Ok...I was wondering if I and my immediate neighbors were the ONLY ones having problems with this post office, and now I can see, by reading these posted reviews, that, in fact, we are NOT alone in our misgivings about the service received, I am very sorry to say. I worked as a federal employee at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point for TWENTY YEARS...I worked in the post office there, amongst other jobs, and I can MOST CERTAINLY vouch for the fact that the Post Office is no joke - it is, for the most part, a horrible place to work....it is a ridiculously tough job, where you work your ass off for people who are working their asses off and there is absolutely no reward given no matter how hard you work. It is a thankless job - a constant stream of repetetive, menial tasks that NEVER END, so you never actually ever FINISH your work, therefore one cannot even reap the benefits of feeling any PERSONAL reward for a job well done. Hmmm...NEVER-ENDING STRESS + CONSTANT CRITICISM + "ZERO BENEFITS" = SERIOUSLY FRUSTRATED & DISGUSTED EMPLOYEE WITH NO LIGHT AT THE END OF THEIR TUNNEL....There is a reason that they say that people go "Postal", LEMME TELL YA, & its a DAMNED good one!! OK...NOW, THAT BEING SAID, WTF IS GOING ON AT THIS PARTICULAR POST OFFICE?? I would really like to know...Now, dont get me wrong - there ARE some people that work there who actually DO give a crap about their work; my regular carrier himself is one & he is PHENOMENAL - (Although he IS a retired Marine, so Im sure that has something to do with it...Semper Fi!) But, unfortunately, except for the select few who actually DO exude some measure of self-respect, overall I would have to agree with the reviews & reviewers posted here...every time there is a substitute carrier, there is, without exception, a problem with the mail. One sub carrier even went so far as to put a mixture of my and TWO (yes, count em - TWO) other families mail into my mailbox at the front door, then came around to my back door, where he opened up both my screen door and the MAIN door, & proceeded to toss another neighbors mail onto my kitchen floor!! He scared the bejesus out of me & my roommate, and THEN had the friggin GALL to give ME an attitude when I went out after him to give him both the mail AND directions to its rightful home, as well as to ask him WTF he was doing opening up my doors like that & tossing mail onto the flippin floor!!? This is just one of the MANY problems I have encountered in the 7 years I have been living here. And I have to say, as a fellow Government employee, that if I were to see such a consistent stream of negative reviews posting about MY work, you can be DAMNED SURE I would be doing SOMETHING about it!!! And we wonder why Government workers get such a bad rap? This is shameful & I am thoroughly surprised that no one in charge has taken any steps to correct ANY of this. They should visit the post office at West Point & take a lesson from them. I guess they spoiled me there...the service is awesome.

I didnt realized I walked in after hour because door was still open and people standing on line but there was a barrier saying they are not accepting anymore people. Ok. I saw people still working and I was gonna just heading over to them to drop off package because I wasnt sure when they are going to mail my package out if I dropped it off in mailbox in post office. So i just wanted to go straight over to the worker and just hand the package over to them and leave! and There was a very depressed looking guy who stopped me from walking over to drop it off and talking to me in real bad manner instead of talking nice and explain something to me. He started to raise his voice and so I did. He started to grab my package away and I stopped him from grabbing it. I am sorry I walked in that post office. Damn! I will stay far far away from this post office. The guy who stopped me didnt even look like he was working there. I asked if he was then he said yes. I never had any experience like this. All other post office usually just take the package and i say " Thank you". This Post Office have sad depressed people or just plain rude people working here. Stay far away from this place.

I received a green card that I had a certified mail letter at the Post Office on 4/6. Since, we HAVE to work for a living and the post office has no convenient "evening" hours and are only open until 2PM on Saturday, I had to sign the form and have the carrier bring it. The directions say to sign on the left side of the card if you want the letter delivered. I did that and returned it to the mailbox. The next day I got the same card back with a circle around the X in the middle of the card. The directions DID NOT say to sign there. I signed there but didnt return it to the mailbox until 4/15. On 4/19, I realized I never got the letter back so I called the post office and asked - "I dont know" was the answer and it could be delivered but someone would have to be home....here we go again. I asked why it hadnt been delivered since I put the card signed in the mailbox - "I dont know" - shouldve been I dont care. Took an hour off from work, went in and again asked why it wasnt delivered and the question was ignored. Im working a temporary job - would love a permanent job like that - I guarantee I would care.

The mailman who replaces my regular mail delivery man is the worst ever!! He came to the office and instead of coming in to give the mail to me (Im about 4 steps from the door) he puts it on one of our cabinets and pulls the door to close it. The door cannot close because the mail he plopped on the cabinet is blocking the door. He shoves his arm through the small opening and pushes the mail in...Great job a**hole. Someone pushed the door in and all the mail scattered to the floor just because this idiot is too busy/lazy/tired or whatever his reasoning is to hand me the mail to avoid all that including this bad review. Doesnt even deserve one star!!

Worst mail delivery in existence. Mail is delivered; if delivered at all, late- after 6pm. I receive other peoples mail and I end up delivering it to the appropriate addresses. God only knows how much of my mail is delivered elsewhere. My mail has also been left on my stoop instead of being dropped in my mailbox. I have called the post office to complain and have gotten nowhere after speaking to the supposed delivery supervisor. This post office is totally incompetent, lack customer service, places all of the residents of our community at risk for identity theft, and should either be closed or purge the incompetent workers that work there.

Ive never reviewed a post office before but I came online to double-check the hours and was so surprised by all the negative reviews I found. I have always had a great experience at this location and my postal carrier at home is so nice. Plus he always rings my bell if there is something too big for my mail slot. Even when the mail is just inside the door (not a package on the porch) - this is something FedEx and UPS never do. They just leave the package on the porch, no doorbell. Sometimes there is a line at the post office if I come at a bad time ("lunch" or closing) but everyone is always friendly and efficient.
