WARNING! DO NOT go to this Post Office. If I could rate this Post Office zero stars, I would. Yes, they are that bad. Long wait time. No professionalism. Lack of knowledge. Constantly losing packages. Never answering the phones. Not willing to oblige or go above and beyond to help the paying customer. This has to be the worst Post Office in NYC. I would bet my house on it. They need a completely new staff. Service is unacceptable at this point. I will not stand by and allow this to happen. When I go to the Post Office in Garden City (Long Island) or Manhattan the service is considerably better. Why is that? Is it because Springfield Gardens is a predominantly black neighborhood and they dont care whether or not the service is good or bad? If this is not the reason, then what is? I have received nothing but horrible service from this location. Its so bad that Im willing to drive several miles out of my own neighborhood to go to another location. Its a location that should be either closed down or completely revamped.

If I can rate this negative I would. My grandmother put in a change of address 3 months. And still no mail. I went to the post office and someone said they saw the change of address in the system. So I said "wheres the mail". They didnt know. Said they would get back to me to no avail. My mother, grandmother and I, have tried to call the post office and its constantly busy. What, do they leave the phone off the hook , so they wont have to do their jobs. This is one of the worst post offices that Ive come across. The lines are constantly long because they only open 1 or 2 windows during the busiest times, which doesnt make any sense. Tried calling the main branch they cant help. So whats the purpose of the main branch if they cant talk to the other branches. Some overhaul really needs to be done with the Post Office. Thats why more people are using FedEx, UPS, DHL because the post office has gotten worse and worse over the years.

I am disgusted with this post office. If I had one good reason for moving out of this neighborhood it would be because of this post office. First lets start with the mailmen/ woman. When delivering my packages it always seems to be delivered to the wrong place. The excuse Im given is that I have the same address as a business on my block, mind you there is no busy on my block. Next is the post office itself: lines are long, only two windows open and the clerks are slow as heck. I tracked a package I was expecting and it stated that a service letter was left to pick up my package at the post office, absolutely no letter was left and when I went to the post office to pick up my package and after waiting on the line for 30 minutes, i am told it will be delivered that day. I can go on with more complaints but Ill stop here. This place and their workers need to get their act together!!!! TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!

I called this post office to do my children passport. I was told for passport they closed at 3. I was standing on that line since 2:15 pm. By the time I reached the clerk. She said for passport its over at 2. I said on the phone someone told me 3pm. Then she said wait for a manager. I waited until 3:30pm. Nobody show up. This woman sign off and someone else took over. They have no customer service skills in that post office. Customer service is very poor there. They should closed down that post office if they cannot provide efficient customer service. They are just collecting a paycheck. I feel bad for senior citizens that have to deal with those incompetent people.

Knock on wood. No issues getting mail. When I do go to the actual PO, staff helpful. Regarding staffing issues, the branch has little control over that. Request additional funding from your elected representative. Think of the last major snow storm. Certain areas, got cleaned well, others had a delay. The mayor decides where to deploy resources, please do not blame the sanitation worker. Another example during another snowstorm, the head of the fire department used firefighters to clear his driveway. So they were not available to fight fires. Please do not blame the firefighters. Time Saver - Buy postage online - Switch to ebilling All the Best.

This post office it seems hired a lot of their employees from the school of lack Customer Service skills and gave everybody a have an attitude certification. Went to inquire about picking up a package and the lady sucked her teeth then spoke to me like i was annoying her. On top of that waiting for a delivery is like waiting for the snow to fall every Christmas. The few times i dealt with this place was enough for me to go elsewhere and when my package ends up there i dread having to walk in to get it. Careful going here or just dont expect to much as far as a smile or friendly demeanor. If you get it be thankful it rarely happens.

Im giving this zero stars because its very unprofessional postal Service , they supposed to provide help to the customers, not disrespect them, this place by far is the worst post office in Queens, very very very unprofessional unacceptable, I hope that people speak out and that they get new management , this is a place of professional and business, and the fact that you treat customers disrespectfully is unacceptable, The females that hang up on customers are extremely unprofessional and disrespectful and should not be working there ,postal services is supposed to be held in and higher standard .

This post office is horrible. I went online to try to intercept a package to have it sent to a new address. Finally got that done and called the post office to confirm. The guy was very impatient. Said he just opened the store and had to get settled. Gave the guy all the details and he said he would call me back. I tried to called multiple time after the start of normal hours and they refuse to answer the phone. Waste of time as the package did not get intercepted and is now out for delivery. Extremely disappointed.

i HAVE LIVED IN THIS AREA FOR 18 YEARS THERE HAS ALWAYS BEEN A PROBLEM WITH THE MAIL DELIVERY SOMETIMES THE MAILMAN WOULD DELIVER SOME HOUSES AND NOT OTHERS AND A FEW TIMES THE MAILMAIL WAS DELIVERING MAIL AT 6:30 AT NIGHT. The substitute mailcarrier doesnt look at the names on the mailbox -all of my mail has been going to my upstairs neighbor and i am getting my bills 2 and 3 weeks later. i HAVE A STICKER WITH THE NAMES OF EVERYONE IN MY HOME AND MY MAIL STILL ISNT COMING DIRECTLY TO ME. Typical low level of bureaucratic combination of incompetence and lack of accountability. I had asked for my mail to be forwarded, they forwarded the mail, but still delivered flyers, and "junk" mail. As a result the mail was still piling up in front of the house. Thank goodness that the neighbors had the ability to pick up the accumulated mail. They get two stars because the did continue the forwarding of the valid mail. That they did get right, which is appreciated.

Went to renew my passport. Hours are 9:30 - 12:00. Got there at 10:00am and was told they already had 2 people ahead of me and the person is going on break after that and I should come back at 11:00 or go to another location.. Really? After seeing 2 people he needs a break and then closes at 12? I cant begin to imagine what would happen if he has to work 3 hours straight, I will never set foot in that Post Office again. So much for serving your community.
