Poorly trained staff without an eye to detail. I signed up for a Planet Fitness Black membership under the understanding that the membership would provide equal privileges at all locations. Although employee confirmed this notion he failed to disclose that it would only be good for 10 visits, even though I made it clear that my stay in Poughkeepsie would be very limited and I was more interested in city-use. The only place I found this disclosed was on a sheet of paper he provided in a plastic bag after taking my personal bank and credit card information. When I called Wappingers Falls Planet Fitness to address this issue I was informed that not only was this not fixable on their end (despite their lack of organizational oversight over what employees say), but also refused to refund the $7 and change that I was charged a prorated amount as a sign of good will. Their junior employee, when confronted with this over the phone replied curtly, “I’ll have to speak with a manager,” and instead responded that there would be no remedy to this issue other than to cancel my membership. Clearly their professionalism is as lacking as their attention to their own regulations. Despite this, the gym facility is very nice, but – as was my experience in the previous evenings – staffed by the inattentive and, at times, willingly disengaged employees.

The gym is "ok" for only $10 a month but it needs updating badly! The past 4-5 times I went there, I had to move to 6 different elliptical machines before I found one where the TV even turned on. Most TVs are either very fuzzy and blurry or dont work at all. One of the remotes even fell off the velcro and onto the floor. When I finally found a tv that had a halfway decent picture, the audio didnt work correctly through my headphones. One of them had no sound at all, the other one was way too staticky the other one had to be turned up to the max volume only to struggle to hear it. (please note that my headphones are fine and work with any other device Ive tried). Very frustrating when you only have a certain amount of time to work out and part of that time is spent trying to find a machine that works properly! I dont always like to listen to my ipod when I work out. Id like to watch a show and helps my workout go faster. If youre going to have tvs on every machine, shouldnt you make sure they work properly?? It makes the gym feel run down and dumpy.

Do to personal reasons never went. Wanted to transfer membership to son they changed policy so couldnt do that. One month before my year membership was over I went there to make sure it did not get renewed. Was told too early to come back next month on the 11th or 12th to cancel or just send registered lletter. I could not leave written notice that day because the had no way of keeping it on file. Went back on the 12th and was told my membership would be canceled but I would be charged for another month. I explained I was here last month and told it was too early and told to come in now. Didnt matter. People first do not give them your checking account. Debit card only. As far as I am concerned none of them know the correct information and they are not honorable. There are so many gyms in the area that offer more its not worth the headache to joint Planet Fitness. I was mislead and ripped off!

So Ive went here about 5 times and its probably the worst gym Ive been to, I signed up and everything and the second to last time I went I brought a guest and they asked for his number and then I went again 2 days later and brought a guest again and a employee said I couldnt bring a guest because the account was under my fathers name and it was his membership but I brought a guest two times previous to the last time and no problems so we went and the guy was giving us a problem and started a argument because he was "cursed at" and it wasnt even directed towards him and he called us immature and we were very disrespected with the lack of respect this person has and for causing a scene. This gym needs a new manager and some new workers. DO NOT GO HERE.

I wanted to bring my sons with me to get them into fitness. While they are old enough to get in the girl at the front refuses to except birth certificates as a form of identification. She expects a fourteen and fifteen year old to have photo identification. I find it hilarious that I can get them on an airplane and into a foreign country on a cruise boat with a birth certificate but not a sub par gym. Called two other franchises and they both said no problem but the girl at the front of this club who will not let me speak with a manager obviously has very strict standards beyond her pay grade, aint nothing getting by her! Will not be returning to this location a few of the employees have bad attitudes.

Rude and untrained staff. There is a definite need for training with customers. The manager and assistant manager, Alyssa and Justin were very inappropriate and targeted a paying customer with hostility. They demanded credit card information for an already paid-up member and refused to show documentation which required this information. I believe it was phishing for fraudulent credit card use. A Better Business Bureau case has been opened for this incident. No need to use this gym; there are way better ones both 3 miles north and south of this gym with same pricing, friendly and knowledgeable staff, more equipment and amenities. (And where you can dead lift.)

Pretty sad I have been waiting three months to get my refund from planet fitness in Wappingers falls!!! The manager has no responsibility what so ever! I have left my number with this guy Bryan so many times and she dont call back. I ask for a supervisor and Im told no we dont give out that information!!!! Wtf !!! The manager needs to step down and let a real manager step in!! 3 months and counting w no refund of money they took out of my account after canceling 6 months ago!! They had no problem taking money after account was closed w a doctor note!! SHAME ON YOU PLANET FITNESS OF WAPPINGERS FALLS

The worst location in Hudson Valley! Looks like management believes they are running a prison, not Planet Fitness franchise. I would recommend entire staff to go trough basic customer service training, safety/liability training and also brand compliance class, since none of them really knows or understands what Planet Fitness brand stands for. Their practice of selective policies application is simply discriminatory and illegal. Lack of scanner at the front desk wouldnt be so much of a problem for guests from other locations if staff tried to be a bit more polite while barking at customers.

Nice gym, good people, good atmosphere but then it changed! No more music on the work out machines just individual TVs - ever work a step machine to Channel 5 news? Cmon, PF even has its own radio station - well GET IT BACK INTO THE WORKOUT MACHINES, I wanna sweat more and take my spirits higher - guess Ill have to get an IPOD after all! D.Leon
