It all started on August 15 (2016) when we had Bill from Gridiron Guys come to our house for a estimate on a roof replacement, gutters and downspouts, new soffits, and a sunroom roof rebuild. He was very prompt on his arrival time, courteous and patient with us. He took his time didnt make us feel rushed and answered all our questions we had. He basically had us sold on there company and not just that, the estimate he gave us was reasonable and in our price range of what we could afford. Unfortunately that was the ONLY part of the experience that was pleasant. Everything from that point on was nothing but a hassle and a total inconvenience!! Due to the rebuild of the sunroom roof needed he did inform us that he need a couple days to get in touch with their subcontractor carpenter to relay the work needing done. Based on that he would touch base in an couple of days for sure. Well couple of days took the end of the week and we heard nothing. Wanting to get the ball rolling asap, my husband contacted the office. The receptionist gave him Bills personal work number. He called, no answer and left a voicemail. A week a came and went and still no response. Finally going on 2 and half weeks (since intial visit) he finally returned our call apologizing saying he was in vacation. We accepted and brushed off the incident giving benefit of the doubt that things happen. Well again unfortunately that seemed to be his work pattern. After that last coversation he said his subcontractor was going to come out and take measurements for the sunroom, and then hell call us & let us know what to do from there. That took an additional week for that to even take place. Which was taking us into the middle of September. The communication with Bill was nothing but a struggle. He seemed to never touch base with us on ANYTHING unless we contacted him first!. So again an additional week passed since the contractor came out and nothing. As usual my husband contacted Bill and yet left another voicemail. Surprise!!! It took Bill ANOTHER week to call us back! Doing his apologetic spiel said he had issues with the first subcontractor, and he was going to work with someone else get the job done in a more timely fashion. He said he was going to personally come out with the new subcontractor so they can be sync and finally get the ball rolling. Less then a week they both came out discussed what needed to be done in order to redo the sunroom roof. They came to assumption that they needed to get things approved by the zoning department and it should take about a week to get approved and hear back. Im sure you can guess what happens next. A week comes and goes and NO call from Bill. Of course the usual took place of leaving a voicemail..and him not returning anything in a timely matter. He was starting to really push buttons further more then before. This is really starting to get old. We were CONSTANTLY getting strung along by him and nothing was getting done. We had the impression that they just didnt want to do the work..for whatever reason. But still going this far with them we called again and he finally said "the zoning department didnt get back to him yet." We dismissed his claim and just decided to be done with them. We were over the over promising of getting the job done. What was more frustrating is we wasted 6weeks of "commiting" to a company that wasnt willing when we could of spent time looking/dealing someone who was interested and fall was approaching ..and we REALLY needed roof done. We went on vacation the first week in October and to my surprise while on vacation we received an email from Bill, giving us the final estimate with the sunroom provisions include from the approval of the zoning department. We called him within the week saying we wanted to proceed and just do it since again..winter was around the corner and we were entering the 2nd week of October. He said by the end of the month (Oct) they would start the job. Unfortunately that was the last and final time talking/hearing from Bill. DONT waste your time with them!!!

Would I hire Gridiron Guys again? Absolutely! Would I recommend Gridiron Guys to friends and family? Without a moments hesitation! Recently my association replaced all 42 roofs for our cluster homes. They not only did the job in 2 weeks but they did not cut corners doing it. They were prompt, professional, and courteous. They took the time to answer all questions any of the homeowners had and they cleaned up after themselves. Gridiron Guys did such a great job on the roofs and handled themselves with such integrity that I personally hired them to replace my windows this past spring. Once again they were patient with us while we went through the process of picking out new windows. Gridiron Guys took the time to answer all our questions and if they did not know the answer they went out of their way to find the answer. They researched several brands of windows for us to find just the right replacement window for us. They did a fabulous job. I will not hesitate to hire them again and again and again.

the roof looks beautiful but the promise of full clean up was not kept. I suppose if I had been home that outcome may have been different. I just weeded my flower beds where I found pieces of roofing, tar paper, nails and strips of cellophane. Previously, I had found numerous pieces of cellophane and rubber bands when I mowed the lawn. I made the mistake of giving my neighbor the check to give to the crew when the job was done. The salesperson had said no money would change hands until I was satisfied. I was truly convinced that the job would have a perfect outcome. Should have held onto the check until I was home and could have inspected the yard and beds myself. As they say,my bad. Have no way of knowing if the roof was done as sloppy as the clean up.Only time will tell,

I had the best experience ever with the Gridiron Guys! I had several contractors come to my home to give me estimates after my initial estimate from Bill Sr. Bill had explained everything in detail to me and gave me locations of other jobs they had completed. He didnt beat around the bush or try to up-sell me. Other contractors tried to sell me things I didnt need and they treated me like I was less than human because Im a woman. I appreciate Bill Sr., Bill and Brett... and the crew. They were polite, fast, cleaned up THOROUGHLY after themselves. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a whole roof or anything pertaining to their business. Loved them!!!

We had a reconstruction loan for our 1901 farmhouse and had to completely redo the roof. Our loan also had to include mold remediation due to the fact that the previous tenants had left the roof completely unfinished. While the team was professional on the job, we discovered a leak in the kitchen shortly after they finished. Despite multiple attempts to correct the problem and one visit to "correct" it AND them being paid in full, I still have buckets in my kitchen each time it rains and now am facing another costly mold remediation. Sadly disappointed in their services. Having paid over $9000 to have the job done right... Im sorry that I wouldnt recommend these guys.
