In kitchen: removed border, re-plastered/repaired drywall after ceramic tile backsplash was removed (by owner), painted all walls with 2 coats of medium-premium grade Sherwin Williams paint in eggshell finish, painted ceiling with one coat Sherwin Williams bright white ceiling paint. In mud room: painted all walls with 2 coats of medium-premium grade Sherwin Williams paint in eggshell finish In foyer and upstairs hallway: hung chandelier replacement, painted all walls with 2 coats of medium-premium grade Sherwin Williams paint in eggshell finish In all areas: painted trim and (room-facing side of) doors with 1 coat of premium Sherwin Williams white trim paint; 2 coats in mud room It went exceptionally well! I myself am very detail oriented and found Dans attention to detail and his crews level of commitment to quality work and professionalism extremely relieving. They were meticulous not only in their work, but also in their preparation (daily and project-wise) and in their daily cleanup; beyond the fresh paint, the end of each day offered no evidence of them having been there. They also got along great with my dog (45 lb. beagle-lab mix), and he with them. They also did a complete and secure lock-up of our house when we were not there at the end of the day.

Ive had essentially every room in my house pained by Dan and his crew of highly skilled professional painters... These guys are not college students or people looking to make extra money. These are professional painters... Im a perfectionist and Im easily disappointment... but wow... theyre simply the best (and that it is not a term a use haphazardly). Always on time, efficient, clean, trustworthy... the list goes on. Very quickly after meeting Dan and his crew, I have had absolutely no reservation of given them the key to my house and having them work while Im out. His crew also goes above and beyond... consistently.... they even bring in packages that arrive to the house if Im not around. Also, if you need more than painting... Dan also has an excellent contractor. Lastly, Ive hired cheap before and then had to pay to have work done again... Dans prices are certainly not cheap... but hes also not the most expensive either... And in my experience, paying for a job done once correctly is considerably more cost effective than paying for a crappy job once and then paying to have it done again. Although I have not seen the work of every painter in Rochester... Im confident Golden Boys Painter has to be at the top! -Dan Brighton, NY

I’ve dealt with more than a few contractors over the years and found it mostly frustrating attempting to get a reliable person interested in relatively small jobs. On the times that I’ve been successful, most don’t show up when you expect, scribble an estimate on scrap, cut corners on the job, and make a quick escape with the cash. None of this applied to Golden Boys Painting! Dan Cavagnaro understood the issues with my deck from day one, visited my home on multiple occasions to discuss the options with me, and provided a professionally written estimate. The summer was rough in terms of rain and scheduling the work but Dan kept me informed of his schedule through email and showed up as promised. The work on my deck is now done and it looks beautiful. Tadd and Phil came out early as expected on a Saturday morning and paid attention to detail in covering lattice work, rails and floor until it looked just right. Ive hired a number of painters over the years, and the results ranged from "meh" to pretty bad. Until I found Golden Boys. You get personal expertise and , if you want, advice from the owner Dan Cavagnaro. His painters are all very well-trained, and are very focused on quality. I hired them for 2 porch deck + stairs last year, and this year for two bedrooms and a large living room. I do not recommend contractors lightly -- Im rarely so completely satisfied and confident that others will get good results (sometimes you just get lucky, not everyones standards are the same as mine), but with Golden Boys, I know youll be more than satisfied.
