So here is the deal. For the past 4-5 years I have had multiple roofing contractors out to my house for repairs - the same repair. A flashing boot around a vent on the roof. The contrator who installed the roof said the leak was caused by the ridge vent being clogged (said it was condensation). Told me it was a maintenance issue and left. The second contractor I called out to check for a leak said it was the vent pipe, not sealed properly, and "tard" it. The third roofing contractor I had out said my entire roof needed replaced and he could convince my insurance company to pay for it. The fourth roofing contractor said my roof was compromised by all the tree branches and leaks. At that point I called my insurance company and they sent a roofing contractor. THEIR roofing contractor said that there was no damage to my roof to support a leak and so therefore, no claim. With the rain we were experiencing last night and today, a deluge of water was running down the interior of my kitchen cabinets. I called about a dozen roofing companies this morning, all whom had automated services and NONE of them called me back. Then I found Your Local Roofing Company on Google early this afternoon. Not only did Charles answer the phone, but when he found out I had to be out of town the next couple of days he went out of his way to come help me out. He said he would be here within the next two hours, and he was. Charles and his helper took photos of the cause; 1) a leaking pipe boot, where the shingles were improperly installed to begin with, and where the boot wasnt properly sealed, or re-sealed when repaired (see tard comment above). 2) a second area where water was penetrating the roof system due to one of the contractors or inspectors ripping up shingles to check. Charles showed me photos of the issues and explained to me what he would do to fix it, causes, etc., and what to expect if the leaks re-occur (at the pipe boot). I okd the repair and within a half an hour they were done. As many bad experiences Ive had with residentail contractors, Im telling you, this company is a diamond in the rough. Thank you Charles and team. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate you making me a priority, not to mention the good, fast, and honest work. I will recommend you to everyone I know.

I couldnt have been more pleased with my experience with Charles and his guys. I gave him a chance from all the good reviews on here and I was not disappointed. My roof needed a lot of work and had hail damage on top of it. There was a big leak in my roof and Charles immediately came out to cover it up with a tarp. He was very helpful every step of the way, including the walkthrough with the insurance adjuster. Everything was up front with him, which is good because no one likes surprises. During the installation of the new roof, I asked him to do some extra things since he was already up there thinking it would cost me a little extra but it didnt. Just shows you how he conducts business and that hes honest guy. Overall, I highly recommend Your Local Roofing Company for all your roofing needs.

We have used Charles at Your Local Roofing Company twice now. In both instances, we were very impressed with his concern, quality of work, and price. In the first instance, he was able to diagnose the problem in minutes, explain why it was happening, and fix it immediately. In the second instance, our upstairs porch roof had not been properly installed, and he was very patient when I had many questions about why the problem was occurring. Both times he was very easy to work with: flexible, prompt, and thorough! He even used his leaf blower to get the leaves off the roof, which was a pleasant surprise. We would definitely recommend him to anyone needing roof work, and we will absolutely use him again should we need a roof guy.

Charles put a new roof on my house last summer and did a fantastic job! He was nothing like some typical contractors, he was at my house when he said he would be, was meticulous with the job and when he was finished I would not have know he was there as everything was cleaned up and left spotless. I had to call him last week about a shingle that fell off the roof of my detached garage (which he has NOT replaced yet, because it is only 13 years old) and he responded ASAP about when he could come out to see it. He came out and FIXED my roof when I was out of town and it was "on the house" !!! You will not be disappointed with Your Local Roofing Company and Charles Goss! Give him a call!! Charles Goss came to inspect the roof of our newly purchased home in Sun City, Charlotte, over a year ago. He was obviously very knowledgeable and took the time to explain various needs and the best/cost-effective approach to solving them. He could have easily convinced us to purchase much more expensive solutions that would have made him more money but he didnt. This was especially impressive since we had had the house/roof inspected earlier by someone else before purchasing the house and the earlier inspector made more extensive and expensive suggestions for improvement. Charles was prompt with both providing an estimate and the actual repair work that was done. He provided a detailed description and even showed me what was causing the dip in my roof. During the estimate Charles stated verbally what repair work would be done and with what materials. On the day of the repair, Charles arrived on time and went straight to the repair. He even showed me during the repair exactly what he was doing and the materials he was using. I would recommend everyone to use Your Local Roofing Company for any roofing replacements or repairs. Charles and his crew came by to check out a leak into my attic after recent heavy rain. He took numerous photos to show me problem areas left behind by roofers from before we purchased our house. Unfortunately, the issue went deeper into the roof than first spotted. Charles came out last minute on Memorial Day to redo the shingles and flashing on our roof to fully seal it up before the expected rain coming this week. I was extremely worried about our roof continuing to leak, but Charles and his crew did an excellent job for a fair price. I was very pleased with the roof that was just put on by Your Local Roofing Company. There were so many roofing contractors knocking on my door to try to get the chance to put my roof on. There was a hail storm last year that caused a lot of damage in my neighborhood. To say the least it was overwhelming.
