After calling around to get a price for a new VW key, these guys had the best. I got a quote from one guy. When I called back two days later to order I was told a different price. I told this guy the price I was quoted and he put me on hold for 5 minutes. When he came back he said we dont usually sell these keys for this price but since you were quoted that, we will. I should have Know then that this was going to be problems! Once they got the key, I took my car to them and they programmed it. The key worked great! BUT my display was stuck in some sort of programming screen. They told me to drive it for about 100 miles and it will "learn the new key". I didnt think this would solve the issue but I did it. I was right. After a week, the dash still displayed the programming mode. So I call and last Friday I took it back in. After about 40 minutes they told me it was done. I walked out to get my keys and the owner or manager tells the guy behind the counter to charge me $50 for another key. Wait a minute! I didnt ask for or want another key. Well he went on to say that the only way to fix it was to program another key so he did a "cheap" key and it was going to be half off at $50 if that is ok with me! Um No! HELL no! You made the mistake, you fix it on your dime. Well he got a little huffy and kind of threw the keys at me and said just take it and have a nice day! Now, I didnt feel comfortable leaving with the extra key but he insisted so I left. I drove off and notice that the door lock while driving feature was not working properly. Every time I stopped and started the door would try to lock. Well this continued and I still doing it today. So I called Glenn and informed him that something was not right. He said he didnt do anything to it. Told me he didnt hook it up to a computer when I saw him do that. Told me that I was wrong and he was not going to fix it. Now this is just not right. He did something to cause this and now he will not fix his mistake (his second mistake). He got loud and told me several times that he will not work on my car again. Then hung up on me. If you are going to run a business and offer a service then you need to make sure you know what to do and you need to fix your mistakes. Unfortunately for me, I will be taking my car to VW to get fixed. Perhaps I should send this hot head Glenn the bill. He has a temper problem and clearly he does not know exactly what he is doing. I will NOT trust him with my vehicles again. Learned the hard way. The rest of you thinking about using this place, please learn from my mistake and do not go here.

I needed two keys copied: one for our truck and one for the camper on our truck. I went on a non-busy night. A handful of us were there. It took me almost an hour to have the ONE key copied. They said they didnt carry the type of key the camper is. They charged $20 to make two copies of the truck key - a 1990 Nissan truck - NO chip or anything special. Just a flat silver key like vehicles used to be. He said it would have been $14 for one, or $20 for two. That price is ridiculous for the old style key, and double what anyone else in Raleigh would charge. A rip off. I had already driven there, however, seeing as how they claim they can do many unusual keys, so I figured the camper key would be one. Alas, while the place is bright, clean, and the staff friendly enough, I got ripped off for convenience sake since I was already there, and left without one of the keys copied at all. I personally would never go there again and would not direct anyone there for any reason.

I was tremendously pleased with the service that I received from Key Harbor. My one and only master key fell down a storm drain, and I needed a company that specialized in creating new key fobs for customers who did not have any keys from which a duplicate could be made. Lexus flat out told me that they could not do it, and that it would cost roughly $1300 dollars for them to contract out. They recommended that I contact Key Harbor. So, thats what I did. Within a few hours of my requesting their service, I had new keys. Matt, the person with whom I worked, was extremely kind and helpful. Though the price (roughly $850) was MUCH more than I would have wanted to pay to replace my car key, I am grateful that Key Harbors price was substantially lower than the price Lexus quoted me. With the exception of the price, my service could have not been any better! I am very pleased, and I recommend Key Harbor to others.

For my first time getting a replacement for my key, Key Harbor made my first time perfect and cheaper. The dealership was quoting more than $330 but Key Harbor did $100 less which was perfect, but thats not the only reason why my experience was perfect. They were very understandable including when it came to us being late due to the arrival of the towing from chapel hill to Raleigh. They cared about my experience and wanted to make it clear for me that if I get lost just give them a call or anything. Then I walked in they quoted me 45 mins, which is fine, its not like Im in a mall ha ha. But probably 15 mins late it was ready. Great service, perfect time. They most deff have my business next time and Ill be recommending them to my friends.

My wife came up to the store yesterday for a new fob for her car key because the old one was broken. They charged her over 100 dollars for a fob and made her a new key ( so now she has 2 keys, when originally all she had when she bought the car was one) , when all they had to do was put a new fob on her original key for 50$, I know because I have done this before with my car! I just called in today and spoke with the store manager to inquire politely and respectfully about the pricing, she got offensive and cussed at me and hung up the phone. This is the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever experienced from a so called Manager of a store! Dont EVER get your keys done from them EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They will replace your battery in your key only for it to die a month later. They will blame you for your key battery burning out such as "you may have bumped it in your pocket". The lady working the phone 12/05/2014 started listing several reasons why their not liable for any faulty batteries on their end. Simply put, their batteries suck and they claim that they test it before they install ...BS. How do you think they get return business? No customer care at all.. PS. This is the type of company that will smile and love you for your business, but will stab your back if you return to them with an issue from the service they provided.
