Ive been to this store twice. First visit was great, as I got confused with a coupon for a free product which they were out of anyway, and two associates immediately grabbed me a little sampler bag full of awesome stuff from the back. I visited this store again today to go to the Benefit Brow Bar. I didnt get a service of any kind, but the woman worked me right in after she finished up her appointment and showed me how to do my brows; it was extremely helpful. Helped me color match them too and I left with two products I was very excited with, along with a wide variety of purple shampoo for blonde hair - they had a lot of high end options so I grabbed several to try. The store is a bit messy. However, let me add that while I was there, I saw several frantic customers flying around and picking things up and setting them down a few shelves down, repeatedly, not sure if they were poorly attempting to shoplift but I can see when you are dealing with this many wild customers things can get messy quick. Ive worked retail, and this location is high volume so Im more concerned with customer service in this situation, which has been great for me so far.

I hve been going to Ulta for all my beauty needs for a couple of years. I got to platinum status and the more I bought the more freebies I got. I like that they have a mix of high end and other products you can get at anywhere. However, their customer service is atrocious. Lines are always long, the staff are rude or unhelpful. I was in there the other day and there were only 2 staff at the till, one woman helping a customer with makeup and she said everyone else was on break. There were 2 other people that came up to ask her for help. Once when I asked two staff members a question, they looked at me rudely as if I was walking into a private conversation! In addition, I switched to Lancome makeup and the woman that works for them was bashing other products that I have used in the past!! I seriously think a manager needs to get in and do an overhaul of their terrible customer service. I have just switched to Sephora. I assumed the same products would cost more, but they dont and the customer service is much better and the staff are more knowledgeable.

This was an absolute no go for a makeup experience, I suggest you not go here for any a makeup services what-so-ever. I signed up for an appointment in which this young man with blonde/ orange hair tried to claim I changed the time and could not get the service I wanted. Last time I checked I am paying you, you are not paying me child. And for future advice make sure you tell your workers you can see all the conversation and expressions on their face due to the mirrors in the "salon" area. But Lisa in Lancome is a great lady, and needs a promotion because to Belk down the street, she is not fit for such a nasty work place. Also a new African American female worker that works there was so helpful and gave me her email for any other makeup services I needed, a sweet heart. In which this was an experience to show me I need to support my black sistas and brothas in black owned makeup businesses.

I am not happy with this place. I went in to purchase a Titanium flat iron. However I was a little confused about what brand to buy. No one offered me help and I was there for an hour. So I finally settled on a product that I googled and read the reviews on (while I was standing in the flat iron section). Well I went to use it the following morning and upon opening the box I discovered it was used. There were no instruction manual, the iron wasnt in plastic, the cord was wrapped around the iron instead of with a twist tie, annnnnd there were two strands of long blond hair stuck in the plates!!!! Oh the horror! I immediately took the iron back to Ulta. When asked what was wrong, I explained that it was used but she acted as if she didnt care. So ended up going somewhere else to spend my hard earned money and was treated way better.

I had an appointment with the salon manager today at 2:15. I got there at 12:30 to sit with my mom while she got her hair done to wait on my appointment. The salon manager sent the girl doing my moms hair to tell me at 2:15 she couldnt do my hair because the girls hair she was doing didnt take the color. My first issue is the salon manager should have told me herself. I asked to speak with her and she told me with the amount of hair I have she wouldnt have even been able to do my hair today. WHAT!!?? So I basically waisted half a day sitting here and another day when I actually am able to get my hair done. Horrible customer service. I spend a lot of money with this Ulta and I will not spend one more penny there. The salon manager had jacked up the girls hair before me anyways so maybe it was a blessing she didnt touch my hair.

I use to shop frequently at Ulta and found they were very helpful when I lived in Moore County, NC. I would agree with other reviewers that the staff is often rude, at times appears arrogant and pushy. Recently, I asked for assistance with a product and instead a young women with a poor presentation insisted I buy the product she wears which was twice as much. Why would I possibly care what product she wears and "loves." I often feel pressured to buy products the sales people recommend. They must work on a commission. Today I called to find out if they had a product I needed. I called three times and was disconnected then I was told they never carried the product, When I insisted they did the product was located, Not a nice experience at all. They do cater to my 70 year old, well dressed male friend,.

The girl that "helped" me out couldnt explain or answer any of my questions. She used the wrong brushes and she didnt even clean the product off of my face before putting in another brand/shade. I walked out so embarrassed because my face looked too caked. I asked her to help me find another setting spray that wouldnt make me oily I let her know I used to urban decay all nighter setting spray and she looked at me and said whats that and I replied a setting spray and she said oh ok laughing it off. Im not sure if she wasnt paying attention or maybe she really didnt know but either way she couldnt help me in that department either this visit was really crappy and so disappointing!!

H O R R I B L E. Seriously. Soon as you walk through the door the energy of the staff is nothing of friendly. I always dress comfy casual when I go there (sweats, tee) & I never once had an employee say welcome to ulta to me... never. I feel like they judge you on how you look before theyll speak to you. It actually happen recently, I walked in nothing... a lady walked in literally 5secs after me and the employee greeted her lol. They also twist and turn every promotion to avoid you using a coupon (when you clearly can smh -- oh and God forbid it be a free item coupon). Long lines, horrible staff, cluttered environment. Def not going back. Sephora here I come! lmao
