This has been literally the worst experience of my entire life with a salon. I went into the Cary location first and they destroyed my hair. I asked for strawberry blonde hair, showed her some pictures and she said no problem. First it turned blonde but instead of telling me the "senior stylist" put a ton of red toner in it. So it was a dark maroon stripy mess, when I complained she just put more chemicals in telling me she was just "washing the conditioner out", another woman started helping her and after four hours I was left with strawberry blonde roots with pink and white hair that is breaking and coming out in clumps. It was so bad I actually cried. Then they tell me that some people really want pink hair but to come in to the North hills location to meet with a "master stylist" to fix my hair and again I show them a picture of strawberry blonde hair and again Im told it wont be a problem. Another couple of hours and I have a terrible mess of dark auburn roots with ashy brown spots throughout. When I told her thats not what I asked for she said yes it was the same as the picture. I said no it wasnt then she said well this is all I could do because "your dark roots were coming in" (just a week after they had bleached them?) and was told to curl my hair to hide the splotchy color. Again they never told me it would be a problem they just said it would be ok and shed be able to give me a strawberry blonde color. I finally just had her cut off most of my hair and Ill have to deal with this mess until I find a salon that actually knows how to color hair. Edit in reply to the response: I never said I loved it. I said it felt better than it had because your "senior stylist and manager" had overly processed my hair and that was admitted to me by both the director and the master stylist. The color I showed both stylists was the same and it was strawberry blonde and Id be happy to show it to you. My hair was not in a bad condition when I came in the first time and I never had "boxed dye" in my hair. Both your director and master stylist told me my hair "was not in that bad condition and was typical of being overprocessed which is what she did to your hair". So now youve lied and this is the third time your salon has tried to blame me for your screw ups. After chopping off the vast majority of my hair, it is still ash brown throughout most of it (when it was pink and blonde thanks to your first attempt) and dark auburn at the roots.

No. Just no. I made an appointment here after a client recommended it. I have a small stripe of blond in my hair, and wanted a cut, and root touch up for this 1" wide area. I told them on the phone that I wanted a cut, and had a very small stripe that I needed root touch up on. My stylist was Genevieve, one of the master stylists. We talked about what I wanted for color, and she went ahead and used approximately 4 foils on this area. As far as my cut, she basically touched my hair and said "just a trim?", and that was that. No questions about how I wear my hair, or what I felt like it needed. At the end of the whole process, I was charged $80 for the haircut (as expected, listed on the menu of services), and $90 for the 1" root touch up with toner applied. I have had this strip of blond for 2 years, and had it touched up at various places, never paying more then $30 each time (including toner). Unfortunately, not only was the price shocking, she did a poor job in keeping where the original blond was, pulling new chunks into what she did, making it look more like a blond splotch then a strip of hair. I called after leaving and asked to speak to a manager. Was given the run around. "No, theres no manager here now", I asked if there was a time I could call back to speak to a manager and the girl on the phone asked if she might be able to help me. When I explained what had happened, and that I was kind of shocked no one had taken the time to tell me that I would be paying the same price for a small section of hair as I would be for my entire head, she tried to explain that it was because I saw a Master Stylist. I called back today and again was given the run around when asking for a manager. After I further questioned when a manager would be available, I was told that there was no manager at the North Hills location. Not only was I shocked at how much I was charged without someone just explaining how the salon charges, how poor of a dye job I received (and hair cut, but the way, but I wouldnt have complained about it, would just have dealt with bad hair for the next few weeks), but I was most appalled by how terribly my complaint was handled, and that they have refused to remedy the situation. I would never recommend this salon to anyone.

I visited Von Kekel a few months ago. I went in b/c my hair is growing in darker and I had highlighted my hair some and decided that my super long hair should not be highlighted anymore and I was going to embrace my natural color. I had grown my hair out about 4 inches (8 months of growth) and had plenty of root color to work with. I had about 50 pictures of ombre, which i wanted to use as a way to transition away from my blonde and roots look into an "on purpose" transition of color. I explained that i just wanted a few well placed highlights. i went over in great detail what I wanted, referencing pictures showing dislikes with examples and likes with examples. i said my hair did not need color all over as it was really healthy and too fine for color. 400 dollars later and a few hours, i had RED roots and bleach blonde hair. it looked terrible. i looked like a freak. i said i wanted to look professional and i looked like a stripper. my boss the next day told me that my hair was NOT ok. the worst part is, that my beautiful hair, my favorite feature and something ive worked so hard to acquire, was FRIED. SO FRIED. a good 20 inches of perfectly good beautiful hair is trashed. i had to go back to get something done about it so we dyed my whole head again... this time brown. and cut off.. about 5 inches. i tipped 50 more dollars. they gave me a free dye job. and a moisturizing treatment. well it faded out pretty quickly and thats ok. but what i cant get over is the damage. it is a constant battle everyday. i think about this experience EVERYDAY. my hair tangles all the time. i cant style it b/c its so damaged. im afraid to dry it so i have to take showers at night so i dont leave my house with a wet head in the cold. this is a problem that ill have to deal with for a few YEARS. i spend so much money on expensive conditioners and oil. what happened is NOT ok. and the worst part is, i spent over 450 dollars on this nightmare.
