Megan has been doing my hair for three years and she is by far the best stylist that I have ever been to. She knows so much about hair texture and what styles look best with your facial shape and skin tone. I dont agree with the review below by "always" because I am also a blonde and no one can do my hair like Megan can...my hair has never ever been orange or a "solid color". Megan uses amazing techniques including block coloring to create dimension and depth. She has colored my blonde anywhere from vanilla, honey, to platinum and I get nothing by compliments from friends, family, and strangers. I have referred numerous friends to Fix Salon and they all love the experience just as much as I do. The lather lounge is the icing on the cake and all the Fix Staff make you feel so comfortable. The last time I was in there, they were offering complimentary makeup consultations while your color was processing. Also, if you are looking for a great updo for a wedding or event, Fix is the place! Megan did my hair for my own wedding and another time when I was a bridesmaid. With her, I never need a picture. I can describe what I am looking for and its amazing how well she listens and can envision whats in my head. I also have never ever experienced any "shouting" or unprofessionalism. Theres usually classical music playing in the background and it always such a relaxing experience.

Ive got a friend (who is a brunette) who goes to Megan because THEY are friends. I ended up going in to give it a shot. WHAT A MISTAKE. Im a blonde and am very specific on what Im looking for. NO golds, no oranges, nothing too warm. Im growing my hair out, so please dont take too much off and I dont want low lites as its summer time and I like to keep it light until fall. Megan was so busy bossing her assistants around her shoebox salon that she didnt listen to a word I said for my hair. Not only was it wrong, but it was $155 for her to get it wrong. Two days later I was getting it fixed to the tune of $215 at another salon. If youre brunette, this may definitely be the salon for you. If youre a blonde or require anything MORE than slapping a solid color on....stay FAR away. A sidenote on professionalism, Megan youre standing right at ear level and do not have to SHOUT at your clients. Also, its rude to gossip about your clients with one in the chair. All it makes me wonder is if youre going to do that when I leave.

Its my pleasure to be able to write such a stellar review of Janelle (the owner) and her staff at the Fix salon. My hair had really been overprocessed by some hairdressers and I had been looking for a truly great hairdresser for nearly two years. Janelle is really smart about her approach to hair color in general, and it is rare to find someone who can both cut and color well. I own a matchmaking company, Face to Face Charleston, where image consulting is one of the services we sell, so I have to look good. Based on my recent experience, I am planning on recommending Janelle at Fix Salon to both my female and male clients. My brassy blonde frizz problem has been replaced by a base color that matches my natural color, brightened up with copper penny highlights and then with layers of blonde highlights adding depth for a completely natural yet bright and fresh look, and the roots are layered in gradually. I love it and it looks good as it grows out, and gradually gets lighter from the sun. Thanks Janelle !

Just left the salon and had horrible experience to say the least. I had an appointment with Chelsea at 12:00 and then she texted me to tell me she was running late which was fine and to be there at 12:45. I arrived at 12:45 only to see she had someone in her chair. I sat down and waited and maybe five minutes and another person comes in and says they have a 12:30 appointment with Chelsea. At this point I was very confused and explained to the receptionist that I needed to be somewhere at 3:00. She told me that Chealsea would be out in a minute to talk with me. About 15 minutes later Chelsea comes out and asked me what service I was having done and then reassured me that I would be done by 3. So I waited, and waited, and waited it was now 1:40 and I knew there was no way she could low light/high light my hair, cut it and style it by three. Especially if she actually cared enough to take the time to do it the right way. Will not be returning very poor customer service.

I randomly found this salon and my stylist, Courtney, thanks to Instagram. I had been looking for someone to give me a balayage and then purple dye. I had never gone to a real salon like this before so I was really looking around and getting different prices and looking at everyones past work. When I asked how much they would charge for what I want, I was so happy to hear the lowest price I had found in the Charleston area! Urban Nirvana quoted me over double what I paid here. And I could NOT be happier with everything! Courtney did a really amazing job and was pleasant to chat with. She even did a touch up two days later when I decided I wanted it darker. I really cant recommend this place (and Courtney) enough! Makes me sad that Im moving away soon because I dont want to go to any other stylist!

I love this salon!!!! Rarely do you find a salon thats this trendy and stylish with people that are so friendly and easy to talk to. They can handle whatever ideas you have in your head too-- I came in looking to do kind of a specific unusual color, and Melany goes, "oh yeah no problem I can do that!" I was really nervous because it was a huge transformation for me, but it came out looking absolutely fabulous. I feel like she was really able to read my personality too and give me a cut that went along with it well. Literally everyone I talked to and many people I dont usually talk to have come up to me just to exclaim, "ahh your hair!! It looks so good!!!" So I tell them and all of you reading this to go to Melany because shes the hair artiste :) Thanks Melany!!!

Jenelle at Fix Salon Studio in West Ashley is nothing short of amazing! Shes not only a great stylist but also shes a John Paul Mitchell National Educator so she really really knows her stuff, especially hair coloring and the latest big city styling looks, the latest hair styles and cutting techniques, etc. When it comes to hair cuttting, hair styling and most especially hair color, Jenelle is the bomb! I was recommended by my sister to check out Fix Salon. I was a bit weary since I am a guy and not used to going to a salon for a haircut. From the moment I called to make an appointment to the moment I left after that appointment, everyone in the salon made it feel like I was their only customer. Their staff is supremely professional, caring, and quite funny. I have been going now for a few months and I enjoy and appreciate it every time. I definitely recommend this salon, especially to any guy looking for a change.
