO NOT USE! We were not given the service that we were told we would get. On our move out day, only 2 movers showed up. (David told us there would be 3 when we were comparing prices with other companies). This made for a 5 1/2 hour time frame to move a 2 bedroom condo. Because there was only 2 guys, the truck was left unattended, unlocked and with the doors wide open on the street while the two guys got our furniture from the building, into the elevator and out to the truck. We also paid for an over night fee to hold our stuff until our move in date. (since they would not be able to use the truck that had our stuff stored in it for other moves.) I was fine paying this fee until on our move in day, the guys came 2 hours late because they had used the extra space in our truck to do another move earlier that morning several hours upstate! Again, that upstate move only had 2 guys so all of our stuff was left unattended upstate on the street when we had been paying for it to be securely locked up in the truck. Our move in was delayed again when half way through the move, the movers had to stop and move the other guys stuff around in the truck just to get to the rest of our stuff. It took me two weeks of calling to even get David on the phone to discuss this with me. I was not refunded anything for the fact that only 2 guys showed up on move out day, the fact that all of my possessions were left unattended in two separate locations and the fact that they were late. When I called them out for "double dipping" by charging us for the over night and then still using the truck for another guys move, they did refund me the over night fee. Once David told me he would not refund any of our money for these issues, I told him that this would all go in his review online and his response was very harsh and aggressive, saying "We do not take threats lightly". Not a threat David. Just a customer explaining to you that now that you will not do anything about these issues, I will make sure other people know about my experience so they can be better informed. It is a shame because the actual movers were very nice guys (which is the only reason I gave 1 star at all), but are set up for failure because they are understaffed, which leads to fatigue and in tern effects the quality of their work. I definitely do not recommend Arnoff to anyone looking for movers in the Hudson Valley area!

Wow! These reviews are spot on with what happened to me. They dragged my cream-colored sofa on the ground! They damaged all of my higher-priced furniture and tried to lie and say that they wrapped everything. Thankfully, I actually had my dropcam which shows the entire move out of my apartment. The leader tried to clean my sofas with MR. CLEAN CLEANER!!! They broke a piece off of my coffee table and never said a word about it. They tore my chair and placed the chairs in a way that I wouldnt see it. I am so disappointed that I spent over $2,000 for this move. The company is unresponsive when calling about your claim. Do yourself a favor and listen to these reviews. If you do decide to go with them, get the additional insurance and have someone else there with you to watch what they are doing. A camera would be even better. I am so thankful that I remembered that my camera saved all recordings. I am still going back and forth regarding the damage they did to my actual property. I would have been better off wrapping my own furniture and hiring a couple of guys on Craigslist. I will tell as many people as needed about my experience with this company. The sales person said that everything would be meticulously wrapped. He was very nice and I thought my things were in good hands. Just dont do it folks. Listen to the few reviews that are on here. I sure wish I had of!! I saw the reviews and still moved forward because the salesperson gave me a song and dance about how careful they are blah blah blah. If you still decide to go with them, check the inventory sheet, if you see writing next to your items, ask them what it is. Come to find out that the writing was them identifying damage (nonexistent damage at the time of the move!!). Take a picture of that form before they leave to bring your furniture to your new home. Because I didnt know about this, I dont get two of my larger mirrors that could not be fixed replaced. They should be upfront but they are dishonest. How are you going to write in those things AFTER the items have been removed? But this whole experience has been an expensive lesson learned for sure.

I wish Google let me give less than one star. The salesman, Phil, showed up at our house and even when we told him we were ONLY taking bedroom furniture, decided to include 2 couches. a loveseat, 4 leather chairs and 3 coffee tables in the estimate. The price was way too high, so we asked for options. Phil told us we could do an hourly rate move, so we asked for 10 hours, knowing we could get everything moved in that time (we moved ourselves a year earlier in less time, with more furniture). The movers showed up, and immediately started complaining that this was a "two-day job." We started the move, my wife and I helped bring boxes to the front yard. Within 40 minutes, the guys were taking a break, and that continued-40 minutes work, 10-12 minute smoke break. Lunch started at noon, they were by the cab of the truck, my wife decided wed get them some food, so she went to Wendys and got burgers, fries, nuggets and frostys for everyone. They took about 20 minutes to eat, then continued with their HOUR LONG lunch. Im not complaining about buying them food, we were happy to do that, but extending the lunch break was asinine. When we finally got to the new house, they broke one of the bookshelves. We knew it was going to rain, so we were trying to move things along. Once the rain started, they hopped in the cab to "wait it out" and have more cigarettes. Without exaggerating, the rain stopped within 30 seconds, and, because they already lit their cigarettes, they stayed on break. The rain came again as soon as the break was over, so guess what happened? Another break to wait it out. They could have finished in 7 1/2 hours, but with all the breaks, we got charged for the full 10 hours. To top it off, Arnoff wont give any kind of a refund, even though their "top team of guys" took over 2 1/2 hours of breaks (not including lunch). Ill never use them again, and Ill tell others to steer clear of Arnoff, unless they have money to burn. If you feel like wasting money, hire Arnoff to move your stuff. Theyre GREAT at overcharging and under-deliverying.
