We began searching for a home in Asheville a year before we finally found one that fit our needs. Though we had an initial showing with a different agent, we decided , based on previous reviewers comments, to contact Mike Figura to show us around town. As avid Amazon shoppers and Trip Advisor groupies, we believe strongly in the power of consumer reviews. We also understand that everyone has his/her opinion and can express it in a subjective or objective way. We try to exercise caution when purchasing a product or trying a hotel or restaurant based solely on positive or negative reviews, but as you will note, Mike’s reviews are consistently positive and strong. Being from out of state, this increased our confidence in Mike’s abilities and also gave us a pretty comprehensive overview of his work ethic and demeanor. From the first phone call, Mike was friendly, professional and enthusiastic to help us find the perfect house to call home. He took the time to share a meal with us to better understand who we are and what matters to us, not just in a home, but in life. We began seeing homes together in January 2013. When Mike had a conflict, he enlisted the help of his real estate team to accommodate our schedule, as we were only able to view homes on weekends in the beginning. We quickly learned that the market in Asheville is robust and fast-paced. (Potential out-of-state buyers, please note . . . if you find a house that you like, don’t think twice. Make an offer . . . your highest and best!) Mike kept us in the loop on new listings via his on-line portal and sent us updates as new, suitable properties popped up in the MLS. On numerous occasions, we called him up on short notice to schedule a listing for the next, or even same, day. He was always available to help us and very prompt in responding to calls, emails and text messages. After a year and at least a few dozen viewings, we finally closed on a home. Mike’s professional advice and patience were consistent throughout our search. Not only did we find the perfect property for our needs, we also found a new friend in Mike.

I have worked in the Real Estate business for 15 years in the US and Asia. I can say that Mike is the best real estate broker I have ever dealt with in my career. He is honest, professional, friendly, enthusiastic and patient. What is very important is that he shoots straight. He will tell you if a property is not suitable or if the price is too high. I continue to work with Mike as we expand our business in Asheville and am sure we will maintain a long and fruitful relationship. I have been buying and selling properties for over 40 years. I have had the good fortune to have had more positive experience than not. Our recent purchase was of our retirement home - the home we will spend the rest of our lives enjoying. We planned everything just as we had before and were in for an interesting surprise: our lender was holding up our proceeds for closing. Based on their promise, three trucks and a large trailer were loaded at our previous home and we all headed to our new home in Asheville, NC. Loved working with Mike. We first connected by phone & felt he would be a good match in helping us find a home in Asheville. We were moving from out of state & werent able to make but two trips down. Our first trip we spent about a day and a half with Mike looking at homes. He asked a lot of questions to really help understand what we were looking for in a home. He seems to be very plugged into the community and we learned a lot about Asheville from him. That knowledge helped us narrow down to the neighborhood we wanted to be in. We then kept in touch by phone & email as houses came on the market. Mike was always good about staying in contact with us. Once we made an offer on a home, and an older home at that, Mikes expertise was extremely helpful in negotiating after the initial inspection report.
