Just got done with a haircut. Theyd booked me with Anita - and I get there about 5 minutes early, check in, sit down. A woman with two sons comes in, checks in for Anita. They tell her that their appointment isnt till Dec. 20th. She insists its for today, and since shes a repeat customer (and Im new), they bump me to another stylist, Samantha. The woman thanks me for letting her sons take the slot Id booked. Like, great, next time, try actually booking your slot for the right day. Dont be rude and demand that I change my life around because you screwed up. But I let it go, because I have a pixie cut (that was waaaaaay too long) so whats the worst that happens? It gets cut too short and I let it grow out for a couple of months? Samantha takes my coat and umbrella and stores them in the closet for me. Then she takes me back, washes my hair (asks which products I use on it, if I flat iron or blow it dry, or if I just leave it curly). Then she finds a chair for me, and asks what Im thinking about doing with it. I told her I just wanted to take it back to the pixie shortness, that I didnt really like that it was puffing out on the sides as it grew out. She said it was a "stacked cut" and that she could do a version that was less stacked and would puff less. So I decided to go for it. She was very attentive to how short I wanted it cut - she took the most off the first time around, and as I insisted on "shorter," she cut maybe an eighth to a quarter of an inch off each time. She also agreed to my request for shorter bangs, but warned me that they would puff out a bit, but that mousse or gel or Moroccan Oil would weigh them down. Overall, it was a good clean salon and cut, even though they couldnt seem to keep their bookings straight. Biggest drawback? $51 for a haircut. Are you kidding me? It was good, but not so good that Ill only go there. For $51, it shouldve been a hair-changing experience. Ill be trying someplace else next time with those prices. Im a broke college student.

Horribly Disorganized! Ill make my story short. I got married in July and I had booked my wedding party to get our hair done at Capristos due to the good reviews, big mistake. My first experience was with my makeup trial, the schedulers had booked my trial with a girl who would not be in town on the day of my wedding, so I would have to have another trial with a woman who would actually be there on my wedding day. Never the less they charged me for the useless trial. Well, after the girl made me look like a cheap hooker with heavy, not well applied eye makeup, I decided not to have my hair done there. So several days after, when I had found a suitable salon, I cancelled all of the upcoming appts (including the bridal party for the wedding day). So I thought my experience was over with Capristos... well several weeks later, I got a call saying "Where are you? You were scheduled for a makeup trial." When I called back and explained I had cancelled the appt several weeks prior and confirmed that my bridal appt was cancelled, they seemed puzzled. Once I had absolutely confirmed that everything was cancelled I hung up in frustration. So I was absolutely appalled when I got a call the night prior to my wedding asking me to confirm my bridal party appt for the following day?! I asked/yelled "how can you be so disorganized?! I have cancelled this stupid appt like 5 times!"Believe it or not, MY JAW ABSOLUTELY DROPPED, when I received a call at my home and my cell around noon on my wedding day asking me in a very rude manner "WHERE ARE YOU? WE HAVE TIME BLOCKED OFF FOR YOUR WEDDING PARTY!" Well, I lost it. I mean I know people make mistakes but jesus, and to call me on my wedding day and be rude?! Save yourself the time and frustration and find a different salon.

I made an appointment here for waxing services with Lydia three weeks in advance, just before I was to leave the country for vacation. Ive been going there for waxing with her for quite some time and absolutely feel comfortable with her doing all of my waxing with her speed and professionalism. Today I went in for my afternoon appointment with her (the one I made three wks ago) and when I was checking in I told the gentleman at the front desk I was checking in for her. He gave me a puzzled look and told me that she was on vacation. !!!!!!!! My jaw dropped as he continued to look through the computer. Of course there was no record of anyone taking my appointment in the computer system there so he asked me "didnt anyone contact you?" ... umm no, no they didnt. I specifically planned this appointment around my schedule, obviously, and just in time for me to leave the country for 14 days. He told me she was coming back literally the day I was leaving. Great, so now what? He offered me Shellys services at a later time that afternoon. I had been planning for this for weeks and there was no time left so I had to accept just to get it done. So I thought, well now do I not only have no idea who this person is, Ive never even had my eyebrows waxed by her and now Im about to let her do literally a full body wax on me (full leg wax, underarm, AND brazillian) with no idea on her ability. I spent a LOT of money there for those services to be happy with the results; which is why I wanted Lydia. Awful service on the receptionist end. Ill find it extremely hard to step foot in there again, if only I can convince Lydia to move to a different salon.... I hope all of you reconsider when making an appointment at this salon!

I purchased the Living social deal for a free shellac manicure and pedicure because I thought it would be a fun, good deal before my wedding this week. I also got my eyebrows waxed as Im getting married this Friday and wanted to be well groomed. My experience here was absolutely ATROCIOUS. The facility was poorly organized, no one seemed to know what anyone was doing, they were more concerned with their stupid pagers going off than concentrating on the customer. The lady who trimmed my cuticles was rough and sloppy, my fingers are red and sore from most of my cuticles being ripped off. But the absolute WORST is the woman who did my eyebrows. I asked her to leave the natural shape of my brow- I HATE HATE HATE thin eyebrows. Instead, she spent the entire time telling me about how Americans know nothing about beauty and how shell do it right and how its supposed to be. When she was finished, my forehead area was flaming red and I have PENCIL THIN EYEBROWS. Two days later, here I am with huge, angry red welts all over my forehead and im getting married tomorrow. I absolutely regret stepping foot in this poor excuse for an establishment and I am absolutely devastated and LIVID that I have to cake on tons of makeup to cover these huge welts all over my skin. My wedding pictures are going to look horrible and Im so embarrassed- I should have just went with regular nails and hairy eyebrows. Now Ill look terrible AND be in pain most of the day. I am never, ever, EVER going to this crap-hole AGAIN.
