I became a client of Smooth Solutions Medical Aesthetics 9 months ago. Within the first 3 months I received a huge increase in my quality of life. I had a total hysterectomy at age 33 due to a cancer scare. After that I was completely unprepared for what changes my body would go through. I was experiencing all symptoms of menopause with severe intensity. I was having strong hot flashes several times an hour, every day all day, I was not sleeping well, night sweats, hair loss, having panic attacks, feeling stressed all the time, the mood swings I experienced would take me from sad/depressed and crying to intense anger and rage within minutes. My brain frequently felt "foggy", I had trouble getting my thoughts out and remembering things. On top of all that I began experiencing incontinence at an increasing rate. Not only has Dr. Jack Bertolino provided me the hormone therapy that I desperately needed but he has also been a wealth of knowledge. He has gone out of his way to educate me on what my body needs and why. I have been on BHRT with Dr. Bertolino for 8 months and I feel AMAZING. I have found relief from every symptom I was experiencing. I am sleeping better, I no longer have panic attacks, hot flashes, night sweats are gone, my mood swings have leveled out, my hair is growing back and my mind feels clear again. In addition to BHRT, I received 3 treatments of Thermiva. The Thermiva procedure as resolved my issues with incontinence and intimacy. After the very first treatment my incontinence stopped. I no longer have to worry every time I laugh or cough etc. Even better than that, my sexual intimacy with my husband has been restored. I am no longer dry, but have come back to a place of natural moisture. My sex drive is back and we are experiencing the best sex we have ever had. Better sleep, improved energy, increased physical strength, mental and emotional stability - are just a few of the important reasons I decided to start bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. My exhaustive search to find a physician led me to Dr. Jack Bertolino (November 2012). I loved our first visit, we just sat and talked. I dumped my concerns on him, loaded him with endless questions, and in particular talked about something of serious concern to me - bone loss. After this very productive, informative consultation and some blood work I decided this was they way to go. Dr. Bertolino regularly reviews my blood work and tailors BHRT according to my needs. There is a wealth of published information on the benefits of BHRT, including a white paper on Dr. Bertolinos website that explains exactly how BHRT works. I felt greatly reassured and positive after reading this important journal article. I was thrilled to discover Dr. Bertolino in 2013 when I walked into his office for the first time to get Laser Hair Removal. I had been looking for someone in the Buffalo area that did Bio-identical hormones and after my first consultation I knew he was the doctor for me. His many years of medical knowledge together with his belief that hormones play such an important role in fixing the underlying issues we all suffer as we age was so refreshing to hear. I received incredible results! The transformation that my body had after the liposelection procedure with Dr. Bertolino was beyond what I ever imagined. He is a gifted and knowledgeable doctor who must be, in my opinion, one of the best at this procedure. After researching other doctors results online I was confident putting my trust in him. He truly listened to what I wanted, gave me a realistic picture of what to expect, and followed up on my satisfaction with the outcome. He was excellent at explaining the procedure thoroughly and documenting the results for me to see with a series of pictures throughout the process. I had my High Definition Liposculpture done about 6 months ago. True to Dr. Bertolinos word, after 5 months, the results were better than expected. I had wanted to target my upper and lower abdomen as well as saddle bag area. These proved tough to conquer even though I work out regularly and in general eat healthy. I have 3 kids who are now grown and these areas always bothered me because I couldnt get rid of them in spite of an "above average" workout regiment. The procedure was explained to me in detail by Dr. Bertolino and I watched the video as instructed, because it is a "low risk" procedure I decided to proceed. I liked the fact that there was no general anesthesia and the downtime was minimal. I had soreness for about 5 days after the procedure but nothing I couldnt handle with Motrin. I will admit the results take time to see because of the swelling so you need to be patient. I couldnt be happier with my results. I dont have a new body, I have an improved body. The procedure has really motivated me to continue to work out and eat well and now I can actually see the results I have always wanted. Dr. Bertolino was very honest about what results could be accepted and I appreciated that.
