With service and responsibility like the post office of this area, you have to ask yourself "How did it get this bad?" The PostMaster providing poor customer service; the parcel service miss delivering, reshipping, losing, damaging packages; not taking responsibility or refunding shipping fees...its as though their actions go unchecked or reprimanded and they know it. They can simply throw your package away and nothing would happen. The Post Master is a prime example of a failing manager. When its one or few employees causing problems its the employees, when its several failures the responsibility falls on the management and you can see it in his eyes that he just doesnt care. You can see it in the employees actions that they can do whatever they want and there isnt a penalty. Its a shame that a once well respected service has turned into the sad excuse it currently is. Its time to step down, sir. Youve done enough.

On multiple occasions have i had to pick up my packages that were supposed to be delivered by their carriers do to the fact theyr are to lazy to bring them to the door, but this cuts the cake. We have failed to receive 2 certified letters from my husbands job thay needed to be signed for and there were no tickets posted on the door or in the mail box saying that they have missed us. I stay at home with our children so there is no excuse for it. Due to the negligence of the mail carriers it about cost my husband his job and we are absolutely furious. Please hire people who are capable of doing their jobs so we can receive our important mail!!!!!

The substitute carrier delv my pkg to another address and when I talk to her, she said she didnt know where she left it. I cant file a claim because I didnt put insurance on it. If I had known the carrier would leave my package somewhere else, I would have put insurance on it. Some of the employees and the supv are rude and very unprofessional. They dont care about where they leave the packages. If you are going to ship, do not ship USPS. If you do ship USPS during the holidays, please get insurance because the substitute carriers will deliver your packages elsewhere.

I would give USPS less than 1 star if that was an option. This place is a joke. I sent out very important documents & they lost it. I keep reaching out to them asking where my package is, but Im always on hold for 1+ hours & was hung up on after waiting 45+ minutes. When I do get ahold of someone, the lady wouldnt answer my questions, instead she took down my information & gave me a case number, but still wont tell me where my package is. I didnt even get a tracking # prior to sending out my mail so I have no way to figure out where my package is.

Mail service in this area is pathetic. I had never lived anywhere when they did not understand to deliver packages to rear deck door. Always...and I mean ALWAYS...when told many of times and its even in the address to leave near rear deck door, carrier still leaves near front door, consequently is actually further than the requested location. Really? How difficult is this?

I cannot believe that the mail carrier allows for people to get into my locked mailbox and put flyers and letters that are not stamped mail. I reported this to the investigation unit and they are handling it. The worst mail service ever. I miss my old USPS office in Kitty Hawk, NC. They are very careful and do not do things unethical or illegal.

The most ridiculous delivery service in the nation. Carriers and staff do not deserve the pay they receive. I am ashamed that this is a federal organization. They are late the majority of the time, enter false delivery info, items are not tracked correctly if at all. The postmaster and entire staff need replacing asap.

They lost 8 packages in four months. 7 of them with tracking number. It shows out for delivery and then "delivery status not updated" I went to the post office and called several times wasting a lot of time. And all packets got lost from Elizabeth city post office to my home 3 minutes away

I would give it a zero if i could. Ive missed two packages in a row. Both times i got a notice saying they missed me but i was home. Strange. Nobody rang the doorbell or knocked. I just want my mail delivered. If they cant handle that they need new employees.

Terrible post office and carrier. Packages are thrown at the end of my driveway if they arent lost. Packages crushed, opened, or lost. Numerous complaints in and no help at all. Post master is absolutely no help and covers for them.

Born and raised here. Mail service always has been bad. We get our mail at 7 p.m. Mail is always opened. When you complain online nothing ever happens. Lived in other parts of the country and mail delivery was never this bad.
