My daughter recently changed jobs and is now traveling extensively for her new company which is located in Florida. Residing in an apartment in Hoboken she decided to move back to my home until she finds a place in Florida where her new job is located. She let me know this 1 week before Thanksgiving that she had to be out the day after Thanksgiving and it had to be on that Saturday because of the restrictions in Hoboken. Now my dilemma was, "How am I going to get someone to move me in just 1 week?" I called several moving companies and the company who got back to me immediately was Charles Moving and Storage. They returned my call promptly and asked me several questions and told me to stop worrying he can make this happen. He asked me if he could see the apartment and I met him there just 3 days before the move. He arrived Saturday morning at 9:00 am with his men and they had the contents packed and loaded in just three hours. They put blankest and packaging around everything and carried it down four flights to the truck. They moved all of the contents to my home seamlessly and with ease. I have already recommended him to several of my friends and will continue to do so. I cannot thank them enough for making my life easy. Thanks again, Charles Moving and Storage! B. Porter

I used to use College Hunks moving but they were booked up so I tried this local moving place. Was frustrating to get in touch with them, they didnt return calls or werent in the office. "Dee" didnt mention anything about wrapping furniture or extra charges (I sent her pics). She booked 4 guys on a job which should have taken 3-4 hours. Because they got overtime, the guys worked incredibly slow. At any one point in time I never knew where 1-2 of the guys were or what they were doing. My Partner and I ended up moving stuff and wrapping up furniture because it was taking FOREVER. I ended up paying lots of extra charges, it took 2.5 hours longer than expected and they broke a few things and dented the wall in the new apartment. All this and we ended up doing a good deal of work! Ive heard of worst experiences but I certainly wouldnt recommend these guys. Not worth the money and not at the quality of service I have come to expect.

I used Charles Moving & Storage in February 2016 and had a great experience! The team I had was fantastic - very friendly and helpful. The move was painless! They arrived on time, wrapped all the furniture and nothing was broken or damaged. When we arrived at the new place, they moved the fridge that was in the kitchen to the garage and moved my fridge into the kitchen. They also took time to set up the bed and move a couple of things around for me. They did a great job and would highly recommend them again .

I used this moving company in August 2014. Some of my furniture was badly scratched and the file cabinet was destroyed. I finally received a check to replace the file cabinet, however, the furniture has not been repaired after two months of waiting. Their employees are very pleasant but service has been poor.
