Truly a struggle trying to pick up or find out about your mail from here. I moved to Virginia December 29th. I did a hold mail card because they told me that they had to cut the keys for my mail box. I had all my mail forwarded from Georgia so I knew that I should have plenty of mail. A week later I went to check my mail and was informed that I did not have any and that there was no hold mail card for me. I then filled out another card and stated that I would come back. January 8th I went back to the Centerville location only to be told the same thing. I had no mail and they could not find the hold card. My keys also still had nnot been made.The woman there explained that they might have been putting it in the wrong box or something. Not really what you should tell someone about their personal belongings. I filled out another hold card and the lady took my number. She called me later that night and said that they had tracked down my mail and I could pick it up the next morning. The following week I went to check my mail. No keys and no mail. I was expecting packages that were not there. Later in the week a neighbor came by to give me two packages that had been delivered to him. My address is 5301 hos was 1601 the package clearly said 5301. Finally got my mailbox keys the 5th of Feb and not because they called me but I just happened to go up there. I had been expecting a lackage that tracking said was delivered at 1:09 Feb 8th it is 4:09 Feb 12th and I still have not received this package. They states it was scanned by the carrier in the vicinity of my home and left at the door. Also that it is my word against the carriers so my best option at this point is to file a claim. Now I have to get a P.O. Box and hope that at least with it being at the post office they wont be able to lose my mail!

I am so sick of dealing with these lazy mail carriers, Apparently our apartment complex has been assigned a new mail carrier in the Tallwood area and he lies about delivering packages. There have been 2 occasions he stated no one was home to deliver our packages. He does not leave a note, but updates his notes in whatever system he has to log his work stating no one home. Here is the thing; there is ALWAYS someone home, because my mother is retired with disabilities and does not drive, so she is HOME EVERYDAY. So when his makes a reference note saying "customer not home" it is a BIG BALD FACE LIE. If you dont want to do your job, QUIT, so they can hire someone who wants to work. I knew it was a reason behind not receiving all of our mail over the last 5 mos. I hope he gets investigated for not delivering mail, he needs a stiff penalty too, for lying and not doing his job. Too many people count on the US Postal Service for efficient and consistent mail delivery. That is all...... Signed, Very disappointed US postal customer.

Just moved into an apartment and filled out a hold mail form. About 4 weeks ago I got the mail box key from the location on kempsville but was told to go to the Centerville location to pick up my mail that is being held. Went there and waited 25 minutes before anyone came out and not only that the women claimed she was the only one there, yet there was about 15 cars in the employee parking lot. When I was finally called up she said she couldnt find my mail. And when they receive any of it they will send it to address. Have yet to recieve any bills or mail and everytime I call the phone is busy and my work schedule interferes with their hours of operations. Getting real tired of battling and about to hire an attorney because any late feea or bills that im going to be held responsible for will be their problem for being unorganized.

If I could give them a negative rating, I would. My daughter moved here and was told she would not get her mail until they put a new lock on her box in her neighborhood. She has gone to the post office only to be told they have no mail for her. She is in the Navy and now has hours that prevent her from getting to the post office during the hours of 10 and 4. What working person CAN get there during those times. Several calls have been made but they do not answer their phone.

My carrier works through here. I have filled multiple complaints via USPS and spoken with the carriers manager (who assured me each time the issue would be corrected) in regards to my mail not being delivered. Again this week yet another item marked undeliverable (YET AGAIN I recieved a text that it couldnt be delivered while I was in my home waiting on it to be delivered) that I will have to go pick up because this lazy carrier wont get out of the truck and do his/her job.

Biggest Piece of **** around. Received notification that a package was delivered and left in my mailbox and there is nothing there. I have tried to call them 20 times today and EVERYTIME the phone is busy. What business doesnt have a call acceptance system that allows you to get in line and at least put on hold to wait your turn? No wonder the USPS is a failing company while UPS and FEDEX are thriving.

Worst customer service ever. Ive heard of detainees in Gtmo receiving better treatment. Not to mention its 25 degrees outside and its 15 minutes passed the scheduled opening time and the doors are locked. The lady inside was unable to answer any questions with any certainty . Just a bunch should and might be delivered maybe today or Monday or whenever.

My parents have been staying with me and they havent received mail for almost a month. They paid over $100 and not one thing has showed up. Ive called the cent over a dozen times and its been buys every time. And their website isnt up either. What the Heck?? They are close to 80 and they also need their medicine thats been sent.

I called the Acredale Post Office because I was unable to get in touch with the Witchduck Station. The lady on the phone was very polite and eager to help me. She was so polite and explained everything that could have happened. I was very upset and she calmed me right now and educated me on how to handle the situation.

I can see why this place has the stars it does Ive been waiting on an important package since last week. There number comes up busy , and usps keeps sending me to them. This is poor management , I just need my package and cannot see why they are so bad at delivery mail, which has been their job since 1971!

I just received an empty box. The items shipped in the box are missing. The empty box arrived inside a clear plastic USPS envelope with a apology notice attached stating that USPS regrets the damaged condition of the parcel. There was no mention in the notice of the box been empty. Now what?!
