I live in Far Rockaway, but I cant bring myself to go to my local post office because of its maximum security prison-like feel. At Lawrence, youre treated like a person, not an inmate, and dont have to deal with the whole plexiglass thing. Not only that, but the clerks are very helpful and seem genuinely happy to see you! I wish they were open a little later (I work in Brooklyn and get off at 4 so its a mad-dash to get there before closing time at 5), but you cant beat the service. Even when theres a line, youre in and out in 10 minutes. Truly exceptional.

Very friendly staff. Professional and courteous towards the customers. A far cry from the Far Rockaway Mott Ave location. Did my passport there by appointment. I was in and out in 15 mins.
