I recently had a dreadful experience with a swing arm security barrier which was set to automatically open as a car approached. To my dismay, it opened toward me instead of away. Before I could put the car in reverse, I watched in horror as the arm scraped its way across the hood of my car, leaving a 5 to 6 foot long, quarter inch or so wide, ugly scrape. I got several estimates and decided to have Gary Rains Body Shop do the work. It turned out to have been a good decision. Every interaction I had with a member of the staff was extremely positive. Mark, who greeted me when I first walked in the door invited me into an office and offered me a seat. We discussed my problem and then went outside to examine the hood of my car. I told him I had been told elsewhere it might be possible (not probable, but maybe possible) to just buff it out, but Mark explained to me why that would not work. He showed me that it was not just a shallow scraping of the clear coat, but it went through the clear coat in places and was actually dented. I could see he was right. He prepared an estimate that was very competitive and acceptable to me. After making an appointment for me to bring the car back in for repair, he asked me if I would need a ride back home. I told him I could take a taxi, and he said that was not necessary…someone would take me back home. Mark treated me with utmost courtesy and respect. The day I took the car in, Rocky was there to greet me. He had me sign a consent and power of attorney form, and like Mark, was most courteous and respectful. A young man named Kyle drove me home in his own car. He was a perfect gentleman, friendly and talkative, and so very polite. When he dropped me off, he waited until I unlocked the security door to my apartment building and entered the building. Only then did he leave. Lest any of you reading this be saying to yourself…OK, but what about the quality of the work? My answer: PERFECT. When I went to pick up the car, Rocky was there again to greet me. We went outside to take a look, and if I did not know any better, I might have thought I had a brand new hood. Looking at it from all different angles, I cannot see a single dip or wave or flaw. And the paint matches perfectly. In addition, the car had been washed, and on top of that, the whole interior had been cleaned. I don’t know the name of the person(s) who worked on my car, but I would like to extend kudos to them. Either Gary Rains sends his people to a customer service seminar, or he simply knows how to hire the right kind of people. Either way, Gary Rains Body Shop will get my business in the future, as needed. I just hope I don’t ever have another confrontation with a security barrier!

My vehicle was released to the salvage yard without my OK and when I asked how that happened I was met with outright hostility. Mark spoke to someone else in the room saying "I dont know and I dont care" and "all she wants to do is argue" thinking I could not hear him. I then spoke with the manager Joe, after telling Mark I could hear him and Mark gave me a final answer of "I dont care, heres the manager". Joe was much more respectful and helpful. He answered my question calmly, apologized for the miscommunication and for the deplorable customer service. I have been very happy in the past with every interaction with this shop but felt in this instance that since Mark was speaking with a woman, he couldnt be bothered to answer my very legitimate question.

The worst service i have ever had in my life. The managers are terrible.... The owner of the actual shop was not respectful at all.... They messed my car up and blamed it on me after it was done in there shop by one of the workers and they tryed pushing it off on me and not to mention the paint work..... Terrible!!!!! Air bubbles, Paint drips, just so much more!!! i will never be taking my car back here and id be sure to give everyone else a warning before they think about going here. I would not let them touch anything of mine ever again! And i had to have another shop fix there mistake!! Hard to believe they are still in business.

Great work. I hit a deer and had significant damage to the car. After they fixed it, it was if it never happened. Car drives great and looks great. Will go there again (hopefully not after hitting another deer).
