Saturday morning I arrive at post office 8:56am. Doors opened 5 minutes late. I am 3rd person in line. To see the one girl at the counter. 1st person has a few large packages. Second man has 15-20 media packages as those are being completed the customer goes out to car and brings in about another 15 or more packages which are not media. Girl at counter doesnt call for help as the line grew to more then 10 people. No supervisor comes to look at line maybe they looked at the cameras and decided to ignore the huge line of customers. They have plenty of cameras. As the 2nd mans postage is being completed. A woman comes slowly from the back and then goes away for 5 minutes. She slowly comes back with a nice striped shirt and begins to sign into the computer after putting on her latex gloves and a bit of chatting with the other girl at the counter. Yaay its my turn I go up and say hello and I pay my $1.82 postage for my package and walk out at 9:19am. Good customer service? You tell me. It sure didnt feel like it.

This post office is absolutely horrible!!! I have always heard friends and family telling me stories about them losing their mail and packages, and being of no help when asking questions. now we have experienced it for ourselves!!! we had a very important certified letter that they attempted to deliver. we werent home,and when we went to go pick it up, we were told it wasnt there. Judy told us that if it is ever found, it will be sent back to the sender. how is that supposed to make us feel good knowing that a ver important piece of mail was being taken as a joke! This is by far the worst post office ever!!! They have a pattern of mistakes, and should not be in business with their history! and I was just told on the phone that they have to "look for it" They are very unprofessional and irresponsible! I will never trust in them to mail anything anymore!!!! The New Hyde Park location has never once lost my sisters mail or packages, so I will be going there now!

Theyre lucky they cant get a ZERO. Whoever the female supervisor who refused to give me her name, was unbelievably rude involving herself into a conversation between a manager and I. Her response was to "go chill" and wait for Sam (the only person in the building who can process passports) to return from his meal. Meanwhile, our appointment was for 1:30 and it was close to approaching 2pm. Worst Post Office & highly unprofessional supervisor claiming its a COURTESY that wed be seen considering we needed a simple photocopy that we made at the local library not even a block away. NOT recommended.

We brought out 2 months baby there to apply US passport. Our appointment was at 11am, but there was a guy in front us and took almost 30 minutes to got his things done. And we found us forgot to bring the photos and my husband just took 10 minutes to take the photo from home and come back. However, the women who suppose to help us, she refuse to just wait us for only 10 minutes. Even they saw we brought a 2 months baby here. And also the manager told her should not serve us, cuz we were late. They were with attitudes and ridiculous. And they are here not for helping people.

I am 80 yrs old and the carriers at my building insist on parking their mail truck on the public road making it almost impossible for me to park my car in my parking space. These people are rude and lazy. There are plenty of parking spaces available to them. They are just too lazy to walk the additional 100 feet. I have confronted them and just get smart answers from them and the so called supervisor.......Hard to believe that this is a Federal Government facility......

I have been calling this office for 5 hours now and no one pick-up the phone! What a load of BS! Your a post office answer your phone! If I have to drive there now, man am I going to make a scene! This happens everytime I have ever called this branch. I recommend the Glen Oaks branch. ZERO RATING!

Unfortunately, I have to agree with most of the negative comments here. Thats why I usually go to another towns P.O.. Better yet, I try to do my business by email or websites avoiding the "difficulties" with this P.O.
