Just let me start by saying that "ALL" Two Men and a Truck locations are created equal. I have used Two Men and a Truck ( Durham and Greensboro locations) several times for different moves and was generally satisfied with the results. This last moves was completed by the Patterson Street location. My items were placed in the storage facility stored at the Patterson Street warehouse as I had moved out of stated and didnt need to bring along my household items. I contacted the office to set up to have my belongings moved from their storage to a different location and spoke with a member of the office staff named, Tammy. She was able to get me set up with the date and time of when the movers would deliver my items to my new location. On the morning of the move, there was no truck. I contacted the office and was given a story that the movers were moving someone else and would be at my location between 12-12:30 PM. I explained that I was in town from Northern Virginia and was given a 10 AM meeting time. I was told that I was given a window of when the delivery would be made and not a definite time. I explained that I was told that the items would be packed the night before and delivered the following morning at 10 AM. I was then told to go do some errands! After the movers came with my stuff, they were very nice and apologetic about getting there late. While unloading my items, the movers notice some of my items were damaged and was very apologetic about that. They contacted their manager to inform them of the damage items. At the end of the move, I was informed that someone would be in touch with my regarding the damage and was informed that the company would replace the damaged item or would refund for the value of the item. That was on 8/18/17 and as of 9/8/17, I had not heard from anyone at Two Men and a Truck. On 9/9/17, I contacted Two Men and a Truck as they had debited my account for a service that I was no longer using and spoke with Tammy, again. I explained to her what happened and she stated that I would need to speak with John Coffer (may be spelling the name wrong). She took my contact information and said that she would make sure that he called me on Monday. Monday morning into noon, no call from John. I contacted Two men and Truck again and asked if the message was given to John and was told that it was. I told Tammy, again, that he hadnt called. I was told that he was now at lunch and she would have him to call me back. Tammy eventually called me back stating that the funds had been refunded back to my account. I asked about my damaged property and was asked about pictures. I explained that the movers had returned to the office with the damaged property but a damage report was filed. Tammy informed me that she would call me back after she located the paperwork. It is not 24 hours and I have not heard back from Tammy. I do have my copy if they need it!! I have left messages for John and he has yet to call me back. I feel that they are not trying to pay for the damaged items and if this is not the case, they could at least pick up the phone and call!! I will never use this particular location again!!

WORST SERVICE YOU COULD EVER RECEIVE – would have given a zero or less if it was an option. Never use this company. Youll regret it after they break your items - if you fix them yourself because youre so disappointed in them the first time and do not want anyone affiliated with their company in your home again, you will get NO reimbursement. Absolutely awful to pay about $400 to have your items moved, they show up 3 hours late, break your valuables, and dont reimburse you. Two men and a truck should not be allowed to stay in business and treat their customers the way they do. I had an appointment scheduled for Saturday morning between 8-9 am thinking this would mitigate any chance of them getting delayed at another job and being late. Well that didn’t work - I had to call twice that morning before movers finally showed up at 11 am. One mover informed us that he had called into work that morning, but they made him come anyway. He smelled very badly of alcohol and you could tell he was still drunk (which was later confirmed by his partner after my complaint). Throughout the process of moving, they put a large hole in the wall of my brand new house at the top of the stairs, broke the hinge and door on my desk so it is not usable anymore, and broke the top off of my dresser because it was ‘too heavy for them to handle easily on the stairs’. They filled out a damage report and told me I’d be compensated for everything – I figured everyone could have a bad day so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I received the worst customer service from the woman in the Greensboro office while handling my claim. I told her I was going to fix the damage myself but she said someone would be in contact with me anyway about it. She NEVER told me that if I didn’t let her guy come to my house to fix it that I wouldn’t be reimbursed. I did not want anyone else in my house from their company. Basically, I paid $400 for 2 guys to show up 3 hours late, break 3 of my items, and get no compensation. This company should not be allowed to stay in business and treat people the way they do. I hope this review keeps at least one person from using this awful company.

In May 2016, I paid this company at this location to pack and move my things out of state. Little did I know that it was the worst decision I had ever made by hiring them. The first day they packed up all my household items, then on the second day they put them in their truck, then they went back to the warehouse. The third day they were supposed to deliver to my new location. They never showed up. They showed up the fourth day, with a lame story about their truck breaking down at the warehouse. They not only inconvenienced me by the additional expense incurred by me for staying another night at the motel, but it turned out a few months later when I had gotten my things from storage moved to my house that 80% of everything I owned was gone. The people that worked in the warehouse the day they did not show up were the ones that stole everything I owned! Never trust all the reviews that you read each Two Men and a Truck are individually owned and operated. When I contacted the police to file a report, the detective said a new owner bought them out on June 1, 2016, and they destroyed all previous records when they took over. I would advise anyone that will move out of state to look for a reliable moving company, and also pack your own things if you can. I moved for a job so I did not have time to investigate different moving companies, but I can say dealing with this franchise was the worst experience of my life. It has cost me thousands of dollars in lost hours documenting items, locating receipts for purchases I made for the police report and insurance company, plus lost $3000. which is not reimbursed by insurance for packing material or paying them to pack. Also some things were broken and insurance doesnt pay for that either. I will need to start all over again buying all the necessities for my home. They took clothes, books, kitchen items, sewing basket, living room items, music boxes, pens, etc anything they could sell on eBay fast or keep for their own use! They also steal books and sell them on Amazon or eBay! Good luck on your move!
